Rick tried to look like he didn’t know what was going on. "I don’t know what you’re talking about."

Sylvia said, "I actually find his pride kind of cute." She moved to stand next to Rick and put her arm around his waist in a possessive way. "He has every right to be smug, just because no one gets a chance to fuck a dragon queen, you know?"

Sebastian said, "You two are both fucking hopeless."

"Anyway, I’m here to tell you that the bond network is now completely stable, and there are some new features you should know about."

Rick got excited. "New features like skills?"

"Yes, because it appears that surviving impossible trials and making bonds with dragons isn’t enough."

"You also get better powers." Sebastian pulled out a list that seemed to come from nowhere. "Let’s see. You have gained some dragon-like powers from your bond with Queen Sylvia."

"First, there is Draconic Sovereignty. When you protect other people, this passive ability raises all of your stats by 40%."

Rick said, "That’s massive, and do you know what else is massive?" and he was impressed.

"Shut the fuck up!"

"I was about to say low taper fade, but aight..."

"I don’t fucking care about that shit."

"Jeez, calm the fuck down, Sebastian."

"Moving on, you are now completely fireproof. It doesn’t matter if it’s dragon fire, regular fire, or magical fire."

Sylvia seemed happy. "My fire will never hurt you. That’s how it should be~!"

Sylvia let out a burst of fire blast that hit Rick’s entire body, but it didn’t have any effect at all, he raised his thumb just to say, "It’s not effective! All I can feel is warm... your love, that is."

Sebastian floated between them while holding their lips, "Save that shit for later! Focus on his new skill first!"

Sebastian went on, "There’s also Partial Dragon Transformation."

"You can now show draconic traits like wings, claws, scales, and more strength. You won’t turn into a dragon, but you can use some of its body parts when you need to."

Sylvia smirks, "That really explains why he can transform his massive dick into a massive dragon cock..."

Rick’s eyes grew big. "I can grow wings?"

"Only little ones, though. Don’t get too worked up."

"You won’t be flying across continents or anything like that." Sebastian looked at his list again. "And finally, the presence of the dragon. It has an aura of fear for intimidating your enemy."

"When you use it, you’ll show off some of your dragon authority, which will make weaker enemies hesitate or run away."

Rick said, "That’s amazing."

"Keep in mind, all of these features and skills are achieved because of sex. The system didn’t reward you EXP, but only skill." Sebastian said.

Rick focused and reached out through the bonds. He could feel them now, more clearly than ever.

Carmilla’s steady warmth was mixed with worry and relief. Natasha’s clear mind and unwilling concern. Liora’s gentle presence heals and brings so much joy. And Sylvia’s strong, possessive love is always present beside him.

Rick said in a soft voice, "They’re all okay. After what happened during the bonding, they’re all fine."

"Of course they are," Sylvia said. "They’re tough women, but you should still go back to Valdris soon to reassure them in person."

"Rick, they felt like you were going to die. They need to see that you are alive and well."

"Of course I will, but first, I want to check on you. You were so scared you had killed me."

Sylvia’s face relaxed. "I still am, honestly... I can’t get over the fact that I could have killed you during the bonding."

"Rick, I need to be careful with you now. Even though you have draconic gifts, you are still very much a mere mortal. I could hurt you without meaning to."

Rick said with confidence, "You won’t."

"You’re being too careful and too much in control. Now, if anything, you’ll probably be too protective."

"Is that a problem?"

He disappeared in a cloud of smoke, leaving Rick and Sylvia alone.

Rick fully recovered in the next few days, thanks to Sylvia’s attentive care. She was almost comically gentle with him, as if he might break at any moment, even though the bond showed he was stronger than ever. It was sweet to see the strong Dragon Queen worry about whether he was getting enough sleep and food.

Rick, on the other hand, saw changes in himself. The relationship with Sylvia had changed him in small ways.

He felt stronger, more sure of himself, and more aware of the power that was running through his veins. When he focused, he could feel the dragon energy just beneath his skin, ready for use.

One afternoon, when Sylvia was busy with council business, he tried out the Partial Dragon Transformation again. Rick stood in his room and concentrated on the feeling of dragon power, willing it to show up.

His body felt hot, and all of a sudden, his right arm was covered in red and gold scales that sparkled like Sylvia’s true form. His fingers got a little longer, and his nails turned into sharp claws.

Rick said, "Holy shit," as he looked at his changed arm. "This is crazy."

"I can feel it here... but when I have sex with Sylvia, my body parts change without my permission. What a weird thing to happen..."

He concentrated again, and wings came out of his back. They were smaller than a full dragon’s wings, which made sense for his human size, but they were real and worked. He tried flapping his wings and felt himself rise a little off the ground.

Sylvia walked in through the door. She stopped and stared in shock as Rick floated a foot off the ground with some dragon-like features.

"You’ve been practicing," she said, sounding pleased.

Rick landed in a strange way that broke his focus. The scales and wings disappeared, and he looked normal again.

"I’m sorry, I just wanted to know more about the new powers."

"Don’t say you’re sorry. I’m glad you’re looking into your dragon side." Sylvia walked up to him and ran her fingers over his arm where the scales had been. "You look great in my colors. The red and gold look really matches us as partners."

Rick said, "Everything about you suits me," without thinking, and then his face got hot because that sounded so sappy.

Sylvia just smiled. "That’s a good answer."
