Leave Me Alone, Big Brothers! [BL]-Chapter 137: Try Good Things
It was almost midnight when they finally arrived at the mansion. Malvin and Leo had already retired to their rooms after saying good night. They looked exhausted.
The party had actually ended at 7 p.m., but some of them continued partying until they were drunk and passed out one by one. Leo had wanted to leave from the start, but he tried to stay for Roger’s sake.
As soon as the two of them climbed the stairs, Roger pulled Lucas, who was already half drunk, to come with him to continue drinking. Lucas just followed.
"For the birthday boy! Let’s go!" exclaimed Lucas, walking toward the family room.
Roger headed to the kitchen to ask the staff who were still there to bring food, and he grabbed several bottles of drinks from the alcohol rack.
On his way back, he spotted Nathan and Nael near the oversized refrigerator, clutching glasses of water. Roger’s eyes lit up with a mischievous, drunken glint. "Hey, boys! Come with me!"
Nathan looked uninterested, he just wanted to sleep. But Roger pulled him along. Meanwhile, Nael looked excited. He was already moving toward the family room, a spark of excitement in his gaze. Nathan just sighed.
Roger sat back down, reaching for a crystal decanter. He poured liquid from different bottles into two glasses and pushed them toward the twins.
Nathan and Nael looked enthusiastic.
"Try it," Roger whispered with a wink. "Don’t tell Alex, okay?"
Nael reached out eagerly, picking up the cocktail glass. The scent was pungent, sharp enough to make his eyes water, but when he took a sip, it was surprisingly sweet.
"Good, right?" Roger chuckled, watching Nael’s reaction. "I mixed some vodka with some of the good stuff in there. Don’t drink too much, though, you have school tomorrow." He spoke as if he were giving responsible advice, completely unaware that he was leading them both into a dark valley.
Lucas shook his head, staring into his own glass. "Don’t involve me if Alex finds out. I don’t want to get in trouble."
"Don’t worry," Roger laughed, waving a hand dismissively. "He acts so strict, like he was born a saint. I’m sure he started drinking by the time he was twelve."
Nathan took his glass from Roger’s hand. He sniffed the sweet, cloying aroma before taking a cautious sip. It tasted like candy at first, but then his throat felt like it was being scorched by a slow-moving fire.
Suddenly, Roger reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, clear plastic bag. The twins froze, their curiosity piqued as they watched him take out tiny, nondescript pills.
"This is a good one," Roger said, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial low. "It’ll make you fly. Just a little. It feels good." He handed one to Nathan and one to Nael.
Lucas’s expression shifted to one of genuine concern. "Roger, that’s too much. If the school does an inspection, they’re dead."
"No way," Roger countered. "They’re seniors. No one inspects the seniors, the administration will be too busy worrying about their final exams."
He turned back to the twins, explaining how to use them. "Usually I crush it, but for you, just suck on it."
Nathan stared at the small pill. He didn’t think he needed it, but the curiosity was a physical itch. "Just suck on it, right?"
Roger nodded. "Again, never tell Alex or even mention this, okay? He will literally kill me."
Nael looked down at the pill in his hand, his excitement replaced by a sudden, cold fear. He knew exactly what this was. Nathan, however, was already moving. He touched the pill with his tongue. It didn’t taste good, but he didn’t stop.
"What is that about ’not telling Alex’?"
The voice came from the doorway, calm and steady, yet it hit the room like a physical blow. The atmosphere shattered.
Alexander. The man had come out of his room.
They should have been happy, but not now. They immediately became nervous.
Roger quickly shoved the plastic bag back into his pocket, his face shocked.
Alexander walked into the room. His steps were quiet, but to them, they sounded like the steady approach of a big, dangerous wolf.
He looked better than he had in days, refreshed, sharp, but his presence was more terrifying than ever.
Lucas went completely still, his glass frozen halfway to his lips.
"Well, nothing," Roger said, forcing a grin that didn’t reach his eyes. "Just... drinking a bit."
Alexander’s gaze swept over his younger brothers. When his eyes landed on the cocktail glasses in front of the twins, his expression darkened into something furious.
But it was Nael’s frantic movement that caught his attention. The boy was trying to hide his hands.
"What is that in your hand?" Alexander asked, his voice dropping an octave.
Nael shook his head, his face white. He sat on the pill, hiding it under himself, and held out his empty palms. "N-nothing."
Nael was a terrible liar, and everyone in the room knew it.
"Show me," Alexander threatened, his voice a low, vibrating growl. "If I find out you’re lying to me, Nael, you won’t like what happens next."
Nael shivered, looking at Roger for help that wasn’t coming. Finally, he reached under himself and pulled out the pill. "I, I didn’t try it yet! I swear!" He looked at Roger, his eyes filling with tears. "I’m sorry..."
