Leveling Up by Seducing Milfs-Chapter 139. A King’s Last Will
The creature’s body started to change again to adapt their strategy. It grew to fourteen feet tall, and its muscles bulged with stolen strength.
Spikes of hardened corruption shot out of its back, making a defensive wall that made fighting up close very dangerous. It healed faster, with wounds closing almost as quickly as they were made.
"It’s... adapting too fast!" Natasha yelled, and her analytical mind had already figured out the problem. "At this rate, it’ll be able to fight off our attacks before Spirit Unity runs out!"
Rick’s mind was racing. They needed a strategy that would target the corruption at its weakest point, preventing it from adapting.
As an idea came to him, his demon eye got brighter.
"Zara!" Rick yelled. "Please keep it busy for ten seconds!"
"Can you do that?"
The Demon General didn’t ask questions or wait. She just nodded and jumped right at the corrupted Zork’s face, with her blades pointed at its eyes. The creature roared and turned all of its attention to her, just like Rick had hoped.
Rick fell to the ground and put both of his hands flat on it. He made the demon eye stronger than Zork intended by putting all his strength into it. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Demon Sight showed him the ley lines of magical energy that ran under the training grounds. True Vision showed the world’s power flowing naturally, without any corruption.
"Sebastian!" Rick yelled in his head. "I need a boost for my system!"
"Send all the energy you have to the demon eye!"
The chibi butler appeared on his shoulder, and Rick had never seen him look so serious before. "If you push too hard, that will burn out the eye for good. Are you sure about this?"
"Do it!"
Rick’s body filled with system energy, and it focused on the amber eye until it glowed so brightly that everyone on the battlefield had to look away. The light hurt to look at because it was a concentration of power that seemed to be too much for reality to handle.
Rick opened his mouth and said one word. His voice sounded like the combined power of a Demon King and four Spirit Bonds.
"DOMINATION!"
The Eye of the Demon King’s most powerful ability was now in full effect. Rick’s gaze shot out invisible chains of pure will that wrapped around the Corrupted Zork’s very being.
For a brief moment, the creature stopped moving completely, its muscles locked in place as Rick’s willpower fought against the corruption’s hold.
"Everyone! Attack the core at once...!"
"NOW!"
The answer came right away and was too much to handle.
Sylvia fell from the sky like a meteor, and her full dragon weight hit the frozen creature’s chest. Her claws ripped through the vile flesh, making a huge hole.
Liora’s divine light focused on a single point, a needle of holy energy so pure that it made the corruption back away in fear. The needle passed through the hole Sylvia had made and went deeper into the core.
Carmilla and Zara hit the creature at the same time from opposite sides, their blades crossing in an X shape that cut through its body. The combined strength of their attacks made the wound bigger, exposing layer after layer of damaged muscle.
Natasha sent out a flurry of ice lances, each one following the exact path that Liora’s divine light had made. The frozen projectiles worked like surgical tools, cutting away corruption with accuracy instead of brute force.
Rick flew right into the wound they had made, with his Domination still holding the creature in place. He dove through the corrupted flesh like it was a nightmare, and his enhanced senses led him to the small amber light.
The corruption attempted to halt his progress with tentacles of purple energy that reached out to pull him back. Corrupting waves crashed over him, testing every part of his being that could resist.
The creature’s body was a hostile place that was meant to kill anything that tried to get this deep.
But...
Rick didn’t stop.
He recalled Carmilla’s warm smile, the sound of Natasha’s laughter, and the comforting embrace of Liora.
He thought of Sylvia’s unwavering pride, the respect he earned from Zara, and the sweet love that Vyra offered. With every woman who believed in him, every person he had aided, and every promise he had fulfilled, he drew strength.
He remembered what Zork had said at the end. "You are now the Demon King."
Rick’s clawed hand broke through the last barrier and touched the amber light’s spark.
Everything changed the moment Rick’s hand touched the amber light.
...
Rick opened both his eyes just to realize he was in a mental space, a small part of his mind that was still working even though his body was sick.
Zork was standing right in front of him. Not the corrupt, twisted monster, but the real Demon King in all his glory. He looked worn out and hurt, and he was barely holding his shape, but his eyes were clear and warm.
"You made it," Zork said, and his voice sounded strange in this mental space. "And I fucking knew you would."
"Zork!" Rick reached out to grab the Demon King’s hand. "I can get you out!"
"Together, we can get rid of the corruption!"
Zork shook his head in sadness. "No, boy."
"That is too late for me..."
"Ninety percent of my being has been taken over by the corruption."
"And only you... could separate us, but there wouldn’t be enough of me left to live."
"There has to be a way! I didn’t come this far to see you die!"
Zork said softly, "You came this far to be the king this realm needs."
"And you’ve shown yourself to be worthy a hundred times."
"That’s why I need you to do this."
The corruption fought back against Rick’s intrusion, and the mental space started to shake. Zork’s shape flickered, as if it were having trouble staying together.
"Listen closely, boy. We don’t have much time," Zork said in a hurry. "This corruption isn’t normal."
"Yes, we all knew the Archon is in charge of it, but it’s also linked to corruption all over the world."
"Every corrupted creature and every tainted land are all part of a network."
"A network?" Rick’s mind raced with the possibilities.
"The Archon crafted a corruption network that spanned continents and interconnected like a living entity."
"That’s why it spreads so quickly and works together so well."
"Everything is one." Zork’s shape changed again, becoming more see-through. "But that’s also why it’s weak."
"The complete destruction of one major node in the network sends a shockwave through the entire system."
"It won’t eliminate all corruption, but it will weaken it at every connection, giving you time to gather the rest of the major power."
Rick got it right away. "You’re a big node..."
"You are probably one of the network’s strongest power sources, the Demon King, who has been corrupted and made stronger."
"That’s right." Zork smiled, proud even as he was about to die. "If you use the power I gave you to completely destroy me, it will ruin the Archon’s plans."
"Valdris will be saved."
"Sylvia’s territories will have relief."
"The Elven forests will have a chance to recover."
"Every battlefield where corruption is pushing forward will suddenly find their enemies weakening."
"But... you’ll die."
Zork said softly, "I was already dead when the corruption bolt hit me."
"You’re just making my death mean something... to make sure that my last act as the Demon King saves the world I spent my life protecting..."
