Chen Yi opened the door. With a frown she said.

"Mr. Xhi what are you doing here at this hour?", Chen Yi could smell trouble. There was a huge crowd outside. Liu Chao was among the crowd with her minions. A lot of aunties were also standing to treasure the drama. Mr. Xhi was also there with a grim face with his two other assistants. He was the building manager of the residential area where Chen Yi stayed.

"You dare to act so innocent after what you did?!" Lui Chao was the first one to lash out. "You seduced a man like Li Luxian and tarnished our society good name. Do you think we will let you off with that?"

And it didn't take another minute for Chen Yi to conclude that it was all Lui Chao doing.

"Oh, did I? How did I do that exactly?" Chen Yi asked in a calm, tranquil voice that didn't show any hint of anger as that one could not expect from someone who was being affronted.

"Don't play dumb!" Lui Chao said contemptuously. She was further infuriated that her words hadn't a slightest effect on Chen Yi. "We all know that the girl in the scandal is you. Mr. Li had a fiance. The whole world is cursing the girl who took advantage of Mr. Li and resulted in him breaking his engagement with a fairy-like lady Wang Hualing. The whole world is aware of your shameless actions so don't dare to deny it!"

Chen Yi thought it was expected. The way the whole media was abusing the girl in the scandal. It was backed and urged by the Wang family to do so to pressurize the Li family. So the general public held bitterness towards that mysterious girl. And Lui Chao didn't waste a second to get an advantage of it assuming that the girl in the scandal was Chen Yi.

As for now, Li Luxian was keeping the media from disclosing her identity. If her identity was disclosed before she got married to Li Luxian, it would result in nasty consequences for Chen Yi.

At that moment the crowd held a lot of bitterness towards the girl in scandal as a consequence of media efficacious slandering.

"How are you so sure that the girl in the scandal is me?" She stated calmly.

That took everyone off guard because previously they had been totally persuaded by Lui Chao that it was her. The thought never occurred to them that it could be someone other than Chen Yi.

So she didn't lose her cool and laughed belittling their accusations and carefully selected her next words.

"Do you think the whole media is an idiot? Could they not tell that the girl in the scandal was me?" Her voice was strong, calm and tranquil that could enrapture one's heart with its firmness. "They are following Mr. Li 24 hours. If they suspected me in the slightest, they would have put my face in headlines."

What Chen Yi said made sense and was irrefutable. Lui Chao had notified her cousin Lui Xun, that was a generalist, about Chen Yi and Mr. Li in hopes of getting Chen Yi face upfront in media and getting her in trouble but there was no response from her cousin side.

At that time the thought occurred to her that the girl in the scandal might not be Chen Yi.

"So what are you denying that you have anything to do with Mr. Li?" Lui Chao said bitterly.

"I'm not denying it," Chen Yi thought that the crowd held the hate only towards the girl in the scandal so she subtly used her words indirectly denying that she was the one in the scandal, "But I assure you that Mr. Li didn't break off his engagement because of me"

Chen Yi frowned.

"What has it to do with you guys anyway?"
