Levelling Up, I Became The strongest Dragon Elementalist-Chapter 54: Artificial Cave
’So things are really bigger behind the curtains, like, whoever is doing this is gonna turn the United States into a fantasy,
Who builds an artificial volcano or whatever is it underground and for what gon damn purpose?’
Jayden scanned the terrain below them, beasts were lurking here and there.
Wild plants, Jurraic Moles, Flash Torture, horned bunnies—they were just all over the place, which meant this large building was abandoned...
"Or maybe built for future purpose", Jayden whispered, cuz no one could live here. They would certainly need to buy food and wouldn’t go past those beasts without a fight, except they can...
"Fly", Jayden raised a finger, "we can fly into the building!"
"Em... yo" Draco twisted his shoulders, "no wings!"
Jayden sighed, waving a hand slyly in the air, "We don’t need wings, just impersonate Iron Man.
Jayden paused for a bit, "Oh, dragon, you wouldn’t know him. Just conjure rocket fireballs beneath your limbs while keeping a straight posture."
"Like this?"
"No, wait, wait..." Jayden caught his arm, "Any mistakes, you’ll be celebration for these beasts, but first, let’s focus on the main reason we came here."
"Oh right," Draco snapped his finger, "wait, don’t tell me you’ve already started cultivating!"
Jayden folded his arms and purred, "Since the moment we jumped the fence."
Draco grinned, punching Jayden in the stomach, "You cheater!"
Jayden giggled, "Alright, let’s get you cultivating so we get to see Azure soon.
Draco’s voice dropped, wearing a smile on his face. "Yeah, right."
Jayden bent low and placed a hand on Draco’s shoulder, "Think of that thing that never fails to trigger you."
Draco’s face frowned as he reflected on that personal burden of his and his body became steaming hot.
"Nice, too nice. Now do the reverse of the mana skin technique. Don’t force it, immediately your mana defence is off, air and mana would find its way...
Jayden’s eyes widened, ’This tiny little thing, he actually picked up such a complex technique in an instant, but I had to shout my throat out, just to describe how to open a taxi.
It’s certainly cuz I mentioned that girl’s name.
Hmph... lover boy.
Draco opened his eyes, "This is faster than cultivating in Vaelora."
Jayden smiled, "Only because you constantly keep creating space for more mana.
Well, while we’re cultivating, join me to check out what’s inside the..."
Jayden looked at it again, "Whatever it is."
"I’m with you, dude"
"Good", Jayden smirked, "just ensure you don’t fall to the ground, or the next time you’ll see Azure would be in the after world."
"See you there." Draco flew off to the corridor on the second floor of the volcano-like structure.
Jayden held both hands together, "Guess I’ve found his button."
He then followed suit with fireballs under his limbs, watching the pack of wild beasts roaring below him.
"Jay, watch out!" Draco rasped.
"Huu?" Jayden lifted his head to see a vampire bat charging right at him.
Jayden immediately took a deep breath, focusing within him and positioning his wind core at nighty degrees, in such a way that he could use his wind element only at full power.
The fireballs vanished, replaced by a massive torrent of wind, swilling protectively around Jayden
The wind current shifted the dust on the floor, picking up light objects into the air, and the vampire bat fought for control, but while it got closer to Jayden, it even lost composure and was carried by the current.
He reduced the pressure as he closed on the building and eventually leaned while everything went still.
Dust flickered lazily in the air and the bat crashed to the floor, probably seeing the earth spin around him.
Draco smiled, "You know the kinda vibes you give me?"
"What?" Jayden tilted his head. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"I feel you’re the only one who can dethrone my father.
"Huuu, why do you want the emperor de-throned?"
Draco looked upwards, "You know... the interbreeding restrictions law."
"Ohhh" Jayden rolled his eyes, "well. I’m no different, I still have a father I wanna kick his ass so badly.
Draco laughed, "We can swap, help with mine, I’ll help you with yours.
Jayden twisted the handle of the door with a cloth-wrapped arm, "No worries, we’re in this together."
The door didn’t open. He looked thoroughly to notice...
"It’s an access-controlled door, good thing I brought..."
Jayden frowned, "Where are the bags, Draco?"
Draco’s eyes widened then he stepped backwards, scratching his name and reluctantly said, "Um... outside the fence."
"Fuck" Jayden gritted his teeth, placed a hand on his temple while pacing around a spot.
"I think excess candy is the cause of all these," Draco muttered in Jayden’s mind.
"I’ll go get them," Baby Draco proposed
Jayden raised a hand, stopping him, "No, sit and wait here, I’ll go. And just so you know, no candy for the next two days
Jayden jumped off the corridor and a tornado of wind formed in his lower body, lifting him into the air.
"You can’t do that to me you know," Draco shouted with hands cupped around his mouth.
"Yes, I can!"
He flew out of the face and blasted through the woods, leaves and sust trailing behind him.
Plants reacted to attack him, but he sped past in an instant, and even a mana beast could only lift its head to see the tailing wind.
Jayden got outside the fence, and the bags were still where he left them.
"What a relief", Jayden whispered. Apart from the important stuff that was inside, he and Draco’s camp food for two days were there too, and if it had gotten lost, who knows if Jayden would survive Draco’s childish torments.
Jayden bent low to pick up the bag, but thanks to his wind senses, he felt something big, closing on him from the sky.
"Shit"
He turned to see a net big enough to catch a bull.
He gathered wind current and threw it at the net, causing the net to distort and fall on top of a nearby tree.
"Guards are aware of our presence", he clenched his teeth and looked deep into the woods, "Draco is in trouble!"
