Kingdom Building: Civilization Starts with Divinity-Chapter 114: Mimic Invasion(5)
The portal above began to spin chaotically. Unlike the other portals, it moved around as if it was searching for a good spot to unleash whatever was waiting on the other side.
Eventually, it decided... On the worst possible location.
Right above the Divine Tree...
Right away, something massive began to fall through the portal, causing Nera and Alchemy to dash forward.
"Tear it out!" Alchemy shouted.
"Right!" Nera responded, flying into the sky.
{Prepare to Fire!} Nera gave the command to the Emberbugs.
As Nera entered her Gigant Form, she began ferociously grabbing the leg of her next enemy.
"Khht." She gritted her teeth.
She couldn’t tell if it was the creature was heavy or if the portal was resisting her, but even with all her strength, she couldn’t move it an inch.
Chains from below came to assist her. They helped, but minimally. As more and more of the creature left the portal, the Emberbugs began firing at its hulking body. It was already several times bigger than Nera, and it was only halfway out.
Finally, its head revealed itself, and it let out a blood-curdling laugh.

The moment it tried to debuff Alchemy’s units, Nera gained all of her buffs from her Faction.
"Fucking...!" She began to shout as her eyes gained a crazed glint.
"BEGONE!"
With the help from Origin Well, one of the new skills she got from the skill shards Alchemy gave her, the chains from Clausura Aeternum, and her 60% stat increases, Nera just barely managed to toss the hulking demon.
The thing was the size of a three-story building. It had rough grayish skin, a large stomach, and natural scale-like armor covering its chest and neck. Each finger and toe had a curved blade.
The Emberbugs were unleashing hell upon it. However, they had no way to tell if their armor shred debuff was taking effect as there was no visual indicator.
"What the hell is that thing," Nera asked as she landed next to Alchemy.
<Name: Flesh Butcher>

"I don’t know, but it’s way stronger than the rest. It’s even a named monster." Alchemy responded.
<HP: 5444/7551>
<SP: 931/4630>
<KP: 1716/2300>
"And my SP is at like 20%. What about you?" She continued.
"Still above 50% for now. We need to end this quickly."
As the two talked, they charged at the large demon who was slowly getting up.
Alchemy tried to gouge its massive eye out, but the creature closed them and actually caused her to bounce back through the air from the recoil.
With her greatsword in hand, Nera slashed at the Flesh Butcher’s legs. She caused a deep gash, but its muscles expanded to patch the wound.
Worse still, it didn’t flinch at all and ignored them as it stood.
"Shit. We are not equipped to deal with high-speed regeneration." Nera scoffed.
Alchemy looked at the laughing demon before turning to Nera’s sword.
"It’s not an undead. Disconnect its brain from the rest of its body or destroy the heart. Okay, here’s the plan, Nera. I’ll take its aggro. You and the Wingrazers focus on cutting the things head off. In the meantime, make sure you conserve your SP."
An enemy with high CON was the worst-case scenario. If it had high strength or intelligence, Nera could one-shot it and be done, but a level 60 elite focusing on CON wouldn’t fall in a timely manner.
Not to mention its size. Landing a singular fatal strike was nearly impossible, and any building it trampled on would be destroyed due to the demon’s weight.
"You’re in luck! I’ve got the perfect skill for this!" Nera gave a thumbs up, trying to raise the mood.
"You’re asking for a death flag." Alchemy rolled her eyes sarcastically.
Leaping into the air, Alchemy met the giant face-to-face. It tried to swat at her like the fly she was, but she caught its massive hand with her own, reinforcing her dominant arm with Divine Energy and Aura.
"Is that all?" She questioned, twisting her body and kicking the giant’s hand back.
Instead of reinforcing her whole body, she moved her SP and KP around her body as quickly as she could to minimize its use. She barely managed to keep it up, but it was manageable when she wasn’t worried about dodging.
With the giant’s attention wholly on her, Alchemy glided away from her colony.
She didn’t expect the giant to be nimble enough to recover that hand already and slam into her. She was expecting him to attack with his other hand, so she was focused on it, but it backfired.
She didn’t even have time to reinforce the side of her body, forcing her to take the hit.
Like a meteor, Alchemy shot to the ground, destroying a dozen trees in her wake.
<HP: 4134/7571>
"You hit like a little girl." Said the little girl.
Getting up from the ground, Alchemy cracked her knuckles before she began running away. Each step the giant took after she caused the forest to shake and cry out in pain.
’Man, isn’t this forest supposed to have super high-level dryads? Where are they when a giant is destroying their precious trees?’ Alchemy wondered as she nearly got crushed.
<Notice: Probably dealing with invaders elsewhere.>
’There’s more?’
<Notice: The Invaders are not only targeting Prospects. Anything that can at least be classified as a "Tribe" can be targeted. The Gale Wolves, Knowledge Seekers, and Ore Dwellers are not exceptions.>
’Oh, for the love of God. What the hell are these things?!’
<Notice: Prospect, you do not have time to be worrying about such trivial things right now.>
’No. I disagree. I absolutely do. It’s not like I have a way to damage this thing meaningfully. Now explain what yo- ACK!’
Alchemy’s thoughts were cut short when the giant shot its bladed nails at her, giving the top of her head a nice trim as she narrowly managed to duck.
