Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!-Chapter 188: His Whereabouts
Elias Warner spoke coldly.
"Is it... like this?" Caden Lynch felt something was amiss.
"If she’s inquiring about my whereabouts, just ignore her!" Elias Warner said.
"By the way, where are you now? It sounds like there’s a lot of wind where you are!" Caden asked, puzzled.
"I’ve set sail, with the Cryonia expedition team. If I make it back alive this time, I’ll think about other things!" Elias Warner knew how perilous this journey would be.
But he wanted to say goodbye to the past and start anew.
"Are you sure you don’t want me to tell your girlfriend about your whereabouts?"
"Yes, don’t tell her anything about me! If she asks about me again, just say you don’t know!" Elias Warner instructed.
"Alright, I really don’t understand you two!"
"Alright, I can’t talk anymore, the cruise ship is in trouble, I need to solve it quickly!" Elias Warner said anxiously and then hung up the phone.
Caden Lynch shook his head and thought to himself: "Elias, Elias, you’re asking me to lie! It’s too difficult for me!"
Caden Lynch sighed.
The next morning
Before Caden Lynch was fully awake, he heard a knock at the door.
He opened the hospital room door, and there stood Annelise Winter. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
"Why are you here again?" Caden was surprised. Didn’t they agree to contact each other once there was news? Why come again in less than a day?
"You must know where Elias Warner is, right?"
Annelise Winter looked at Caden Lynch pitifully, hoping he would tell her something about Elias Warner.
"Miss Winter, why do you insist? You should return to the country early. If Elias wants to return, he’ll do so on his own, but if he doesn’t want to, no one can persuade him!"
Caden Lynch was clear in his intention for Annelise Winter to return home.
"No, I can’t go back. I’ll wait for him here."
"Miss Winter, do you care about Elias that much? But what I don’t understand is, if you care about him so much, why do you hurt him time and again?"
Annelise Winter suddenly fell silent.
She should care more about Elias Warner than anyone else.
Before, seeing Elias Warner so troubled outside the study, she really wanted to tell him the truth.
"But... Miss Winter, I really don’t know where Elias is!"
Caden Lynch looked troubled.
Meanwhile, on the Cryonia cruise ship
The strong wind at sea lashed against the sea surface as the cruise ship sailed.
This journey’s goal was Cryonia, and they were soon approaching their destination.
Elias Warner and the people on the ship were all cheering, after all, the end was near.
Suddenly, the alarm sounded.
It violently pierced the deep night’s sea surface.
The laughter on the deck was instantly strangled, the sea wind suddenly became violent, and the black waves surged.
Every strike against the massive cruise ship made a chilling "crack" sound.
Inside the ship’s hall, the crystal chandelier flickered with erratic lights.
The glass on the table smashed on the floor with a "crash", the amber whiskey spreading across the floor.
Screams echoed from the hallway, and some people, wrapped in robes, stumbled out.
The fluorescent orange of the life jackets was dizzying under the cold emergency lights.
The broadcast poured out a crew member’s voice, trembling uncontrollably, constantly urging everyone to stay calm, yet was drowned out by the sound of the giant waves battering the ship.
The sunshade on the deck had been uprooted by the fierce wind, smashing into the sea like a kite with a broken string, disappearing instantly into the black water.
Elias Warner frowned and jumped into the cockpit.
The captain was baffled by the malfunction. If a solution wasn’t found soon, the cruise ship might tilt and end up sinking into the sea.
Elias Warner came to the captain, checked the entire vessel system, found a problem with the ballast system, and immediately made decisive repairs.
The ship finally returned to normal.
The ship’s personnel, moved to tears, held Elias Warner’s hand and said, "Thank you, without you, we would all have perished at sea."
Elias Warner looked at the now calm sea, sensing the threat of life. If not for catching the ship’s fault in time, he might have been lost to the vast ocean as well.
At this moment, the people on the deck suddenly felt the vessel normalize.
The broadcast then played the joyful, tearful voice of a crew member.
A professor from the expedition team excitedly entered the cockpit, holding the captain’s hand, saying, "Thank you, without you, we would have faced disaster this time!"
The old captain pointed at Elias Warner and said, "You’re thanking the wrong person. The one you should thank is this gentleman, he saved everyone on our ship!"
The professor looked at Elias Warner, "Thank you, young man, I feel like you look familiar, I wonder if we’ve met somewhere before?"
Elias Warner quickly said, "There must be some mistake, how could I have known someone from a scientific research team like yours."
