Legendary Superstar-Chapter 146: Product Launch (4)
After their dinner, the atmosphere in the whole venue became lighter. People were now talking to each other as they tossed their glasses and walked around to enjoy the night.
The runaway show was also slowly coming to an end, with the last few models making their final walks.
Minjae, on the other hand, was sitting quietly at the table. He was sipping on his drink while watching the room. From his vision, he could see the flashes of cameras all around.
Not long after, a well-known fashion influencer approached their table. She was flashing a wide smile as she made her way toward the table where the executives of Lux & Co. sat.
"Hi, good evening, everyone." The girl lightly waved her hands at everyone before her eyes landed on Minjae.
She knew almost everyone at the table, so formalities weren't needed as much.
"Minjae, right?" she said brightly, looking at Minjae with interest in her eyes. "You were amazing up there. So natural. Honestly, it's hard to believe this is your first big show."
"Thank you, Ma'am. That really means a lot." Minjae stood up politely and smiled at her. He didn't know who she was, so he was really being mindful.
The influencer chuckled softly at Minjae's polite tone.
"Oh, no need to call me ma'am, I feel old already," she said as she waved her hands dismissively. "I'm Sumin, by the way. I do some fashion content, and I've worked with Lux & Co. a few times."
"Ah, I see," Minjae nodded, bowing his head slightly. "It's very nice to meet you, Sumin."
"You have a good presence, Minjae. The camera likes you, and people do too. That's rare." Sumin smiled warmly.
Just then, another one approached their table. It was a slim man in a black suit and round glasses. His steps were calm and quiet, but everyone at the table instantly noticed his arrival.
"Oh, that's right." Yoona stood slightly at the man, gesturing to him. "Minjae, you've met everyone but him."
Minjae turned around at Yoona's words. He didn't know the guy but he seemed like he was important because the others immediately stood up and greeted the man.
"This is Junghon," Yoona continued with a little extra warmth in her voice. "He is my brother. He used to work under the company, but he ventured to a different field now."
Minjae stood a little straighter as Junghon approached him. He bowed politely.
"It's nice to meet you, sir."
Junghon offered a small smile and returned the bow casually. "No need to be formal with me," he said, his voice calm but firm. "I've heard a lot about you tonight. You did well, Minjae. It's impressive to stand out on a night like this."
"Thank you, sir," Minjae replied with a small nod.
"I'm Junghon, by the way," the man added, slipping his hand into his pocket. "I heard you are an actor?"
"Yes, Sir." Minjae nodded once more. He was still polite. "I've been an extra for years. But now, I'm just waiting to debut formally."
"An actor? Huh… What a small world." Junghon raised his brows with interest.
"Why do you say that, sir?" Minjae tilted his head slightly.
Junghon let out a quiet chuckle, his tone was casual.
"Ever since I left Lux & Co., I've been working under a film studio. Yeah. I know right. I've switched fields completely."
"Really?" Minjae asked, now more curious. "May I know which studio?"
"Hwarang Studios. I'm one of the executives there now." Junghon looked at him with a faint smile.
Minjae blinked in surprise. A second of silence passed when realization hit him.
"Hwarang Studios?" he asked again if he heard it right. .
"Yup." Junghon nodded once.
Minjae tried not to let the surprise show too much,
"Oh I see. Well, that's… unexpected." Minjae gave a small and composed laugh
"You know us?" Junghon asked when he noticed the slight shift in Minjae's expression.
""I auditioned for a part at your studio recently," Minjae admitted. "It was for the main lead role for 'The Last Heir'"
Junghon's brows rose in surprise.
"The main lead for The Last Heir?" he repeated, blinking a few times. "You really went straight for the throne, huh?"
"Well… I figured I'd have nothing to lose and it was also a good cnace." Minjae chuckled sheepishly.
"You've got guts, I'll give you that." Junghon let out a low laugh, clearly amused.
The two of them laughed together for a moment, the conversation between them flowing naturally. Then, as their laughter settled, Junghon's expression shifted just slightly. Thoughtful.
"…Wait a second," he murmured. "A rookie who auditioned for the lead of The Last Heir…"
His gaze sharpened just a bit, searching Minjae's face. "You said you auditioned right? And did you pass"
Minjae nodded. "Yes, Sir."
"That's it." Junghon snapped his fingers as if he remembered something.
He looked at Minjae again, this time with renewed interest.
"I remember now. There's been talk around the office about a rookie. One of the casting team mentioned a young guy who came in and completely threw everyone off. They said he didn't look like much at first, but when he started, he completely shut the room up."
"…"
'There's a rumor like that?' Minjae's forehead creased as he heard about it.
"They were really amazed by it, so you must be good then."
"Oh well, thank you, Sir." Minjae let out a small breath.
"Well," Junghon continued, adjusting his glasses slightly. "I didn't know it was you, but now it makes sense."
He gave Minjae a nod of approval, his eyes was warm but discerning. "Good work."
"Thank you, sir," Minjae replied again with a low bow.
Junghon tapped his fingers lightly against his glass, then motioned toward the crowd behind them.
"Come on, Minjae. Let's not waste this moment. I'll introduce you to a few important people in this industry. Take this time to meet and familiarize with them."
'What the…" A playful smile crossed Minjae's lips when he heard about.

Who was he to miss such good chance?
"Sure, sir. I'd really appreciate that."
Maybe this was the chance for him to build his connections once again.
