Legendary FBI Detective-Chapter 114: CIA Agent
In the master bedroom, a neatly dressed middle-aged white woman with her mouth gagged, hands tied behind her back with a rope to a chair.
Bang!
The sound of the bedroom door being violently kicked open startled her, making her entire body tremble.
Already in a state of fear, she nearly burst into tears.
However, seeing the FBI insignia on Luo An, the woman paused, then began to frantically mumble and plead.
But Luo An, after a quick glance and seeing that she was not injured, didn't attend to her.
At this moment, the window to the left of the master bedroom was completely shattered. The instant Luo An burst into the room, he clearly saw a silhouette jumping out of the window.
He rushed towards the broken window and saw a crew-cut white man rolling on the grass outside the house, then immediately getting up and sprinting into the distance.
There were obstacles in the direction the man was running, preventing Luo An from shooting directly. Without hesitation, under the astonished gaze of the woman, he leaped out of the shattered window of the master bedroom, just like the crew-cut white man.
When the sound of breaking glass came from the second floor, Reesi, who was in the living room downstairs, also abruptly stood up.
She quickly grabbed Mr. Qiansi, instructing him to hide behind the sofa. Just as Reesi was about to rush upstairs, she saw someone jump into the yard.
Upon seeing this, Reesi decisively picked up her pistol and charged out of the living room.
Bang!
The moment Reesi ran out, Luo An's figure heavily landed beside her.
"Fu-k!"
Reesi got a big scare from Luo An, who had fallen from the sky, but Luo An wasted no words and directly said:
"You take left, I take right!"

Without waiting for Reesi's reaction, Luo An's silhouette dashed out like a sharp sword towards the direction the crew-cut white man had fled.
"Damn it!"
Seeing Luo An disappear in a blink of an eye, Reesi was shocked and after regaining her composure, she hurriedly ran in the other direction while cursing under her breath:
"Damn, I must ask Luo An what the hell he eats every day!
How can he run so fast despite carrying all that gear?"
On the other side, when the crew-cut white man saw Luo An fully armed yet getting closer and looking unfazed, he cursed in shock:
"Son of a beach! What's the deal with this FBI?"
In his plan, with Luo An so heavily equipped, ditching him should have been a breeze—just a couple of sharp turns at most, but not more than four.
But now, after seven sharp turns, not only had Luo An not fallen behind, he was getting even closer!
"Stop right there!"
Vaulting over a trash can that the crew-cut white man had knocked over, Luo An gauged the distance between them and, confirming there were no obstacles, raised his Glock 18 and bellowed:
"Stop running or I'll shoot!"
Luo An had no choice, as the man hadn't shot at him yet; if Luo An fired without warning, it would certainly pose procedural issues later on.
From America's legal standpoint, being shot in the back is not the same as being shot in the chest.
And the man wasn't black... cough cough.
Hearing Luo An saying he would shoot, the crew-cut white man was slightly startled but not overly panicked.
Because the accuracy of shooting while running wasn't exceptionally high, he didn't believe that this fit FBI agent's marksmanship was that precise—it would likely be just a few wild shots at most.
Moreover, there was a sharp turn up ahead; just one more step, and he could have the chance to shake off this damned FBI...
The next second, Luo An narrowed his eyes and decisively pulled the trigger.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three shots in total, one hitting the crew-cut white man's right back, the other two hitting his left and right calves.
Boom!
"Ahh—"
The crew-cut white man screamed in pain, collapsing forward onto the ground.
Feeling pain all over his body, the crew-cut white man cursed inside, but no insults came out of his mouth.
"Run, keep running then."
Luo An, holding a Glock 18, walked up to the crew-cut white man at a leisurely pace and said coldly:
"Why aren't you running anymore?"
The crew-cut white man didn't speak, just stared coldly at Luo An.
Luo An had some thoughts seeing this, then he curved his lips into a smile, put away his gun and took out handcuffs, preparing to cuff the man.
Just at that moment, the crew-cut white man suddenly leaped up in spite of the pain, his left hand reaching for Luo An's waistband where his pistol was, while his right hand shot toward Luo An's neck.
This was the moment the crew-cut white man had been waiting for. Being injured was all too common for him, but in the end, it was always he who emerged victorious.
The reason was simple: he was always able to turn the tables when others thought they had already won, and heavily slap his enemies' faces.
But just then, a sudden gust of strong wind hit, the crew-cut white man took a heavy blow to the face, his nasal bridge collapsed, and his body was slammed against the wall behind him.
Luo An punched the crew-cut white man, sending him flying with a straight punch, stepped forward, and then kicked him fiercely in the nose.
The nose is one of the most vulnerable parts of the human body, and a brutal hit can instantly distract someone.
Luo An's combo punches left the crew-cut white man completely dazed.
"Did you think I didn't notice your little trick?"
Seeing the man's incredulous expression, Luo An grinned and said:
"I never let my guard down with an enemy, even if they're shot and down on the ground."
Hearing Luo An's words, the crew-cut white man spat out a mouthful of blood, his face instantly turning the color of liver.
Damn it, what kind of people are in the FBI now?
After taking a few deep breaths, the crew-cut white man slowly composed himself, wiped the blood from his face, then looked up at Luo An and said coldly:
"I am..."
Bang!
The crew-cut white man had barely begun to speak when Luo An kicked him in the neck, knocking him out cold:
"I don't care who you are."
The attempts to strangle him and grab his gun just now weren't fake.
By the time Reesi finally arrived with her pistol, she found a bloodied crew-cut white man lying on the ground and Luo An on his phone making a call.
"Perfect timing."
Seeing Reesi, Luo An hung up the call, smiled at her, and waved:
"The ambulance is on its way. Take this guy to the hospital, and make sure to keep an eye on him. Augustus is calling me back for something."
Reesi, exhausted from running, stood there, mouth agape, and finally exhaled and nodded while pressing her forehead:
"OK."

Unit Five's investigation office area.
When Luo An returned here, he noted that Mona wasn't at her desk. He asked William, but he didn't know where she had gone either.
"Luo An!"
Just then, the conference room door suddenly opened, and Augustus gestured for him to come in quickly.
"Good afternoon, Chief."
With the question of where Mona had gone set aside for the moment, Luo An entered the conference room and saw Vireness was there as well, so he quickly greeted her.
"Um."
Vireness nodded her head expressionlessly, then after signaling for Luo An and Augustus to sit down, she pointed to a white-haired, suit-clad, elderly white woman sitting across the conference table and introduced her coldly:
"This is Lady Heloise from the CIA. The crew-cut white man who stole Ivande's laptop is one of her agents."
Hearing Vireness's words, Luo An was first stunned, then his expression started to become strange.
After a brief introduction of the situation, Vireness straightened her back and stared coldly at the elderly lady sitting opposite her:
"Lady Heloise, what exactly is going on with this case? Why is the CIA involved?
According to the regulations, the CIA is not permitted to be active within federal territory!"