Nearby, a female reporter, recognizing Elias Warner after hearing the professor say he seemed familiar, suddenly realized that this was the newly appointed president of the Warner Group?
A few days ago, the news of his disappearance was all over, and here he was, unexpectedly.
The female assistant beside the professor was also staring at Elias Warner.
From both Elias Warner’s appearance and demeanor, the female assistant instantly felt a fluttering in her heart.
"May I ask, what is your name?" the female assistant asked.
"My surname is Warner, you can just call me Mr. Warner!" Elias Warner replied politely.
"Little Warner, we owe it to you this time. Are you on this cruise for fun, or also for the expedition?"
"I am naturally here for the expedition. I plan to go alone to see the glaciers in Cryonia!"
Elias Warner replied.
"Great, then let’s go together. It’s always good to have another person to look after each other on the way!" suggested the female assistant.
Meanwhile, a female reporter secretly took a photo of Elias Warner, secretly pleased, thinking that if she released this photo, the traffic it generated would be huge for her.
While Elias Warner was talking with the professor and the female assistant, he glanced at the female reporter and immediately understood what she was doing.
After exchanging pleasantries, everyone went back to their own business.
The female reporter went to the deck, initially planning to start a live broadcast.
Elias Warner suddenly appeared behind her.
The female reporter was startled.
"Delete the photo. I suppose you already know my identity. Since you know who I am, you should behave yourself. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee what I might do. Don’t ruin your journalism career for a momentary gain. Consider yourself warned!"
After saying this, Elias Warner left.
The female reporter was still in shock, though Elias Warner hadn’t said anything harsh to her.
But his threat left her unsettled.
She really didn’t dare to go against the Warner Group, knowing the consequences would be dire.
However, she couldn’t give up the immense riches this opportunity promised.
So, the female reporter secretly posted the photo on her social media account and deleted it after thirty seconds.
This way, if anyone saw it, they would contact her.
At that time, providing Elias Warner’s whereabouts wouldn’t be a bad deal either, allowing her to earn quite a bit of money.
The female reporter’s scheme was meticulously planned.
Warner Family
Uncle Zeller rushed upstairs to the second floor of the villa.
Renee Perry was sipping beauty-enhancing tea on the second floor.
"Madam, we have news, we have news, there’s news about the young master!"
"Really? Where has Elias Warner gone?"
"Madam, the young master was spotted on a cruise ship by a female reporter!"
"What? On a cruise ship?" Renee Perry nearly collapsed hearing the news about Elias Warner.
"Yes, madam. The young master is being too impulsive this time, going on a cruise ship headed for an expedition to Cryonia. It’s way too dangerous!"
"What is that wench doing?" Renee Perry gritted her teeth in hatred towards Annelise Winter.
How could that wench allow Elias Warner to go to such a dangerous place?
"Madam, our people found out that Miss Winter is still in Breslin and hasn’t gone with Elias Warner!"
Uncle Zeller replied.
"Hmph, fine, very good!"
Renee Perry sneered.
Renee Perry took out her phone to call Annelise Winter.
Annelise Winter was still in Elias Warner’s villa at that moment, having heard nothing from him.
When she saw Renee Perry’s call, her hands trembled as she answered.
"Annelise Winter, do you know where Elias is right now? How could you allow him to do such dangerous things?"
Annelise Winter was startled.
"Where is he?"
"Where is he? You have the nerve to ask me where he is? He’s on a cruise ship going on an expedition to Cryonia, and you don’t even know where he’s gone. Annelise Winter, why don’t you just die? If you want to die, don’t drag my son down with you! And let me tell you, find a way to bring him back to me alive, or else prepare to bury that little bastard of yours! If anything happens to Elias, you better be ready to join him in the grave!"
If Annelise Winter were standing in front of her right now, she’d throw Annelise into Silvan River to feed the fish.
What did Elias Warner even see in her?
She bewitched him like a vixen, making him abandon both the Warner Group and his family!
"Don’t touch my child, I will bring Elias Warner back!" Annelise Winter’s eyes turned red.
She didn’t want things to turn out this way either.
If anything really happened to Elias Warner, she could never forgive herself.
Luna was her life, she couldn’t let Luna face danger either.
"Annelise Winter, I warn you, don’t think I don’t know. That little bastard of yours is Elias’s child, and if you’re planning to use this child to bind Elias and marry into the Warner Family, don’t even dream about it! Elias doesn’t know the child’s identity right now, and if you dare to reveal it, I will make you and the child disappear! I’m going to have that little bastard caught and locked away! You brought this on yourself!"
Renee Perry hung up the phone.
