LEVEL 0 IMMORTAL-Chapter 98: You Are Born To Kill
The cannibals closest to him sensed the movement first, their heads snapped up, and their black eyes widened in shock, but it was too late, Elias had already exploded into their ranks like a thunderclap.
Elias present attributes without unleashing his hel back advancement were,
- Strength: 87
- Agility: 104
- Durability: 119
- Perception: 142
- Will: 158
- Esoteric: 180
While his vitality and stamina were nearly in pristine condition,
Vitality: 2385 / 2385
Stamina: 609 / 613
With all of these attributes, he should be at least on the level of a Mist Phantom, and it was no wonder that, without the advantages of a Talent or the powers of a Mist Phantom Siphon, none of these cannibals had been able to deduct a single point from his vitality.
His charge was so unexpected that he met the cannibals at the center of the mound of bodies. Directly in front of him was a startled cannibal who swung a thick, blood-crusted club aimed for his skull.
The swing was wild, but due to the size of the club, it would easily hit a charging target like Elias, but due to the surprise charge, the blow was not done with enough speed, and so Elias easily ducked under it, and he felt the wind of the blow tear at his hair, then he rose inside the reach of the cannibal.
Being so close, he could smell the blood and gore in the man’s mouth, and Elias smashed his elbow upward into the surprised face and dislocated the jaw with a wet pop. The cannibal reeled back, not dead but stunned, and Elias grabbed him by the throat, lifted one-handed, and used the body as a shield against the attackers from behind who had thrown away their shock and were about to attack him in earnest.
Claws meant for Elias raked their own kin’s back instead as the cannibal screamed when his flesh was peeled back in long, ragged strips, and his ribs were exposed in glistening white.
It did not take long for the cannibal to stop screaming as he was nearly butchered into pieces in front of Elias, as both his legs fell from his torso, and his internal organs were thrown in the air.
Elias flung the corpse forward, crushing one attacker beneath its weight, then spun, claws extended, and raked across the second’s face, the cannibal’s eyes popped like overripe grapes, his nose flattened to pulp, and his mouth was torn open to the ears.
For a moment, the man seemed to be stunned by the severity of his injury, and then the pain came, and the cannibal screamed, a high, bubbling sound that cut off as Elias silenced him with a downward stomp.
With the weight of the swarm inside him, and the force from his attack, his heel drove through the screaming man’s skull, and he had brain matter squirting between his toes in warm, sticky ropes.
However, he had no more defenses against the horde of cannibals in front of him, and in their eyes, Elias could see endless promise of pain and slaughter, and so he answered the call of the impatient swarm who had been stirring under his skin like a living storm.
Elias let them loose.
The swarm answered his unspoken command, as tiny purple motes spiraled from his palms into short, curved blades, with violet edges gleaming with gold flecks, and these blades were serrated. These weapons were one of the favorite of Kaelen’s favorites, and Elias had practiced with them with him as well as watched the man demonstrate several moves when he thought that Elias was not watching.
Elias spun them once, and their weight was perfect. He had only the time to mutter to himself, "Let us see how much I have learned,"
Then the slaughter began.
The nearest cannibal turned, too slow, mouth still full of meat from the cannibal that Elias had used as a shield, and Elias’s blade took his head in a single, sweeping arc. The body stood for a heartbeat, neck stump spurting, before toppling sideways.
There was a brief shock at the appearance of the blades, but Elias gave the horde of cannibals no chance to understand what had just happened as he slashed left, gutting one from hip to shoulder, and guts spilled in mid-air.
With his right blade, he thrust it through another’s chest, before he twisted it, shredding the heart to a pulp, and the body had not fallen before Elias made a wide sweeping kick that pushed back several of the cannibals who wanted to jump upon him, and as his leg descended, he crushed the skull of one of the unlucky ones.
He had pushed himself into the center of the horde, and he was being circled by the cannibal, but that had been a deliberate decision by Elias since he wanted to be pushed to the limits in battle.
From behind him, one of the cannibals lunged low, jaws snapping for his thigh, hoping to kill his mobility so he could be easily swarmed, and Elias pivoted, blade descending, cleaving through the shoulder, and he could hear the bone crunching as the arm came free in a spray of dark blood.
The cannibal howled, staggering, and Elias kicked him square in the chest, and his ribs caved inward with a sickening crack. Still, there was so much force in that kick that his body flew back into the crowd and swept three other cannibals behind him into the ground. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Two more came from the sides, one with a crude bone blade swinging high, the other clawing low. Elias dropped under the blade and thrust his blade upward into the low attacker’s groin. Flesh parted with a wet rip; the cannibal screamed, high and piercing, as guts looped out.
Elias rolled aside as the blade wielder smashed the ground where he’d been, sending chunks of flesh and bone into the air from the mound of bodies they were fighting upon.
He came up behind the cannibal and swept his blade across his back, exposing the spine in glistening white. The man arched, roaring, and Elias let go of his blade for a moment as he grabbed the exposed spine, and he yanked.
The scream cut short as the vertebrae of the man tore free in a spray of marrow and blood. He used the ripped spine like a whip, lashing it across the face of another oncoming cannibal, shredding skin to ribbons, and had his eye popping free in a burst of fluid.
Releasing the shattered spine, Elias grabbed the blade that had not fallen for more than a few inches.

Commander Yseult had seen a lot of battle and carnage in her lifetime, more than most Siphon would ever see in their entire life. She had seen great warriors who made the battlefield their own, and could walk across a mountain of bodies, and she was something of a great warrior herself, but what she was witnessing here was... different.
She had watched Elias train with the members of the Order, and she knew that he had massive natural talents and a control of his body that was almost supernatural, and Brother Valerius had always said the boy would be a monster if he became a Siphon, and she had seen hints of that, but nothing she had thought about Elias before could prepare her for this.
Yseult had anticipated that he would flee and find another way to attack when he saw A Flesh Mauler, who were all at the Mist Phantom level, but he had attacked instead, and while his techniques still needed work, she had rarely seen anyone improve as fast as he was doing.
This test seemed to have to be revised, because this child seemed determined to surprise her, and she was becoming more interested in him. The price she had paid for his Lumina Art now no longer seems as heavy.
His physical abilities and his claws could easily suggest that he was an Ascendant Candidate following the path of Condemnation, which enhanced the body and gave them traits of powerful monsters, and yet his talent to materialize weapons and tools was a clear Ascendant trait. After this point, she would have to lecture him to always pick a single path when he was displaying his powers before others, else those with the right knowledge of history would be able to trace his background.
However, Yseult was not too interested in his Ascendant or Condemnation traits; there should be a unique trait that was born from the combination of these two powers, and she was interested to find out what it was.
