Leveling Up by Seducing Milfs-Chapter 211. Spirit Bond Offensive
The sky above the Astral Deep turned into a battlefield that Zorathia had never seen before.
Thousands of humans, dragons, and demons worked together to attack the Forbidden Guardian in wave after wave of coordinated attacks.
Lightning cut through the dark stormy sky, fire exploded in bursts that were brighter than the sun, and ice built structures the size of buildings before breaking against corrupted flesh.
But even with all their numbers and power, Cthulhu was still the strongest.
The creature’s huge body took damage that would have destroyed whole armies. Three hundred mages from Fredrich’s Mage Council cast spells at the same time, causing a storm of elemental fury that lit up the ocean for miles.
Dragons with their riders swooped down and up, breathing fire and lightning while their mounts ripped at the Guardian’s wings with their claws and teeth.
Demon soldiers led by Vyra made attack formations in the air. Their Blood Price sacrifices made pools of red energy that they used to make powerful strikes.
Holy knights blessed by Liora’s temple surrounded themselves with divine barriers and ran straight at Cthulhu’s torso. Their holy weapons burned away corruption wherever they hit.
But the Forbidden Guardian’s counterattack was planned and brutal.
One of Cthulhu’s huge arms swept through a group of fifty mages, and the corrupted energy on its claws made them disappear. There were no screams or blood, but it was there one second and gone the next.
A tentacle shot out and caught a dragon in the air, squeezing it until its bones broke with a loud crack over the sound of the storm. Then it threw the body away like trash.
Rick was horrified to see demon soldiers being torn apart by grasping appendages. Their ability to regenerate was useless against corruption that consumed them from the inside out.
The holy knights’ divine barriers broke like paper, and the knights themselves were swatted out of the sky and fell into the corrupted ocean below.
The number of people who died was going up by the second, and they weren’t even slowing the creature down.
Fredrich’s voice came through the noise thanks to amplification magic: "We need better coordination!"
"Attacks that are spread out won’t work! We need to hit important points at the same time!"
Roderick answered right away. "Guild adventurers, formation gamma! Help the Mage Council with their next attack!"
The battlefield quickly and skillfully got back into shape. Mages made three circles around each other, each one channeling a different element.
Adventurers got into position to make openings. Dragons coordinated their breathing attacks. Demons got ready for Blood Price boosts.
"On my mark!" Fredrich raised his staff, and magical energy surrounded him, bending reality. "Three... two... one...!"
"NOOWWW!!!"
The coordinated attack hit Cthulhu from all sides at once. Fire, ice, lightning, earth, wind, holy light, and shadow all hit the Guardian’s body at once, creating an explosion that made a mushroom cloud that could be seen from Valdris itself.
Everyone watching felt a rush of hope for a moment.
Then the smoke cleared, and Cthulhu was still standing right where it had been, with only a few scratches. All of the creature’s eyes were on Fredrich, and something that could have been amusement flashed in their twisted depths.
Cthulhu’s response was quick and powerful. All six arms moved together, creating a wave of pure corruption that spread out like a tsunami.
The purple energy broke through magical, physical, and divine barriers with the same amount of disdain.
When corruption touched them, mages screamed as their bodies twisted into horrible copies of themselves and then fell. And some dragons fell from the sky, and their wings rotted while they were flying.
Demons who had lived through many battles just disappeared when the wave hit them.
Seeing all of that happening made Rick’s body shiver. "W-What the fuck is that...?! Isn’t that too overpowered?!"
"Am I already fighting the main villain here?! What the fuck...!!!" Rick starts complaining while dodging all of Cthulhu’s attacks.
"FALL BACK!" Fredrich’s order came too late for many people. "GO BACK TO THE SAFE DISTANCE AND REGROUP, NOOOWW!"
The attack forces retreated, leaving hundreds of dead bodies floating in the corrupted water or scattered across the sky. Everyone knew that the planned attack had failed.
Rick gritted his teeth as he watched the destruction. They were throwing everything they had at it, but all they were doing was killing more people.
There must be an alternative approach.
Then he felt it through the bond network. A pulse of determination from each of his partners, answering the question he hadn’t said out loud.
Carmilla’s voice came through their connection, and it was strong even though she was worn out. "Rick, we need to do what we do best... coordinated Spirit Bond attacks."
"One partner at a time, building momentum."
Natasha stated, her analytical mind piercing through the chaos, "The mass attack isn’t working, but we’ve beaten enemies that seemed impossible before by working together perfectly."
"The odds of winning go up a lot if we fight the way we trained."
Rick got it right away. It’s not the number of attacks that matters, but the quality. The power that flows through their bonds is not random, but rather focused intent.
"Everyone!" Ocean’s Hope carried Rick’s voice across the battlefield. "Step back and let us deal with this!"
"We’re going to show you how the Hero of Mature Hearts fights!"
He looked at Carmilla first, and their Unbreakable Bond throbbed with a shared goal. "You ready, Carmilla...?"
Carmilla raised her sword, and the weapon glowed with golden light that was stronger because they were connected. "As always, my dear Rick!"
They moved together, like two bodies with one mind. Rick made a current of ocean water that sent them both straight at Cthulhu’s chest.
At the same time, Carmilla’s Guardian’s Resolve reached its highest level. The skill that helped her last longer when she was protecting others now fed on her desperate need to protect everyone.
"GUARDIAN’S SACRIFICE!" Carmilla yelled, and her sword turned into something more than metal.
It became her will made real, her promise to protect made real, and her love for Rick turned into a cutting power that could cut through reality itself.
The blade hit Cthulhu’s body and went through it, making a wound thirty meters deep in the corrupted flesh. Black ichor sprayed out, and for the first time, the Guardian’s eyes looked like they were in pain.
But the wound started to heal right away, and corruption rushed back in to fill the space. Carmilla tried to pull her sword free so she could hit again, but a tentacle wrapped around her waist and pulled her back.
Rick stopped the tentacle from crushing her by using Draconic Sovereignty’s extra strength to rip it off. "Natasha! It’s your turn!"
Natasha was already moving, and her Frozen Clarity let her see exactly where Carmilla’s strike had gone the deepest. "Tactical analysis done! Weak point found...!"
All of her remaining mana was used up in one attack, and her ice magic gathered at one point. "GLACIAL ANNIHILATION: ABSOLUTE SINGULARITY!"
The spell formed into a sphere of ice no bigger than Rick’s fist, but it had enough cold in it to freeze an ocean. Natasha threw it at the wound Carmilla had made, and when it hit, the whole area froze in a flash.
Cthulhu’s body was frozen in ice that was colder than absolute zero. Corruption couldn’t grow back where the temperature had stopped existing.
The Guardian’s movements slowed as the ice spread, crawling up toward its head and down toward its legs.
Cthulhu was really stuck for five precious seconds.
"NOW...! Liora!" Rick shouted.
The High Priestess came down like a falling star, and her whole body was glowing with divine energy that had been building up during the fight. She had been saving her strength for this exact moment, when the Guardian would be weak.
"HEAVEN’S JUDGMENT: DIVINE EXECUTIONER!" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Seven spears of pure holy light appeared around Liora. Each one stood for one of the seven virtues that stood up to the seven sins of corruption.
She sent all seven spears simultaneously at Cthulhu’s frozen body, and where they struck, corruption did not merely burn away.
It was cleaned up at a basic level, and it was erased from existence as if it had never been.
