King of the Wilderness-Chapter 91 - 89: Bow Hunt for the Wild Boar King
Several robust wild boars came crashing out of the willow grove in a panic, headed straight for the clearing where they were hiding!
Leading the charge was an exceptionally large male boar, with sharp tusks, clearly the leader of the herd!
Lin Yu’an’s gaze instantly locked on to this boar king! Just as it entered the optimal shooting range within forty meters, his eyes focused, and the drawn bowstring suddenly released!
"Whoosh—!"
The heavy hunting arrow sliced through the air like black lightning, with a sharp whistling sound, aimed precisely at the vital area behind the left foreleg of the boar king!
"Thud—!"
The sound of the blade piercing flesh was clear and jarring! The arrow penetrated deeply like bamboo, with powerful kinetic energy sending the lethal arrowhead deep into its chest cavity!
"Roar—!!!!"
The boar king let out a scream full of pain and fury, its massive body staggered violently, the great inertia making it roll several times forward.
"Nicely done! Lin!"
Buck shouted excitedly, meanwhile the shotgun in his hands also thundered deafeningly, bringing down another sow attempting to flee.
Meanwhile, Earl, at the hilltop high point, also displayed his marksmanship as a divine shooter.
Every crisp shot from the rifle in his hand hit the vital points of the wild boars accurately, calm, efficient, and deadly!
Chad, meanwhile, directed the hunting dogs, continuously harassing and biting from the periphery of the boar herd, skillfully controlling the chaotic situation.
Just then, the heavily injured boar king, after standing up again, suddenly changed direction, dragging its wound as it desperately darted towards a dense thicket of brambles!
It was clearly trying to use the complicated terrain to escape the chase!
"No good! He’s not dead yet! Stop it!"
Buck’s face changed suddenly, he hurriedly raised his gun and fired, but the cunning boar king dodged left and right, avoiding the shots.
Lin Yu’an’s eyes focused, knowing this was a critical moment! He had no hesitation, pouncing out from the shrubs like a leopard, quickly drawing a second arrow and nocking it on the bow.
This time, he must find a shooting opportunity while in motion!
His heavy-duty hiking boots provided excellent grip on the slippery ground, making each step as steady as a rock.
He closely followed the boar king, about thirty meters behind, trying not to let it widen the distance any further.
The opportunity came! Just as the boar king leaped to avoid a fallen dead tree, its body momentarily suspended in mid-air!
Lin Yu’an’s steps abruptly halted, without even having time to aim precisely, relying entirely on the hunter’s instinct and muscle memory, decisively drawing, releasing in one fluid motion!
"Whoosh—!!!"
The second hunting arrow whistled out, also piercing fiercely into the boar king’s waist ribs!
"Thud—!!!"
"Argh—!"
The boar king let out a short, desperate wail, its massive body crashing heavily to the ground, blood gushing out madly from its mouth, nose, and wounds.
It only convulsed a few times symbolically before stopping breathing completely.
The forest returned to a deathly silence once again.
Lin Yu’an maintained his archery stance until he confirmed that the boar king was completely dead, only then did he slowly put down the bow in his hand.
"Lin! Are you okay?"
Buck, Earl, and Chad came running over, panting heavily.
When they saw the enormous boar king, and the deadly arrow nearly fully embedded in its body, their faces were filled with incredible admiration.
"Oh my God! Unbelievable! Lin! Those two arrows of yours... were amazing!" Buck exclaimed excitedly.
Earl’s perpetually icy demeanor even broke for a moment with a rare smile, giving a solemn thumbs up, "Lin, you are growing into a true hunter."
Chad was utterly stunned, all previous disdain and doubt shattered completely.
Now, the look in his eyes towards Lin Yu’an was filled with admiration, "Lin... you... are just magical! I’ve never seen an archer as good as you in my whole life!"
With the boar king’s downfall, the remaining wild boars were quickly cleared.
An intense Texas boar hunting battle, perfectly concluded with the team’s tacit cooperation.
The joy of a successful hunt dispelled all the tension and fatigue.
After a brief celebration, everyone began the tense and orderly process of handling the trophies. They worked together to drag several wild boars onto the pickup, transporting them back to Buck’s slaughterhouse.
Buck and Earl were responsible for cleaning the innards, while Chad was in charge of washing, their actions were skilled and efficient!
As for Lin Yu’an, he voluntarily took on the task of cutting the pork.
His knife technique was meticulous and clever, every piece of meat cut was clean and well-prepared, retaining maximum edible value.
Earl watched Lin Yu’an’s fluid movements with surprise and praised, "Lin, your pork cutting skills look more professional than us old guys here!"
Lin Yu’an replied with a smile, "Mr. Earl, when I was in China, as a kid, my greatest joy was watching pig slaughtering, and over time I picked up some skills."
