Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 124: Signs Of A New Era
The four warriors went to the lobby to turn in the Orc cores Theo had picked up from Imor and Saltor.
"I can’t believe that they made us leave that man alone, Captain!" Michael was looking at Theo; he could see that they were not yet happy that Nathan wasn’t getting the punishment he deserved.
Theo turned to Michael with a huge smile on his face; he didn’t want anything to cause an issue for him or his members.
"Leave him; fate will catch up to him."
The four got to the lobby, and they handed the cores to the officials there.
Darius hadn’t said anything for a while, and it was strange how he didn’t want to speak or even do anything out of the ordinary for a while, and he was still quiet.
Raya was looking at him; she could see that he was not happy about the judgment from the Association and how Nathan was covered. It was going to be the only thing that would make him happy at the moment if he were to take matters into his hands and deal with Nathan.
"So, where do you hold meetings?" Raya was looking at Darius and Theo.
"We use Darius’s house for now, until we find a good spot for the office, then we will keep using it." Theo answered.
It was time for them to head to their different homes; they were at the stop.
Theo looked at the two; he didn’t know what he was going to say to them, but looking at them, he saw that they were not like they would have seen them before.
"We were strangers a couple of hours ago, but now we are comrades, and I would want you to know that we are family now. If you ever need anything, then we will be there for you."
Theo was looking at the two, and he had a smile on his face.
Michael and Raya were happy; they turned to look at Darius. He was still quiet.
Letting out a sigh, he looked at them.
"You’ll be okay now. I would love to see us working together again." He smiled.
The two warriors bowed their heads before taking their leave; Darius and Theo stood there watching them as they left the scene.
"Can I sleep at your place?" Theo blurted out, breaking the silence. It was odd, and as expected from Darius, he turned his head to look at Theo.
"Huh?" He had a brow raised; he didn’t know what would make Theo ask him something like that.
"I want to sleep at your house. I can’t sleep in a hotel today..." Theo had a drained look on his face.
"Why in the world are you sleeping in a hotel?" Darius asked one of the obvious questions he could think of.
Theo looked drained; he was looking at Darius, and he could see that there was something that needed to be aired there and then. "My family, they are the absolute worst. They are also part of the reason I wanted to form my own guild."
Darius was looking at Theo, and he could see that there was something going on that he didn’t know much about.
"You see, Darius, my family belongs at the higher part of Creston. They have their own guilds and clans, but I would rather suffer to make mine than get it handed to me through ways that I would never want to follow."
Darius was shocked to hear what he had to say; it was not clear why he would put it that way.
"So you don’t want anything to do with them?" Darius tilted his head, looking at Theo, who had a pouting face.
"No, they are the worst." Theo muttered; he was looking down, trying to get his head clear for the moment.
Darius had forgotten that he was not in a good mood in any way and let out a slight chuckle. He didn’t know what he was looking at, but he could see that Theo was going to be part of his life no matter how he would try to look at it.
"You can stay as long as you want." Darius smiled; he turned and began walking to the house.
Theo looked up, watching as our white-haired warrior was walking down the street, and his hair blew calmly.
A smile on his face, his heart filled to the brim with joy. "I will not let you get angry!"
"Yeah, the only way for you to do this is to make sure you avoid anything that would take you to my food."
Darius turned to Theo. "Speaking of food, you owe chicken breasts and burgers."
Theo was shocked when he heard what Darius said. "Eii, that can’t be."
"We made a deal, you know." Darius was looking at the brown-haired warrior; he smiled, turning his gaze to the road.
"Just get me my chicken breasts so I won’t kill you."
"You would never do that."
Both of them laughed as they walked down the road; it was quiet and peaceful.
Above them, two figures could be seen hovering, watching the two warriors.
Cerion and Callous...
"So, they managed to find each other even when they couldn’t last forever in their former life." Cerion had a smile on his face; he was looking at the warriors.
Callous hung upside down; for some reason, their mana was calm at the moment. It didn’t cause any distortion around them, and it was like they were in control.
"Friendships transcend lifetimes; they all found themselves." Callous blurted out, looking up at the stars.
Cerion turned to his brother; he knew that there was something he had seen.
"So, what are you trying to say here?" He didn’t know what he was trying to point out.
Callous sat properly, his legs crossed as he pointed to the sky.
"You will see, the main reason he was the one Ashran chose. There has to be a connection to the way he talks and acts with other people."
A grin appeared on Cerion’s face; he lay down on thin air as he floated around.
"You know there is no way for anyone to tell me that this isn’t going to be one fun age of chaos— the pieces have to come together, and then we can see the main fun slowly unfold itself."
"Pfft, same old thing." Callous scoffed, looking down on the people.
"But it would be nice to see what the powers of chaos would do in the hands of a human."

Chairman Victor had called Liu and Keith for a meeting; it was mainly about Nathan and what he had done.
As envisioned, it was not going the way anyone would expect it to go. Liu and Keith were looking at Victor, trying to see if they would get him to do something about the man who had killed his own guild members and tried to kill officials.
"The laws were already here before I became the chairman. I know you think that there is something I would be able to do to stop him, but he is now under his family crest, and the only thing that is going to get those people justice is if he dies in action. Or a powerful mythic warrior goes for him."
Victor’s words made Keith and Liu get a bit frustrated; it was not what they would have expected, but they would need to make sure that they didn’t do anything that would counter the law.
"So you are saying that we are going to let him roam free even after wehn we know the sort of man he is?" Liu spoke up, he wasnt letting the thought weigh him down.
"I know what you mean; it is not what anyone would have imagined." Keith sounded a bit disappointed.
"We already knew that he was part of something that diabolic, but then we chose to ignore that there would be peace, and now look at what it is giving us."
Keith was tired; having to deal with the likes of warriors like Nathan was frustrating, and it was not clear why he would be doing things that crazy.
Victor saw that both of his men were still frustrated; he knew what it meant and that there was no way for them to get things done easily without the thought going through their brains.
"I would love it if you didn’t think about it that much and focused on the rookies." Victor smiled; he was trying to see if they would forget about Nathan.
"I heard from the transponders that Michael Krigg and Raya Tegeshi have joined the Broken Blades Guild."
Liu looked up with a smile on his face; it was almost like he was proud hearing it.
"They got those two to join a guild!" He was ecstatic; he didn’t know how to contain his joy.
Victor nodded; it was not the best of news, but it was something to make them smile.
"I am convinced that Darius Winters and Theo Sung are the future of the Warrior Association, not just here in Creston, but the world."
