LEVEL 0 IMMORTAL-Chapter 71: The Growth In Talent
Although he was inside his Lumina space, Elias could feel the void close in around him, and he knew he should deliberate on this issue later. He had physically grown too strong in such a short time, and to avoid suspicion about his talents and the weird changes inside his Lumina Space, it was wise for him to use all of the Miracle/Condemnation Orbs at this time.
There were a hundred and sixty of these orbs floating above his Oceans of Lumina, and for him, with a hundred Pool of Lumina, it meant that he had filled all of his infinite pool, eight times.
How can something that was considered infinite be filled up? Well, Elias could not say he fully understood the reason; that would be a lie, but he could make a healthy guess with all the information available to him.
He had done this before, and so Elias did not hesitate about his next series of actions before he began spreading his consciousness to the floating orbs and pouring them into his Esoteric Attributes.
Elias had already made the decision that every single point he gained would be placed in this Attribute until something changed in the future, and he decided to focus on other Attributes, or his Talents began to grow this Attribute just as they did the others.
Mentally assigning all these points to Esoteric, Elias knew what was coming and watched in tense anticipation as all 160 of these orbs rose into the sky before they shot into the massive rumbling moon above.
However, an unexpected change occurred as the orbs crossed halfway towards the moon above. An unknown force seemed to appear around the orbs, and ten of them were snatched before the rest were all absorbed by the moon.
Elias watched with curiosity as the ten Miracle/Condemnation Orbs were sent spiralling downwards, and fell into the massive Pillar of Sorrow in the distance, and for a moment, the white pillar was painted in a shades of purple and gold before it returned to its previous state, but even from the distance, Elias could see that this pillar seemed to have grown a little, but he could not be sure of that growth due to the way space was distorted around the pillar.
This change caught Elias by surprise and hinted at the true utility of the Esoteric Talent. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
He had previously thought that this Attribute was solely responsible for upgrading his Talent, but it seemed to do more than this, as it was directly affecting the Fragment of Divinity that he had acquired.
Elias did not know about others, but he knew that one of the last attributes anyone would want to upgrade, at least at the lower levels were Esoteric, because in many ways, the body was the foundation of everything.
A Siphon with the ability to control the elements would have to beef up their Durability and Will at the start of their journey in order to even begin to understand how their talent worked. It was at the Fury Forge level or even the Mist Phantom level where they had a lot of points for each pool that they filled that they would begin to branch into Esoteric, but still, Elias believed that this Attribute was meant to be developed at the Mist Phantom level and not at the lowest stage that he was presently on.
With all of these points placed inside his Esoteric Attribute, he looked up above expecting a change in this massive representation of his Talent, and he was not disappointed.
From out of nowhere, a fierce wind rose up, covering his entire Lumina Space, which blew his Ageless Echo into weird shapes. It was a good thing that this portion of his consciousness was not made from real flame, or he would have been blown out.
The wind did not last for long before it subsided, and Elias looked up to see that the moon above was now a bit closer. Previously, it dominated a tenth of the sky, and he could barely see around its edges, but he thought it was a bit closer now. Still, the major changes he could see were that the cracks all around the moon had multiplied, growing deeper and wider, and the red glow from within it was now brighter, so much so that its light was beginning to compete with the glow of his Oceans of Lumina.
There was something about the light emerging from this breaking moon that made Elias excited, and this also worried him because he was learning that he had a weird approach to danger. He was not dense; Elias had seen the way his body reacted when he was fighting, and there was a chance he would be dying.
It seemed that he found the prospect of danger to be exciting, and this was something he had to watch out for. As much as Elias knew that not being afraid of danger was a valuable skill in this world, not knowing the right time to run, and also to know when to be afraid, was necessary.
He instinctively knew that the excitement he was feeling came from his body detecting something extremely dangerous about his talent, and as much as he had the ability not to fear these changes, he should also be wary.
The second time he entered this space, he already knew that his powers were also dangerous to him if he did not properly manage them, and he did not know why he had dismissed his Talent at that time when it should have been the first thing he should have been worried about.
Maybe there were more powerful Talents out in the world, but Elias did not know of any Talent that would be able to give a weak Wisp like him the capabilities to fight with powerful monsters multiple Stages above him, and such a Talent could not be underestimated.
Elias did not know why, at the moment he was looking at this moon, he thought of an egg that was slowly hatching. If Esoteric was responsible for the growth of talents, then it was highly possible that this moon was only the base representation of Extreme Adaptability, and there was something more beneath.
He only felt more excited by this thought. The last thing Elias wanted was to be weak, and he already knew that the price of power was costly, but it was one he was always ready to pay at any time.
With 180 points in his Esoteric Talent, Elias knew that he had not only grown to be a level 9 Wisp, but he should also be gaining a unique effect for having his Esoteric Attribute surpass a hundred points.
Watching the rumbling moon overhead, Elias felt that his Will was the dam holding back a tide of progress that wanted to sweep across his body and change it at the fundamental level, but Elias held back this change.
As it was now, he was already too strong for a Level 9 Wisp, and he would only be able to explain away this transformation by revealing he had a hundred pools of Lumina. If he allowed himself to go through another round of growth, then there would be no way to hide his talent.
He would allow himself to grow stronger, but not when there would be so many eyes scrutinizing him the moment he left this place.
