Chapter 156: Signs Of Trouble

Back at the headquarters, the association was having a hard time trying to put their mind through something that seemed to have popped up, peculiarly getting their attention.

Victor, Keith, and Liu had been called to the central quarters; they were being summoned there to make sure that they would be able to get things done about the occurrences that had been happening around the country.

"I wonder why they decided to call Creston. They never call us unless there is something huge for them to tell us."

Liu was not in the mood for the Association’s rants; he knew it meant that something was going to happen and Victor would be forced to answer some questions that no one would have thought he would have the answers to.

Keith sighed, he was also not happy to hear that the association summoned them like that. It was a clear sign that something happened and they were going to be dragged into it.

Victor was smiling, trying to keep it cool with the other two. He was often seen as a man who would play with all the situations they had on them, but he wasn’t playing with this one, and he was trying to make sure he would get to the main reason why they were calling them there.

"You know, all this worrying won’t make the call fade away." He spoke up, and his two colleagues went silent, looking at him.

"There is nothing to worry about, we would get to the bottom of things and they would have to give us a chance to get anything we want." He smiled as he kept walking to the main association building.

Keith and Liu knew if he said that they shouldn’t worry about a thing, then they were not meant to worry about it anymore. They had to get themselves ready for whatever they were being called for and they also knew that there was no way anything would be going out of hand.

"I wonder how Darius and the others are holding up." Liu thought to himself, his mind racing through something. It was not even clear if they were okay or not.

They had been inside the dungeon for a long time, and it was beginning to make them worry in a way.

"We have bigger things to worry about other than them so I would want you to get your head in the game."

Keith was looking straight, his mind was trying to get together what was going to happen once they had entered the office, and Victor was walking close to them with a smile on his face.

Suddenly Victor slowed down, he was looking around feeling something a bit odd.

Liu and Keith turned to look at him, and they could see the strange look on his face.

"Chairman sir?" Liu was looking at him, he could see the look on his face and the way he was trying to get his head out of the clouds.

"Is everything okay sir?"

Victor turned to them, he nodded smiling trying to make sure that he wouldnt let anything bother them.

"Now, why don’t both of you head on now? I will be right behind you." He smiled, trying to see if they would head on.

Keith and Liu looked at each other, they didnt know what was going on but they knew Victor was never the type of man to act out of the blue.

They turned and walked away, trying to get to the association and what they wanted to let them know.

Victor stood there looking at them as they walked away and he was not in the mood for rubbish.

"Sylus, why must you always show up when one wouldn’t want to see you?"

He muttered as he turned to see the mage hanging right above them, dressed in his ragged cloak with his beautiful golden eyes staring down at Victor.

"I came with a warning this time, Erion."

Sylus hovered down, his hands behind his back as he stood there looking at Victor.

"I know you hate the name; it gives me more reason to use it and make sure that I make your life unbearable."

"Get on with it, you dumb mage, I don’t know what brought you here, but I am sure you wouldn’t bring your ugly behind here to taunt me."

Victor was trying to make sure he wouldn’t get anything undone before he would head in for the meeting.

"So tell me why are you—"

He paused, he could feel something out of the blue it was all over the place and there was no way he could deny it.

"What is that?" Victor turned to Sylus, he was looking at the mage trying to see if he would get an answer. "What of Cerion and Callous, this isn’t the time for something like this to happen how—"

"The Divine let few of the greater beings in and they are not going to stop until they find the child of chaos and end him." Sylus sounded distraught, he was not in any mood for what was going on.

"Have they lost it?" Victor turned to look at him, his worry was not the fact that there was a chance that they were not going to be able to stop what was about to come.

"I hope they know tat this is giving him a chance to tap into more of his power?"

"Even if you throw it to them like that, it won’t make any sense, would it?" Sylus was looking far into the distance trying to see if something would catch his eyes. Birds could be seen circling the place he waved his hand.

"This is going to be the beginning of a dark age, and this is going to be the way any of the other Verions would have envisioned it."

Sylus brought his hand down, and he turned back to Victor with a worried look on his face.

"Erion, this world is going to be a battlefield, we have to speak to the child of chaos soon and let him know what he is dealing with."

Victor was not saying anything but if it was true that they were already making moves then there was a need for them to do something about it.

"If it is what must be done then I will look for a way to make it happen."

He turned to see that Sylus had vanished, he let out a sigh before turning back and heading for the association.

He had been standing there, with the help of an illusion it was like he was answering an important call.

Victor needed to get his head clear so he would be able to deal with other things.

Back at the dungeon, Darius was still in the pitch-black plane fighting Vertu. Each step he took would make him exhausted as he looked at the monster in front of him.

"I am not sure what you think you would get from running!" Vertu roared as he fired pressure bullets from his claw.

He had taken Aya’s guardian form, making him a problem that wouldn’t go away that easily. He had all her powers thanks to her body.

Darius was looking at Vertu, he knew they weren’t in a normal plane of reality and it was not something anyone would conjure normally.

"I need to make sure that there is a—"

Before Darius could finish talking, a tentacle smacked him across the face. The blow sent him back crashing into the walls of the plane stood in.

"Ow," Darius stood up, his legs were shaking as he tried to put his head back in the game looking at the whole thing happening.

"I can’t take this," He looked down at his blade and he could see that his vision was going blurry as he tried to keep himself conscious.

"What is wrong, child of Chaos?!" Vertu taunted, looking at Darius struggle to keep up with his attacks.

Our young warrior smiled looking at the beast in front of him, he wouldn’t do anything but attack with all his might and make sure that there was nothing going to take him down.

"I think you should worry about yourself," He said as he took a stance looking at the beast in front of him, struggling to keep the blade in his hand.

Vertu burst into laughter, and more tentacles came out of his back looking at the man in front of him it was about to be a battle that one couldn’t win normally.

"You have one fiery spirit," Vertu complimented Darius, but he pulled his weapons out. "But that won’t save you!"

A shadow ball could be seen taking form in front of Vertu, twirling around as it was creating something that looked like a vacuum ready to kill Darius.

"I hope you are ready child of chaos!" The monster yelled as he was looking at Darius.

Darius used his blades to form a cross shield, he would do his best to hold the attack back.

"Show me what you got ugly.."
