Kiss the Scumbag-Chapter 100
“What did you say?”
Winston’s face visibly twisted. Yujin flinched in surprise at the unfamiliar expression, but he didn’t change his mind. Gathering the confidence that had vanished in an instant, he opened his mouth again.
“I-it’s a party. I... I want to join in too.”
Winston looked down at him silently. Seeing the unease shaking in Yujin’s eyes, his heart ached, but at the same time, he wanted to flat-out refuse and send him back to his room. That inner conflict tormented him.
It’s natural for Yujin to be curious since this is his first time in a place like this.
Thinking that way, it would have been better for Winston to take the initiative, actively introduce Yujin to others, and create a place for him to socialize. But he felt this moment wasn’t appropriate.
Especially with those drunks and drug addicts.
What if Yujin picked up bad habits hanging around with those slackers who get drunk and smoke marijuana all the time? Everything in the world is new and fascinating to Yujin, so he might fall into a pit before he even realizes what’s good or bad.
Not now.
This was a place where Winston couldn’t feel any relief. Deciding to comfort Yujin, Winston spoke.
“Yujin, I’m sorry. I’ll kick those guys out right away, so let’s have the party later. You don’t have to hang out with them...”
“Your name is Yujin?”
“Yujin, come here, let’s play games together!”
“A toast for Yujin and Winston!”
Winston’s words vanished before he could finish. Hearing the shouts and whistles around, Winston sighed in disbelief as Yujin looked around nervously. Seeing that face, Yujin’s heart sank. Maybe I was stubborn for nothing. What if Winston got fed up with me?
Sorry, I’ll go back upstairs.
“Uh...”
Just as Yujin opened his mouth to speak, Evelyn suddenly stepped between them.
“What’s wrong with that? It’d be good for Yujin to join in too. Hm? It’s a matter everyone will find out about eventually.”
With those last words, she smiled at Yujin. Caught off guard, Yujin blinked. Winston frowned and looked at her, then back to Yujin. His face showed the conflict inside. Evelyn was clearly siding with him, but seeing that expression only made Yujin feel worse.
What should I do?
Caught in a dilemma. If he said he’d just go upstairs, it would feel like he’d made Winston uncomfortable by being stubborn. But if he stayed, it’d be because of Evelyn.
Feeling unfair, he bowed his head deeply, but as if noticing, Winston spoke.
“Yujin, if you want to hang out with everyone, then do. If not, then don’t. I’ll follow whatever you choose.”
Huh?
When Yujin looked up, Winston’s expression was different than before. His face was kind and smiling as usual, as if he would gladly run away to the ends of the earth with him right now.
“If I kick everyone out and we’re alone, you’d want that...?”
Carefully asking, Winston nodded readily.
“Okay, I’ll bring the gun from the study.”
“W-wait, wait, hold on!”
Yujin hurriedly grabbed Winston as he was about to turn away.
“I was just saying. There’s no need for that... really.”
“Is that so?”
Seeing what looked like disappointment, Yujin’s bad feelings melted away like ice in the sun. He smiled openly and nodded.
“Since friends came over for once... I’ll hang out too. You won’t be up all night, right?”
If he just had to deal with them for a few hours, it’d be okay. Yujin truly thought so. Meeting new people wouldn’t be a bad experience...
“Do you really want to hang out with these guys? Seriously?”
Winston asked once more to confirm, and Yujin nodded again.
“Yeah, it’s my first time, so I’m curious.”
Winston sighed briefly, then relaxed his expression and smiled.
“Alright, come here.”
Winston suddenly wrapped his arm around Yujin’s waist and headed toward the group drinking loudly. Naturally lifting a beer bottle, Yujin tried to mingle with the others while holding a bottle himself.
Though the friends were loud and full of bravado, they didn’t seem like bad people. Laughing at pointless jokes and jeers, Yujin found himself laughing and chatting along. Before he knew it, he had finished a whole bottle.
“Want another drink?”
Seeing the empty bottle and Yujin’s disappointed expression, Winston asked. When Yujin nodded, Winston urged him to stay put, then hurried away. Watching Winston’s retreating back with satisfaction, Yujin turned back—only to find all eyes suddenly on him. Surprised, he blinked, and they started speaking with smiles.
“Wow, he finally left. That damn bastard was really giving him dirty looks.”
“I thought I was choking earlier? Yujin smiled at me. Winston almost tried to kill me.”
“Really? Why’d you act so flashy in front of your boyfriend? What a trash.”
Amid the loud chatter, Yujin smiled awkwardly at them. They kept talking without paying attention.
“Hiding such a pretty lover all this time. No wonder he rejected everyone who confessed.”
“If I were Winston’s boyfriend, I’d do the same.”
“I wish I’d met him first.”
“Where have you been hiding until now? Showing up now is cheating.”
...That’s a compliment, right?
Not knowing how to take their jokes, Yujin just gave an awkward smile. He hoped Winston would come soon. Glancing back, another one spoke up.
“How long have you two been dating?”
“Ah, uh...”
Turning his head quickly, Yujin saw everyone looking at him with interest. Embarrassed, he rubbed the back of his neck and answered.
“Well, um... about half a year?”
Probably. They started dating since Winston returned. Technically, it hadn’t even been a few months, but Yujin exaggerated vaguely. This little bluff should be okay. Though it was nothing, his heart pounded like it would burst. Taking a deep breath, someone else spoke again.
“So Winston won’t go to pheromone parties anymore?”
Huh?
Wondering what that meant, Yujin looked at him curiously. But the guy didn’t notice and nodded.
“Yeah, now that Yujin’s here.”
“They say extreme alphas have to forcefully release pheromones, so that’s quite a hassle.”
“Isn’t that a good thing? No matter how much they fool around, they can just blame pheromones.”
The guy chuckled, then suddenly stopped and looked at Yujin. When Yujin met his dazed eyes, the others visibly flinched too. A bad feeling stirred.
“Wait, what’s that mean? ...Pheromone party?”
It wasn’t the first time Yujin heard the term. Repeating the unfamiliar word, the guys looked at each other in surprise. They seemed to realize their mistake too late, but it was already spilled milk. Some of them peeked behind Yujin, as if checking for Winston, then sighed.
“They’d know anyway.”
“Right, if you’re dating Winston, you have to know.”
“Winston probably planned to tell eventually...”
The rambling conversation made Yujin even more anxious. He couldn’t hold back and pressed them.
“What is all this about? Tell me quickly! It’s frustrating!”
The group hesitated, passing glances among themselves, but finally one summoned courage to speak.
“They say extreme alphas can’t let pheromones build up, so they have to have sex frequently to release them. So sometimes they invite omega prostitutes to parties and have group sex or something like that.”
The shocking confession left Yujin’s /N_o_v_e_l_i_g_h_t/ head spinning. He just blinked at him. Everyone watched Yujin’s reaction, but he didn’t even notice.
“...So.”
When he finally managed to speak, his voice was shaky and weak.
“You mean Winston slept with others? With several at once?”
