Life Game In Other World-Chapter 1680: Orchestrating Fate
"What?!" Vestan raised his head and looked at the sky.
In the bright firmament above, among the outlines of the cities suspended upside down, a ’central building’ serving as the ’anchor point’ was flickering violently.
"Is it the orphanage of Xiluo City?!" Vestan turned his head, looking at He Ao, "What did you do?"
"Maybe your people are just too incompetent?" He Ao shrugged, speaking casually.
Vestan’s face darkened, he snorted coldly, "You can’t even imagine who I’ve arranged in Xiluo City."
"Oh." He Ao shrugged, offering no comment.
"I’ve locked all the crucial memories of key personnel beforehand," Vestan’s face sank, "They’ll only be unlocked at the action time, following my plan. You can’t obtain those memories controlling core items via pre-interrogation or mind reading."
"What if they’re too incompetent and have been caught, revealing key information?" He Ao said casually.
"Impossible!" Vestan shifted his gaze back to He Ao, "What did you do?"
"Are you two the same person?" He Ao glanced at him, then at Estella beside him, "You have quite a severe case of split personality."
"Are you changing the subject?" Vestan paused abruptly, "You’re stalling for time?"
He immediately raised his head, looking up at the mist in the sky.
Within that mist, a central building with a church city outline started flickering intensely.
The originally symphonic frequency in the sky was disrupted by the chaos between the two cities.
At the highest point of the mist, the source of all the trembling, a presence larger than the sky itself, seemed to slow down as the rhythm broke.
"There’s an unexpected change in the plan," Estella said without hesitation, standing at the front, "Immediately commence the ritual."
"Forcing the ritual now will greatly increase the failure rate." Vestan’s figure flickered, appearing beside Estella.
"But there’s no time to worry about that now." Estella quickly replied.
Almost the moment her words fell, a city outline with a stadium as its core began to flicker again.
"Execute that kid, he’s certainly doing something destructive in secret." Vestan immediately said.
As he spoke, between the surrounding pillars, dazzling green light suddenly lit up, illuminating the dim sky and field as if it were daylight.
Immediately after, these lights, like slender spears, densely pierced towards He Ao.
He Ao quickly maneuvered within the narrow space, evading the green light.
But when those slender rays hit the ground, they tensed like ropes nailed into the earth, sealing off part of the space.
The space He Ao could move in rapidly shrank under this incremental blockade.
At this moment, He Ao merely lifted his head, looking at Estella, and loudly asked, "I have one more question. You’ve used an angel’s body to control divine power and sealed a usurper god. You couldn’t even fully control the array."
His figure was large, breaking through the dim night beneath the field, "Can you tell me who gave you this sealing method back then? Or has the person who mastered the method already died?"
Regardless of what He Ao said, Estella still faced away from him, expressionless, looking up at the sky.
The green lights piercing towards He Ao grew even stronger, nearly sealing his entire body.
Now, He Ao could almost only stand, spinning in a small enough space to turn around.
But his words didn’t stop, continuing to loudly call out to Estella, "Back then, your companions, seeing what you’re doing today, what would their expressions be? This seal’s drain is substantial, right? Only you survived, probably because they made a choice to sacrifice themselves and let you live!"
His voice grew louder, mingled in the hazy mist like trembling thunder, "They trusted you greatly, but does what you’re doing now really deserve their trust from back then?"
The dim void trembled slightly, and a capable woman with a high ponytail appeared almost instantly in front of He Ao.
Through the gap between pillars, green light filled her pupils. She gazed at He Ao, her voice fast and hoarse, "Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to. You’ve had Denon propagate your deeds, letting everyone across the Northeast Twenty-Six Cities know your name and recognize you."
She gazed at He Ao, "Using that recognition, you established some kind of mystical connection with them. I don’t know what you did, but clearly, it’s some kind of high positional grade ability, related to assistance and layout."
She raised her hand, a green light suddenly erupted, piercing through He Ao’s body, pinning him down.
"This is the power you received from the god you prayed to, right?" Her voice was cold and hoarse, "But choosing an assistance-related ability means your combat power isn’t strong, let alone that your body itself has been assimilated abnormally, unable to truly contain strong power."
She raised her hand, dense rays shot out from all directions, "If you hid behind the scenes as a strategist, I’d really need to worry a bit, but now that you’re here, becoming my captive, your fate is already sealed."
"Is that so?" He Ao gazed at her, a slight smile curving his lips.
In the next instant, the green line piercing his body was suddenly torn apart, and his figure dashed forward like an illusion.
Purple light covered his body, and red radiance ignited his eyes.
Between the colossal stone pillars, the green light flickered once, but just a moment later, it disintegrated abruptly, torn apart by the terrifying and vast power.
The spear enveloped in red light reached Estella in an instant.
Estella clearly didn’t react to He Ao doing such an action, her body swayed to pull away.
But the spear with red light already arrived before her.
The crystal spear tip landed on her fair throat, grazing her skin.
But she still dodged away, instantly pulling a distance from He Ao.
At the same time, gigantic stone pillars suddenly rose from in front of her, forming a massive circle, enclosing He Ao.
Dazzling rays linked between the pillars, and immediately walls interconnected before the pillars, creating a vast and magnificent coliseum-like region.
He Ao’s figure flickered as he tried to escape the arena’s cover, but the arena, like the previous cage, seemed to follow his body, firmly enclosing him within.
And behind He Ao, the stone pillars originally used to seal him had disintegrated into the formless void.
He Ao raised his head, looking ahead.
Estella’s current display of abilities has already surpassed the scope of an Angel.
