Legendary Architect of Apocalypse-Chapter 90: Bad Luck
"Is this the place?" A woman’s voice, laced with a hint of impatience, broke through the silence. She stood at the front of the group, as she scanned the seemingly ordinary landscape.
"According to the prophet, this should be the place," a man responded, his gaze fixed on a small handheld device. He adjusted a dial, as if verifying something.
"If we go any further, we would enter the Domain of another Overlord. We should stop right here," he suggested with a frown, seemingly hesitant about entering the Domain of a High-Tier Fable.
"If the location given by the Prophet is correct, then that human must be inside this domain. We can’t go back without them." The woman didn’t seem like she was in any mood to stop.
"But it’s the domain of someone we can never defeat. If something goes wrong, none of us will be able to return." The man couldn’t believe that he was seriously being told to enter someone’s domain without their permission.
Domains were only assigned to existences that were too dangerous to roam freely. If even the Dimensional Academy didn’t allow them to roam freely, then that was enough to let him know that it was a dangerous existence.
"Have you forgotten the person we represent? Our Lord is not a mere domain owner. He is the true master of the Land of Fables. Do you think a random domain owner is going to dare kill us?" The woman arrogantly entered the domain, feeling the laws of the universe shift.
"We just need to tell him the name of our Lord, and he will most probably welcome us with open arms," she added, gesturing for the others to follow her inside. "And if you’re still scared, you can return on your own."
The group looked at each other. They were all mid-tier fables, but none of them dared to look down on a high-tier fable, knowing the kind of nightmare they could be. Still, they couldn’t just leave now, as another high-tier fable was waiting for them back home.
They entered the domain as well, albeit unwillingly.
"If that human is here, shouldn’t he be dead already?" One of the men asked, as his tail wagged behind his back in his nervousness.
"If he is dead, then we still need to verify it. We need to retrieve his corpse at least," the woman answered. "Now stop asking unnecessary questions!"
The rest of the group went silent, and none made any noise. Even if all of them were mid tier-fables, their strength and influence was different from each other.
Amongst them, the woman leading them was the strongest. They could only take her down if all of them worked together. The woman was also closer to the higher ups back home, so they had no choice but to listen to her.
The group moved towards the center of the domain, tracing the densest energy within this domain, trying to get to the owner of this domain to ask him about the human.
Only ten minutes had passed, before the woman raised her hand, gesturing for the others to stop. Her heightened senses picked up the sound of footsteps.
She signalled the others, before she jumped high up, landing on a tree branch. The others also did the same, and hid themselves on tree branches, spreading out in the area as the footsteps came closer.
Soon, they caught sight of the person, who was responsible for these footsteps. What left them surprised was that it wasn’t a Fable. Instead, it was a human.
He wasn’t wearing the attire of the Dimensional Academy, and looked a little older than the students that generally entered, but there was no doubt about his species.
The boy was holding a map in his hand, and trying to make sense of his surroundings as he approached the place, unable to sense anything strange in his surroundings.
Occasionally, he could even be heard talking to himself, as there was no one else next to him.
"He must be the one." Even though the woman had never seen the person that they were after, she was certain that they had found the target.
They were looking for a person that their high lord wanted. There was no way that person was going to be something ordinary. The boy before them, also felt extraordinary as he had the aura of a fable around him, despite being a human.
He was also able to leave through the domain of a high fable, without so much as a scratch. His clothes didn’t have a single speck of dust either.
She couldn’t think of anyone else being able to achieve it, other than her target, especially since the location that they had received from the prophet was the same.
She looked at the others, and gave a signal, telling them that it was their target. The others nodded after receiving the signal. Some of them even felt relieved that they found their target without having to come across the owner of this domain.
They prepared themselves to intercept the human. The woman was the first to jump down, landing in front of Elias. The others also jumped down, circling Elias to leave no space for him to even escape.
"You know, I think I was a little hasty. I take back my words. You might be the unluckiest person that I have ever seen," Astralious spoke before Elias could even open his lips. "You leave one mess, and end up in another mess."
"How did you offend them now?" he asked Elias.
Even Elias didn’t know the answer to these questions. He didn’t even see them before. There was no way he could have offended them. But they clearly looked like they were after him.
"Can I help you?" Elias asked, observing his surroundings. There were a total of twenty mid-tier fables, which was quite a high number for a single person.
"If you want to blame anyone, blame your family!" The woman told Elias.

"Of… Freaking… Course," Elias rubbed the back of his neck.
