Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World-Chapter 1535 - 1532: Becoming an Ordinary Tribesman
As time passes, no matter the planet, time always moves forward incessantly.
Fifty years pass in the blink of an eye. For ordinary members of the Watson Tribe, fifty years may not be significant, but for the ordinary Slave Beasts, this day feels like a rebirth. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
In the Slave Beast Dormitory at the East Continent base, the Slave Beasts originally exchanged from the Alonso Tribe cheerfully pack their luggage and belongings.
Slave Beasts of the Watson Tribe are allowed to own personal belongings within certain limits.
Around them are gathered many Slave Beasts, whose gazes are filled with either envy or suspicion.
The envy stems from the tribe’s regulations: today marks fifty years for the first batch of Slave Beasts, allowing them to become ordinary tribe members. Their identity tags will transform from Slave Beasts to ordinary tribe members.
However, most of the Slave Beasts are skeptical of this rule; there were never such regulations in their previous tribes.
Yet, when these Slave Beasts finish packing and walk outside, the remaining Slave Beasts follow closely behind.
Is this... really true? Why not go to the tribe registration area and find out? It’s a life-changing matter, so it’s essential to see for oneself.
Thus, although fewer than a hundred Slave Beasts go to change their registration, by the time they arrive at the registration place, every Slave Beast of the tribe is there.
At the base’s entrance lies a not-so-large table, behind which sit two Orcs and there are two register books filled with dense scripts, the kind only ordinary tribe members can learn.
The Slave Beasts’ eyes turn red upon seeing those books, earnestly hoping that one day they too might learn.
"The first one, Shui."
An Orc behind the desk calls the name of the first Slave Beast, a little anxious, this Orc named Shui steps forward.
The Orc behind the desk is very gentle: "Please give me your name tag."
Shui wipes his sweaty name tag cautiously on his shirt before handing it over.
After taking the name tag, the Orc throws it into a bin beside him, then picks up a new, more refined tag from the desk and hands it to him: "This is your name tag now, congratulations, you’re an ordinary member of the tribe from now on."
Shui tremulously receives the tag he’s seen countless times hanging on ordinary tribe members, realizing he has shed the Slave Beast identity.
The Slave Beasts behind him are stunned too; Slave Beast and ordinary tribe member tags are different, and in the Watson Tribe, every member has their own tag. More importantly...
"Your name is on this tag, you will henceforth be called Zhang Shui. When you return, first learn to write your own name."
Saying this, he picks up a few sheets of paper and a pen from a box beside him and hands them to Shui.
Then, opening the book in front of him: "Zhang Shui, in the battle fifty years ago killed over fifty enemy beasts, collected precious herbs and handed them over..."
The thick book records every contribution Zhang Shui has made to the tribe, attracting the respectful gazes of the surrounding Slave Beasts toward him.
Zhang Shui feels a surge of excitement in his heart; it turns out every small contribution he made for the tribe has been recorded.
"Based on your numerous contributions to the tribe, you’re allocated a courtyard, five Giggle Beasts, five Gagabeasts, and some living supplies."
