Kung Fu Baby with 17 Doting Brothers-Chapter 461: Miaomiao Is the Big Boss
The third episode of "Little Boss" was filmed at a small supermarket on Gua Street in Jiang City.
Although it’s called a small supermarket, it is actually much larger than the one in Zhu Family Village. When at least five kids patrol the territory, they are filled with pride, as if this supermarket truly belongs to them, with snacks to eat all they wish and toys to take as they please.
The director saw them all strutting around with heads held high and looking so pleased with themselves that he couldn’t help but remind them, "But you guys will have more product types and prices to remember this time."
Thus, when they looked at the dazzling array of products again, all five kids had their heads filled with various types and prices. Their little heads simply couldn’t handle it.
"Aooo!"
Tuanzi shook her head while holding it, "Why can’t they be remembered by Miaomiao automatically?"
All the other kids nodded in deep agreement.
Ai Fengyi said angrily, "They’re not being obedient!" 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Zhong Yi: "Naughty!"
The director pretended to be cold and ruthless: "Very soon customers will be coming in, and you all need to hurry up and learn."
Tuanzi quickly ran to the shelves to recite.
As she recited, she nodded her head and stomped her feet from time to time.
[Puhahaha, what kind of recitation method is this?]
[It reminds me, I think I’ve seen similar scenes on TV. Costume dramas where students at private academies learn like this, I even mimicked it when I was a kid]
[I didn’t imitate it on my own; my elementary teacher insisted I do it, and I never understood why. Does shaking your head really make knowledge enter the brain on its own?]
Tuanzi inadvertently revealed she had watched students in an ancient academy study.
But no one thought about time travel; they just assumed she had seen similar television shows.
Except for Zhong Yi, all the other kids quickly continued studying.
As for Zhong Yi, who often lazes around and rolls on the floor, everyone treats him as a mascot, hoping his round, chubby, and adorable appearance will... attract more customers.
Yet, perhaps because there was no supervision, Zhong Yi soon reverted to his old habits, sneaking to grab candies from the shelves.
Other kids were still studying.
The director could only stand behind the cameraman and warn Zhong Yi not to take any.
The little boy already had the candy tightly in hand, but upon hearing this, he shook his head vigorously.
"I want to take it!"
He puffed up his chubby cheeks, reasoning soundly, "This is my shop, I can take it."
Director: "..." Wake up, you’re too deep into the role!
For a moment, the audience didn’t know how to react.
They initially wanted to say Zhong Yi wasn’t following the show’s rules and was a lazy smart-aleck. On second thought, the show’s setting is that the kids are the supermarket owners, and whatever the owners want to do with the products, they can do.
The director couldn’t help but think of Zhong Yi’s parents’ instructions.
The couple was usually too busy, and it was the grandparents raising the kids. Their parenting philosophies were clearly different, with one side wanting strict guidance and the other just wanting to spoil them. This also affected Zhong Yi’s character.
This chubby child had a strong will to survive; if the parents were at home, he’d be well-behaved, but if not, he’d be a little tyrant and a foodie.
Allowing their child to participate in this show was also in hopes that, through interacting with other kids, Zhong Yi would learn their strengths and correct his shortcomings.
The renowned dancer clearly stated that the director could step in to educate at will. This show is merely a transition. After the show ends, Zhong Yi’s parents will set aside some work to focus on parenting.
Thinking of this, the director couldn’t help but offer a few more words of advice.
The little boy wouldn’t listen; he had already started unwrapping the candy.
The director hardened his heart and pointed in a direction, "Miaomiao, why are you here?"
Zhong Yi, in a never-before-seen speed, put the candy back and used his chubby little hands to swipe at the trademarks on the shelves, beginning to recite.
Even if he didn’t know some of the words, he pretended to recognize them.
Director: "..." He’s fifty years old, how come he has less authority than a five and a half-year-old child?
[...]
[For a moment, I don’t know what to say]
[Both infuriating and amusing]
[Miaomiao is so adorable, why is he afraid of Miaomiao?]
Tuanzi didn’t understand it either, she even asked her family about this question. But her big brother always said she was a little cutie and not scary at all, so Tuanzi stopped worrying about it.
Now, in response to the director’s request, Tuanzi tilted her head and thought for a while.
"Miaomiao is very busy and can’t supervise him all the time."
However, she liked to help and came up with an idea.
"Why not have him wear a big red flower and stand at the door to welcome customers? If he doesn’t see those snacks, he won’t be tempted."
[Ancient Martial System: Did you come up with this based on personal experience?]
After all, the host was the same; as long as she didn’t see those delicious things, she wouldn’t crave them.
Tuanzi pretended not to hear.
With her hands in her pockets, she smiled at the director and said, "Uncle, what do you think of this idea?"
It was a clever idea she thought up with her smart little head.
The director immediately found a big red flower and coaxed Zhong Yi into wearing it.
The little boy was initially reluctant, but caught a glimpse of Tuanzi wandering by with her hands in her pockets and quickly put on the flower, running to stand at the door.
In front of an otherwise unremarkable supermarket, having a chubby kid wearing a big red flower immediately attracted curious passersby to stop and look.
It was Friday, a weekday, so the street was busy, but not many customers were going into shops.
No matter the method, if you can make passersby curiously glance at the shop, you just might turn passersby into customers.
Soon someone came over to tease Zhong Yi.
Zhong Yi remembered his mission.
"Big brother, there are delicious things inside, do you want to go buy them?"
He wanted nothing more than to drag the person inside.
As long as he dragged the person in, Miaomiao wouldn’t float by like a ghost, back and forth behind him.
Every time his sister passed by, he got chills down his spine.
The little boy managed, through his labor, to entertain many guests.
At lunchtime, he specifically requested an extra drumstick.
The crew had no objections and gave him an extra drumstick. They knew his appetite was always large.
In the end, everyone watched him give the extra drumstick to Tuanzi.
Tuanzi: "..."
"Why are you giving it to Miaomiao? Miaomiao will take it herself if she wants it."
Zhong Yi grinned fawningly, "I, I want to rest this afternoon, and, and want to ask for your permission."
Tuanzi was puzzled.
The show is the director’s decision, not hers!
Unlike what she believed, Zhong Yi only feared her in the show. Despite his grandmother’s complaints about Tuanzi bossing him around, he thought, he’s the Little Boss and Tuanzi is the Big Boss, the Little Boss should listen to the Big Boss.
Tuanzi thought for a moment, "Then you can sleep at the door this afternoon."
Having someone sleep at the supermarket door could also attract more people!
Tuanzi was very satisfied, and Zhong Yi was also very happy with this decision.
