Leave Me Alone, Big Brothers! [BL]-Chapter 130: A Ruined Plan
Antonio remained silent for a long moment, the ticking of the old clock the only sound in the room. Finally, he looked away, staring out at the garden covered in snow.
"You’ve always had too much imagination. Go see your husband. Dante needs your ’intuition’ more than I do."
Natasha stared intently at the old man, as if ignoring his words. "If you can’t take care of my sons, you should let me and Dante take them out of the country. You insist on keeping them with you, but only to use them as your business tools. I can’t protect them from you, I just ask you not to cause them suffer."
Antonio chuckled, grabbed his cigar, and lit it. "Suffer? A witch like you, wanting to raise a child. The only thing you and that stupid man care about is having fun. What do you know about responsibility?"
Natasha seemed accustomed to hearing the man’s words, so she didn’t react at all. She only smirked slightly. "Don’t forget, they were born from my womb. Besides, you know that I am a descendant of witches, the people who cursed your family. You should treat me better."
"Hah! You still believe that nonsense?"
"Maybe you don’t believe it, but your ancestors must regret putting their descendants under a curse. You should believe in karma."
Antonio chuckled even more. "Karma only happens to the weak and helpless."
Natasha smiled faintly. "Even if you don’t believe it, you lost Miranda. That’s your payment."
Antonio immediately clenched his fists, gritted his teeth, and stared intently at Natasha. "Don’t you dare say anything about her."
"I just told you and showed you the facts. Anyway, I’m not interested in arguing with you. I’m here for Alex. Stop torturing him," said Natasha, this time with a serious look.
Antonio felt his chest tighten, his breathing heavy. He took a deep breath.
Natasha continued. "You should know, Alex isn’t the kind of person who will show weakness in front of you, nor will he complain or whine. And you still treat him like a cash cow."
Antonio clenched his fists, putting down his cigar to take a deeper breath. "What are you talking about? He needs to have children! What... does he expect to love a man?"
"If he loves Huan, he will get Huan. If he loves a woman, he will get that woman, without your intervention. He is a man who knows what he wants. You can’t get a child from him? You can get one from maybe Roger, Malvin, or Lucas. Why force someone to get married and have a child?"
Antonio stared sharply at Natasha. "He will marry Athena." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"Before he marries that woman, he will die. You are the one who will suffer if he dies."
"What? He is not that weak! Just because a man—"
"What’s the difference with you? You still can’t forget Miranda. It’s the same with Alex. Love is love, no matter the shape."
Antonio was speechless. He clicked his tongue.
"You will die soon. Make yourself at least memories as a good grandfather, not the opposite."
Antonio’s eyes widened at the woman’s words. "What? You curse me to die now?!"
Natasha stood up and smiled. "Aging is a curse, Antonio. Don’t think that you will live forever."
She looked at Antonio more deeply now. "Maybe I will die before you. If it happens, please be kind to Dante and my sons."
Antonio looked at the woman intently, but now his gaze softened a little. "When will you die?"
"Soon. But I will make sure you send Huan back to the mansion."
Antonio sighed, taking a deep breath as Natasha left the room. He grumbled with an annoyed expression.
"That damn kid, why doesn’t he come to me himself? Why does he always send his woman to talk? What a loser!" Antonio grumbled, grabbing his cane and standing up.
"How many years has it been since he visited me? What a damn kid!" he continued as he left the room.
Alfred stood there, watching the old man with understanding. He knew that Antonio actually missed Dante, but his stubborn nature would not allow him to speak honestly. And Dante would not last five minutes living with that man.
Antonio walked toward his room, pressing a button on the side of the bookshelf attached to the wall. The shelf opened inward.
Antonio walked in, with Alfred behind him.
There, in a small room with dim lighting, a man was sitting, reading a thick book. Seeing Antonio’s arrival, he looked up.
Huan.
"You’re ruining your eyes reading in the dark," Antonio said in his rough, loud voice.
Huan put down his book. "What is it? I don’t have anything to do. I will die here soon. How long will you keep me here?"
Antonio stood in the middle of the room, staring at Huan, who was dressed simply in a black sweater and black pants belonging to one of Antonio’s guards. He didn’t understand what Alexander saw in this man.
His plan was actually very simple: he just wanted Alexander to marry Athena, and once the situation was safe, he would send Huan out of the country.
But who would have thought that Alexander would make everything so difficult? He couldn’t believe how stubborn his grandson was. He was completely unwilling to compromise.
"How are your injuries?" Antonio asked, because he had secretly sent a doctor inside to treat Huan.
He had been very thorough and detailed, making sure Jimmy captured every moment well, because Alexander would not easily believe it based only on words.
He even made sure Steven saw it. And then kicked everyone else out. Jimmy made sure there were no witnesses who saw that Huan was still alive. Even Antonio made sure the men who carried Huan believed he was dead, in order to convince Alexander.
He couldn’t kill Huan, because he anticipated something bad would happen, like what was happening now. He wouldn’t be able to bring a dead person back to life.
Only Alfred, Albert, and himself knew of Huan’s existence. And somehow, Natasha could sense it.
Now, he had no other reason to keep Huan there. Alexander would not marry Athena, perhaps preferring death over accepting Antonio’s offer.
Antonio sighed. "What a futile effort. But at least you know how foolish he is."
"What is it?" Huan asked. He understood Antonio’s plan and chose to accept his fate because he would leave the mansion in the end anyway.
"Alex is waiting for you. I give up," Antonio said, sounding annoyed.
Huan looked down. He had heard Alexander crying in Antonio’s room, because of him. He had never expected that.
"Is he okay now?" Huan asked.
"Go back. You’ll see for yourself," Antonio dismissed him.