Roger rubbed his temples, bracing for the impact. Nathan, however, was paralyzed. He had already put the pill in his mouth. His heart was hammering against his ribs so hard it felt like it might burst.
"I can’t believe you tried to give them this kind of shit, Roger!" Alexander’s voice finally boomed, echoing off the walls.
"It won’t kill them. Don’t worry," Roger muttered, though he looked like he wanted to vanish.
Alexander snatched the pill from Nael’s hand, his eyes then snapping to Nathan. "Where is yours?"
Nathan shook his head quickly, his lips pressed tight.
"Where. Is. Yours?" Alexander stepped closer, the pressure in the room becoming suffocating.
Nathan looked at Roger, then at Lucas, who was staring at the floor. He looked back at Alexander and shook his head again.
"Your hands!" Alexander barked.
Nathan held out both hands. Empty.
Alexander’s eyes filled with sudden, sharp alarm. "Don’t you dare swallow it!"
Nathan swallowed hard, the chemical taste of the dissolving pill coating the back of his throat. He felt a wave of heat wash over him.
Alexander knew. He didn’t wait for an explanation. "Take it out, Nathan."
Nathan stayed silent, betting that Alexander wouldn’t actually hurt him over a single pill. He was wrong.
Before Nathan could even blink, Alexander was in his space. A large, powerful hand gripped Nathan’s jaw, forcing his mouth open with irresistible strength. Before he could even let out a muffled protest, Alexander’s fingers were inside, sweeping across his tongue.
Alexander pulled his hand back, his fingers wet with saliva, holding the half-dissolved, crushed remains of the pill.
Nathan sat there, his mouth still slightly agape, staring at his brother’s hand in shock. Alexander’s eyes bore into him with a fury that made the "flying" sensation of the drug vanish instantly.
Alexander stared at the crushed, wet remains of the pill on his fingertips with a look of pure disgust, as if he were holding the carcass of an animal. Without taking his eyes off Nathan, he reached for a silk napkin from the table and wiped his fingers with slow, deliberate movements.
The room was so quiet that the rustle of the silk sounded like sandpaper.
"You will never taste that shit under my supervision. If you try it again, even if anyone forces you, I will make sure you regret it. You don’t need drugs, what the fuck are you thinking?!" Alexander snapped angrily.
Nathan and Nael looked at each other. Nael swallowed repeatedly.
Nathan felt his body tremble slightly at the sound of Alexander’s angry voice, even though it meant the man was back.
"Go to your rooms. Now." Alexander’s voice was low, barely above a whisper, yet it carried an authority that brooked no argument.
Nael didn’t wait for a second command. He scrambled to his feet, tears already streaking his face, and bolted toward the stairs without daring to look back.
Nathan remained frozen. His head was starting to feel heavy, the bittersweet chemical aftertaste of the pill lingered at the back of his throat, and his pulse was racing faster than usual. He tried to stand, but his legs felt leaden and unreliable.
Alexander caught his body before it hit the floor.
"Lucas," Alexander called without turning around. "Take Nathan to his room. Make sure he drinks as much water as possible. If he starts to vomit or has trouble breathing, call me. Do not leave him alone."
Lucas nodded quickly, his face grim. He hooked an arm under Nathan’s shoulder, hoisting him up. Nathan wanted to protest, to say he was fine, but the look in Alexander’s eyes as their gazes met swallowed his words whole. He allowed Lucas to lead him out of the room.
Now, only Alexander and Roger remained.
Alexander walked slowly to the bar, poured a glass of plain water, and downed it in one go. Roger remained slumped on the sofa, his hands shaking as he tried to shove the small plastic bag back into his pocket.
"Take it out," Alexander commanded.
Roger let out a defeated sigh and dropped the bag onto the crystal table. "Alex, come on. It’s just a little fun. They’re graduating soon, they need to loosen up—"
Alexander slammed his glass onto the table, making the glassware rattle violently. He leaned over, his face inches from Roger’s.
"Loosen up? You’re giving your brothers drugs? And you’re making them drink vodka?"
Roger sighed. "Well, anyway, I’m happy Huan is back." He tried to change the subject. "I won’t do it again. They’re so cute, I just wanted them to try it."
Alexander sighed. It was useless to advise Roger because the man always did whatever he wanted.
"Don’t do that again. Help me take care of them, please," Alexander said with a sigh, making Roger feel guilty.
"Sorry. Trust me, I won’t do it again."
Alexander picked up the bottle of alcohol on the table. "I won’t discuss it since today is your birthday." Then he walked out of there.
"By the way, I’m going to fire Huan. Start working with me," Alexander said suddenly.
