Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 134: The Uncanny Reveal
It was quiet, at the top hill in Creston. Close to the Warriors Association Headquarters, the part where the Chairman always resided for his breaks.
Victor Hordes was going through the files of the new warriors trying to see if he would find something that would keep him occupied in the meantime.
He was smiling as he went through the files, a smile on his face.
"I don’t know what to say but the Broken Blades Guild is a family I would want to pay much attention to. They might be rookies but they have something that makes them different from the others that—"
Victor paused, smiling he looked around the room noticing that he wasn’t anywhere in his office anymore.
He was in a different place but still at the office.
"You think I am some mortal being you can pull this off on?" He smiled turning to the cloaked being standing on the other end of the dimension.
"I knew from the moment you set foot into this place and I could smell the awful stench on your cloak...Sylus Wrenthced Divine Mage.."
The cloaked being took off the mask on his face looking at Victor with a smile, he wasn’t sure what he was going to say.
"I must say, you still have that sharp sense of yours and it is something that no one can match till now..."
Sylus moved forward, he walked to the table where Victor was seated.
"When I heard that you disappeared from the Divine Realm, I thought it was only a joke but then you were reborn as a mortal being keeping all your divine powers intact, I didn’t know what I was going to call it but then...."
Sylus had a smile on his face, moving to Victor who seemed calm and unfazed in front of the divine being.
"You were the second being I knew that looked into Slav’s scrolls gaining almost all his knowledge that was how you can pass through some factors that should have kept you grounded, you amongst one of the many few who were able to bypass the Fates and get to where you are today..."
Sylus smiled uncontrollably, and he slammed his hand on the table. "Isn’t that right, Eorin, second disciple in the Chronomatic Order?!"
Victor had a smirk on his face, he didn’t look up once still going through the files.
"I never liked that name, I think Victor suits me more." He smiled.
"I see you got my message, I didn’t know it would get through to you.."
Victor was looking at Sylus, he didn’t want to waste much time there so they would have to discuss why he sent for him.
Sylus let out a sigh, he didn’t even want to be there at the moment but then he was not trying to be there for long but then...
"Why did you call me here?" He asked Victor looking him in the eye, trying to see what was going to come from him calling him to the mortal realm.
Victor placed his hand on his chin looking at Sylus, he didn’t even want to make things hard. "I wanted to make sure that I would ask you for one of the favors you owe me from 5000 years ago."
"Huh?!!" Sylus seemed surprised to hear that he wanted a favor like that and it wasn’t even all of them.
"You still remember that favor, it’s been 5000 years and what in the world do you want me to help you with?"
Victor was still looking at the files on his table, his mind going through everything happening.
"I spoke with Cerion and Callous, those two don’t want anything to mess with the order of things in a way they are going to let The remaining children of the Abyss come through in 118 hours from now."
Victor got up from his seat, moving to the other part of the dimension. He stood there, looking outside.
"I want you to extend the time on those gates, and give Darius enough time to pass the Trial of water."
"Huh?! Sylus was shocked, he didn’t even know what to expect from Victor at that time but for him to request that the gates would be something that he never would have expected.
"Then why don’t you do it yourself?" Sylus tilted his his head, looking at Victor he was filled with rage and anger. "You think that this is something you can just throw on me and there would be no—"
"I am asking because you are the only one aside from me that can do it," Victor cut him off, his eyes were a bit hollow as he began trying to explain what was going on and why he didn’t want to do it himself.
"If I do it myself then the gods of Order will come for me, and you know I want to stay undercover for now."
Victor did not want anything to do with all that was going on to bring him close to the gods of Order in any way.
"I only temporarily served their rule on my body by using the rebirth process. I didn’t want anything that would put me in the same space as them, they might be seen as the gods of Order but we both know that most of them can’t see the flaws in their thinking."
Stylus was looking at Victor, he knew what was going on in his head and that there was something else pushing him to make the decision.
"Tell me Erion, what in the name of the divine did you see? What did you learn that made you want to help this mortal so badly?" Sylus stared at Victor, he wanted to know what was pushing him all the time.
Victor had a smile on his face, slowly he turned to look at Sylus.
"Remember during the middle of the first war caused by Lord Ashran and his chaotic legion, we read something in Master Slav’s book. Something that even the gods wanted to hide from us, it was something that defined the new age and why Lord Ashran let himself get beaten and his powers sealed."
Sylus’ eyes widened when he heard what Victor was trying to say.
"It can’t be...how on earth did I forget about that simple detail?!" Sylus had a crooked smile on his face. "But how on earth did you find out? I have been looking for him ever since and there was no sign of him."
Victor chuckled, rubbing his forehead he tilted his head.
"Because the prophecy was twisted, Slav and Edo made sure that there would be no way for anyone to decipher it immediately but I did."
He walked back to the table, sitting down he was looking at Sylus.
"This is why, I urge you in the name of the New Age of Chaos. I want you to make sure that there is enough time for him to complete the second Trial, with that Theo Sung would also be one step closer to unlocking the latent power sleeping within him."
Sylus still smiling like a madman, couldn’t believe what was happening in front of him.
"I don’t know why I found out this late, this makes the score now a hundred to five!" In pure bliss of what he had just learned, unable to control himself.
Sylus fell to the floor, laughing uncontrollably. "It all makes sense now why Master Slav chose to let the mortal kill him and take his core! I knew that there was no way for him to lose a fight like that when he was just using 9% of his true power."
Victor smiling kept his eyes on Sylus, he knew that the mage couldn’t control himself.
"Don’t leak your mana here, I can’t risk the association marking here as an Uncharted dungeon site and making me move to another place."
Sylus got up from the floor, the smile still on his face. He didn’t even want to keep pushing things that far but he knew that for sure there was something about to happen.
"Don’t worry Erion, I will help you out and I will make sure that Urus will not come through immediately. But I can’t promise to hold all of them in, one of the remaining three will slip in and there is going to be more trouble for them."
Victor nodded, he knew that there was no 100% chance of him sealing away all the children of chaos.
"I know that the weakest in the three will slip through, that guild needs the push to unlock their powers. So if they battle with the likes of beings that aren’t their everyday monsters then there’s a chance that they will get stronger and nothing will be able to stop them."
Sylus stood properly, opening a spatial door. "Tell me Erion, what lies ahead of us now?"
Victor smiled looking at Sylus, tilting his head. He then yelled. "Nothing but absolute chaos!"
