Kissing My Student, It's Over if We're Caught-Chapter 3Volume 2 .4 - Kirihara Touka - Happy Moment: "Welcome back," "Im home," "Lets eat"
Kirihara Touka – Happy Moment: “Welcome back,” “I’m home,” “Let’s eat”
Kirihara comforted me with a “there, there” gesture. Today, she seemed like the older one.
“It’s my fault for teasing you too much. You were tired, so it can’t be helped, really.”
“Hmm...”
More than the condition itself, it’s highly likely that I was just frustrated. Of course, the cause being— I hastily dismissed the thought of Yuzu that flashed through my mind. If she noticed again, she might really pounce on me this time.
“I got carried away because I was happy you touched me, but maybe it’s good we didn’t do it. Once we start, it feels like we won’t be able to stop, and Gin, you’d probably feel incredibly down… To be honest, I wanted to, but patience, patience…”
Kirihara, looking at me from up close, had a very pleasant expression. Maybe she was happy to be wanted.
“Let’s save the fun for after graduation… The more we wait, the better it will feel, right?”
“…Absolutely.”
“Nfufu, I’m looking forward to it. Make sure to satisfy me until I’m content, okay?”
“I wonder who will give up first…”
“Ah~~…? That’s a bit scary.”
Imagining what might happen, Kirihara blushed.
“It’s not something to be afraid of…”
I managed to say, though I was very sleepy. Perhaps because of the heat exhaustion, my limit was near.
“Why? Because…”
“Because… when I was drunk… I, with you, once…”
“Ah, Gin, about that—”
“…”
“Gin?”
“Ah, sorry… just too sleepy…”
“Okay.”
“Was there… something…?”
“No, it’s nothing. Goodnight, Gin.”
“Ah… goodnight…”
Feeling Kirihara’s warmth as I snuggled close, I let go of consciousness. It was the most blissful sleep I could have hoped for.

Several weeks passed, September ended, and October began. The persistent late-summer heat finally subsided, and the season transitioned from summer to autumn, marking the end of Cool Biz.
Since starting our cohabitation, life with Kirihara had stabilized, and I finally managed to shake off the fatigue accumulated from the summer vacation.
Though, as a teacher, life remained relentlessly busy.
The latter half of September was consumed with preparing questions for the midterm exams held in early October.
Kurei-sensei, considering my fatigue, suggested, “Let’s split the workload this time.”
Having thoroughly prepared for the final exams of the first semester, this time felt much easier.
“Your work seems to be going well lately.”
“Yes, thanks to you.”
“Surely, something good must have happened.”
With other teachers listening, Kurei-sensei spoke vaguely.
All I could do was return a wry smile.
“That’s good. Though there might still be unresolved issues, enjoy yourself.”
True to Kurei-sensei’s words, life with Kirihara was very stable.
Not much had changed in my daily routine from when I lived alone.
I left for work early, returned late, and usually went to bed early. On weekdays, spending time at home with Kirihara amounted to just three to four hours. Considering the work I sometimes brought home, our interaction time was even less.
Yet, we still cooked dinner together, ate together, and on days when we could afford it, played games before bed. Then, we slept in the same bed.
“Sleeping together was supposed to be for special occasions,” but now it had become a regular occurrence.
Kirihara was happy, and I wasn’t against it, so I didn’t refuse.
The only challenging part was maintaining self-control.
But, seeing Kirihara smile carefreely in my arms before turning off the light was a great feeling, so we planned to continue this practice.
…Now, as we end another day, lying in the dark room, we happily chat.
“It’s almost a month since Gin started staying over on weekdays… I was worried we might start seeing each other’s bad sides and argue, but nothing like that happened.”
“It might happen if we stay together longer, but so far, so good.”
“Yes!”
“Hm…?”
My phone vibrated on the nightstand.
It could be an emergency contact from work, so I decided to check the sender at least.
“From work?”
“No, it’s Yuzu.”
“Grrr, growl~”
“Stop barking.”
“I’m joking.”
It wasn’t a bluff but a genuine joke. Kirihara seemed to know my heart was firmly with her, as she didn’t mind recent contacts from Yuzu.
“What did Yuzu say?”
“She’s narrowing down her job search and has started working through reference books for the written exams.”
Besides job-hunting updates, Yuzu occasionally messaged me for other reasons.
Like, “The circulation notice? Came to my place, but what am I supposed to do with it? Come over and see~” or “Are you eating properly? Let’s eat together sometime~”
She seemed to be looking for reasons to get me to return to her.
“Because I’m unemployed, being alone makes me restless!” she said.
“Well, her reaching out like this probably means Yuzu’s feeling lonely too.”
“Hmm~”
Ah, I sensed a hint of jealousy in that response.
“Aren’t you going to reply?”
“It can wait until tomorrow… Right now, you’re all I’m thinking about, you know?”
“Yes!”
She clung tightly to my arm. Being careful was necessary, but her jealousy hadn’t changed.

Cohabitation with Kirihara was going smoothly.
The midterm exams in early October went off without any cheating or test errors.
…However.
In the class I was in charge of, following the summer school explanation session—pre-culture festival, there was yet another problem.
“Hashima-sensei, about the cultural festival plan, I heard it hasn’t been submitted to the student council yet?”
This time, Kurei-sensei was appointed to consider school-side approval, replacing the vice principal.
“Yes, that’s correct… I’m sorry.”
“You have a week until the deadline, but will you make it?”
“We’ve settled on the main points, but there’s been some friction among the students about the final details…”
“Oh dear. Following the last incident, your class seems to be having a tough time. With many quick-witted students, it’s probably easy for conflicts to arise during planning.”
“Are you referring to Higashi and Kasahara?”
“Right. The dynamic between class representatives, Higashi-san and Kasahara-san, seems to be the source of the conflict.”
“…As expected.”
Exactly as she said. Kurei-sensei knew the students well, despite her teaching experience not being significantly longer than mine.
“By the way, what’s causing the friction?”
“We planned to run a maid café, but there have been various issues with budget allocation…”
“Come on! We’re doing a maid café, so why skimp on the costume budget!”
During homeroom, right after the exams—when the atmosphere should have brightened, Higashi’s outcry filled the classroom.

“The cooking team proposed it! Even if the outfits are nice, serving bad food because we cut costs will turn off customers! Do you think people will say, ‘The maids are cute~’ in such a place?”
As usual, Kasahara countered.
After winning first place in sales at the pre-culture festival and securing the additional budget as planned, everything was going smoothly with the maid café project—until this point.
Planning engaging activities like games with the maids and a one-day maid idol group performance for the customers—everything seemed fun.
Then, it was time to finalize. A cooking team was formed to decide on the menu.
As they started crafting concrete recipes, things began to derail.
“Why are you so fixated on the maid outfits? Puberty-induced perversion?”
“I won’t deny it! But there’s a winning strategy! I hate to admit it to you, but our class is known for having attractive girls… Frankly, just the thought of you all in maid outfits will probably draw a crowd.”
“...Ah, is that so?”
