Kingdom Building: Civilization Starts with Divinity-Chapter 132: Alchemy’s Warpath
Chaos fell upon the bears that dwelled in the artificially created caves.
Lions rampaged through the place trying to kill anything that moved. Their total numbers weren’t much different, with the Ore Dwellers having a few more for their headcount.
The same couldn’t be said for their combatants.
While there were 75 Ore Dwellers, barely half of them were combat ready. Among them, the little Matriarch, Sora, ran as fast as her four tiny legs would carry her.
Several of the multi-elemental lions chased her. Some were caught by other Ore Dwellers who came to help their young miss, but in the end, a lion with a mane which majestically flew in the wind still chased her.
"No! Stay away from me!" Sora shouted as she turned her head in a panic.
She looked back to check the distance between her and her demise, but it ended up backfiring as she tripped over a few large rocks.
Such a fall wasn’t enough to actually harm an Ore Dweller. Even their children were quite hearty, but she couldn’t possibly get up in time!
As the lion grew closer, she couldn’t help but close her eyes. It was too scary.
"Mommy..." She called out.
Moments later, a loud CRASH! Echoed throughout the land.
"I’m not your mom, but I certainly am someone’s," a young woman said with a chuckle.
As she opened her eyes, she saw a human. No, they were more like a fairy with their petite figure and small wings. They had a smile that was almost maternal as they offered the young bear a hand.
"You’re..."

"Your very own resident Goddess. It’s only been a few days, but you’ve grown so much, princess."

’Harsh assessment.’ Alchemy sighed inwardly.
|<But not incorrect by any metric.>|
’Shut up.’
"Help mom! She’s... She’s in danger!" Sora pleaded.
"Danger?" Alchemy questioned.
Alchemy turned her attention toward the barrier without even asking what Sora meant.
"What a dangerous feeling... Don’t tell me. The Matriarch is fighting something over there?"
Ever since Alchemy had gained her 5th stat, her senses had been significantly heightened, but she also gained a sixth sense of sorts.
Much like the system’s danger rating, she could get a feel for the general strength of all living things nearby.
In the village alone, she sensed dozens of weak signatures, but a way off, she felt two stronger signals, one of which seemed to be getting significantly weaker.
"Please..." Sora continued to beg with tears in her eyes.
Alchemy crouched down and patted Sora on the head.
"Little Sora. You’d like to see a Miracle, right? But you need to smile. Your smile will make the impossible happen, okay?"
"Ev...Even saving Mommy?" She asked between sniffles.
"Not just your Mommy, but all of your friends and other family too."
Sora didn’t understand why, but the calm, steady words from Alchemy made her feel like everything would be alright.
It wasn’t easy, but she forced her facial muscles to work, forcing a smile while still crying.
"Good girl," Alchemy said.
Before she could get up or turn around, however, another lion charged at her and bit into her shoulder.
Sora was about to scream, but she realized that the sharp teeth of the apex predator didn’t even pierce her clothing.
"Just find a nice comfy hiding spot until I get back, okay?" Alchemy continued speaking, unbothered by the lion.
With her gear she obtained from the dungeon on top of her Aura, these level 20-30 lions couldn’t even damage her.
Grabbing the lion by its skull, she tossed the oversized cat into the air and punched upward. The blade created from Razor Surge flew out from her fist and cleanly parted their head from their torso.

’Fire is mint, Wind is Cream, and Water is Vanilla? Whoever decided these names is a genius.’
|<Are you sure you should be making promises like that? Even if it’s you, 60 is a bit much.>|
"Oh, System. I spew a lot of crap, but one thing you should know about me is that I do not lie to children."
After speaking, Alchemy dashed away from her spot, slamming her entire body into a pair of lions ganging up on one of the adult Ore Dwellers.

Before the bear could look at her much less realize what was happening, Alchemy had already hopped to the next lion.
The sound of their friends being crushed so quickly must have alerted the rest, as they began to break away from the Ore Dwellers they were fighting and turn to Alchemy.
Not that she cared. She had already grabbed her next victim and was dragging him through the ground until throwing him at a small group of Lions, knocking them all down like bowling pins.
Letting out a roar, two lions charged at her from both sides only for her to jump up and force them to ram into each other.
While she was flipping through the air, both a Vanilla and Cream lions fired off high-speed projectiles toward her, but even in the air, they couldn’t hit Alchemy as she gracefully twirled her body and landed with an arrogant pose while digging the final type of lion into the ground.

The lions all looked at each other and began regrouping. Naturally, Alchemy let them.
It made them stop attacking the Ore Dwellers and made it easier to clean them all up.
Unfortunately for Alchemy, they didn’t attack. Instead, one of them gave an order.
"RETREAT!"