"Interesting, you still managed to obtain the War God’s power." Right now, directly in front of He Ao, in the uppermost seat of this ’Arena’, Estella reached out, touched her neck, and green-glowing blood flowed from the long thin wound on her neck.
Her skin writhed, trying to quickly heal this narrow wound, but each time the skin was about to close up, a red glow appeared, forcibly maintaining the wound. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"Taunting to attract my attention, then use the ace for a deadly strike," Estella no longer bothered with the wound on her neck. She lowered her head, looking at He Ao, "But you should also know your body cannot endure too much power, even if you truly have Angel Tier power, you wouldn’t be able to use it."
"Cough—"
Standing at the center of the arena, He Ao lightly coughed, glanced at the blood mixed with red, purple, and green glow in his palm, and the ’K Badge’ pointed at ’Nell’ in his palm, remaining silent for a while.
Just now, he had activated Super Memory in an instant, while obtaining the high positional grade and power of Super Memory, he had prayed to Nell for part of the War God’s Divine Descent.
Everything he said and taunted earlier was a setup for this moment.
However, Estella’s reaction speed was even stronger than he had anticipated.
Though Estella had always been reclusive, she was different from those angels who grew up in the later Federation without much fighting.
She truly walked from the Great Cataclysm era to the Original Federation, and then to the current Federation, during which she even participated in the sealing of the Usurper God. Her combat proficiency and combat intuition are not comparable to angels that grew up in the Federation era.
Her speculation about He Ao’s means of interfering with her plans was actually correct.
The ability of a ’Memory Inheritor’ is to manipulate others’ memory and fate through mysticism links, but previous roles had mystical isolation, making it impossible to directly influence others through the past roles’ fame, and those roles likely didn’t have high enough fame in the Northeast Region.
This was why He Ao initially got Denon to promote his ’deeds’.
Using the promotional machinery of the Abnormal Association to forcibly inject his existence into the Northeast Twenty-Six Cities, giving the entire Northeast Region a basic impression of him.
Once the fundamental mysticism link was established, He Ao could influence their memories, weaving their fate.
Of course, He Ao didn’t manipulate every individual’s fate, as that would be too entangled. He only wove some false memories as ’suggestions’, allowing those he selected to discover or do certain things smoothly.
Those he chose included both members of the Abnormal Association and the Anomaly Sect.
The ’Strategist’ ability also helped him to a certain extent, enabling him to better handle certain details, subtly changing parts to let the entire event proceed as he anticipated.
The operation of the Federation Twenty-Six Cities Abnormal Association went smoothly for this reason.
Yet, throughout, he didn’t completely refrain from changing destinies, some high-grade Transcendents from the Anomaly Sect could use props to identify false memories.
Only by truly invoking and modifying real memories, skewing actual fate lines, could the anticipated effect be achieved.
Nonetheless, throughout the entire process, He Ao was extremely restrained, modifying as few key points as possible to achieve results with minimal effort.
This was his first large-scale group editing and influencing of fate, he was exceptionally careful but also felt the intricate connections and changes in fate lines.
And ultimately, the result followed his plan.
Even if Estella could guess He Ao’s operations, it was already hindsight; now she has no way to forcibly intervene in the proceedings of the entire event.
Once the Northeast Twenty-Six Cities are fully controlled, the so-called anomaly release plan will naturally ’calm down’.
Above the Firmament, the mirrored city shimmered, one after another, ’Abnormal’ anchors began to have issues.
Standing on the high platform, Estella deeply gazed at He Ao, understanding the current situation. Her voice raspy with a sigh, "When I first met you, I really should have killed you directly."
"Then I truly should thank you for sparing me then, cough—" He Ao covered his mouth, lightly coughed, and said with a smile.
"But it’s not too late now." Estella looked down at him, lightly raised her hand.
Lights and shadows gathered in front of He Ao, transforming into Vestan’s appearance.
"Kid, I still have to make a move, huh," Vestan said with a smile, "If it were me, I’d definitely want to kill you anytime."
He gazed at He Ao, sneering, "You suffered some heavy damage just now, didn’t you?"
Green glows covered the Firmament above, forming a radiant dome sealing the entire arena.
Meanwhile, in the ’audience stands’, Estella’s figure had already disappeared.
Boom—
Violent roaring sounded above the Firmament, in the mist-filled sky, a vast and terrifying invisible giant began intensely moving again.
The anomalies flickering in the sky seemed to be fixed by some horrifying force at this moment, and then, the clouds covering the sky began to tremble slightly.
Estella seemed to be trying some means to forcibly drive the ’release’ process.
He Ao lowered his head, looking at the huge light and shadow in front of him.
Vestan, or rather Estella’s judgment was right; he indeed sustained significant injuries.
Estella’s experience was indeed rich enough to instantly determine that He Ao had used the War God’s power and gauge He Ao’s bodily condition.
The primary issue with He Ao’s body now isn’t whether it can withstand powerful forces, but the abnormal powers entrenched in his body, having become part of him.
As soon as Super Memory and War God’s power entered, these abnormal powers would cause fierce rejection reactions, leading to internal bodily tears and affecting his strength usage.
Otherwise, Estella wouldn’t have easily dodged He Ao’s last charged attack.
He Ao raised his eyes, looking at the restless mist in the sky, gripping the long spear in his hand.
He needed a kind of power, a ’medium’ that could harmonize the abnormal and Super Memory, and War God’s power.
If unable to reconcile these powers, he wouldn’t be able to fully exert the power of Super Memory nor defeat Estella.
He was bound to die.
However, as he gazed at the trembling sky, a slight understanding flickered in his eyes.
He took a small breath, and Divine Sense surged within him.