As the sun set, when the last wild boar was finally processed.
All the spoils, including several large cuts of delicious wild boar meat, a few intact wild boar skins, and the deserved organ rewards for the hunting dogs.
Buck Jones took a few bottles of chilled local craft beer from the cooler in the car and handed them out, saying heartily, "Come on! Guys! Let’s toast to our successful hunt today! And to our new friend—Lin, the ’Divine Archer’ from China, cheers!"
"Cheers!"
Everyone raised their beer bottles, producing a loud clink! The cold beer flowed down their throats, washing away all the fatigue and labor, leaving only a sense of boldness and delight.
That evening, the bonfire in Buck’s cottage was rekindled, and the air was filled with the tantalizing aroma of roasted wild boar.
Although the wild boar still had a bit of gamey taste, thankfully, this wasn’t Alone in the Wilderness but a civilized society with lots of spices to remove most of the gamey taste.
Everyone sat around the bonfire, eating meat and drinking beer while chatting about the thrills and excitement of the day’s hunt and sharing their interesting hunting stories.
Lin Yu’an, though not fond of drinking, couldn’t help but drink a few more glasses in such an enthusiastic atmosphere.
The relationship between him, Buck, Earl, and Chad quickly became closer and more harmonious in this atmosphere filled with alcohol, grilled meat, and masculine topics.
The next day, when parting, Buck firmly shook Lin Yu’an’s hand, his eyes full of sincere invitation.
"Lin! This hunt was truly exciting! I haven’t been this thrilled for ages! Next time! You should come again!"
"We’ll take on those more cunning white-tailed deer, or... challenge the Devil’s Canyon where cougars roam!"
Lin Yu’an nodded with a smile, "Mr. Buck, I’d be delighted to fight alongside you again!"
And Earl, who had always been taciturn, suddenly spoke as Lin Yu’an was about to get in the car and leave.
"Lin."
Earl’s voice remained hoarse and deep, but there was a seriousness and appreciation in his eyes that hadn’t been there before.
Earl slowly said, "Your archery skills are indeed outstanding, among the best I’ve seen."
"However, on this land, the limitations of the bow and arrow are still too great. Especially when facing truly fierce prey, a reliable rifle can often save your life."
"If you’re interested, in a few days, I can take you to a place where I know a retired gunsmith from Winchester Company."
"He still has some very rare custom classic firearms that you’ll surely love."
Upon hearing this, Earl’s proposal was like finding a pillow when sleepy for Lin Yu’an, who was planning to buy a rifle and systematically learn how to use it.
He immediately agreed, "Mr. Earl! Of course, I’m interested! Very, very interested!"
Earl’s mouth seemed to twitch slightly upward; he nodded, "Good, wait for my call in a few days."
After Lin Yu’an drove away, Buck said to Earl, "Old-timer, have you finally found a little guy you’d consider training?"
Earl looked at the bonfire without answering him immediately.
He replied only moments later, "He’s very spiritual, like a born hunter, calm and composed, humble not arrogant, with a strong sense of shooting."
"In the army, he would be a very promising sniper candidate; too bad he’s Chinese, or I’d definitely recommend him to the army."
Lin Yu’an, on the other hand, drove back to Austin, carrying the joy of a successful hunt.
By the time he returned to the cozy apartment, it was late at night, and Aliya had long since ventured into dreamland.
Lin Yu’an quietly entered the bathroom, washing away all his fatigue with a refreshing shower.
When he returned to the warm bedroom in clean and comfortable pajamas, he lay down beside Aliya.
Feeling the familiar, reassuring fragrance emanating from her, a strong, primal urge surged like a long-suppressed volcano from the depths of his heart.
The thrilling hunt these past days had made his senses exceptionally keen and eager.
Aliya’s delicately beautiful sleeping face in the moonlight acted as the most fatal catalyst, igniting all the flames in his heart.
He gently brushed away a few strands of golden hair from her cheek and then bent down to tenderly kiss her soft, slightly cool lips.
In her sleep, Aliya seemed to feel something, letting out a satisfied, soft sigh.
Then she slowly opened her captivating light green eyes.
When she recognized Lin Yu’an’s face filled with love and desire before her, a flush of shyness appeared instantly on her face.
"Darling... you... you’re back!"
Her voice carried a trace of just-awakened laziness and charm.
"Yes, I’m back, dear."
He held Aliya tightly in his arms, feeling her body’s softness and fragrance.
He whispered to her about the thrilling and stimulating experiences at Rattlesnake Farm these past days, as well as the interesting interactions with the Texan hunting friends.
Aliya listened quietly, her hand gently caressing Lin Yu’an’s chest muscles, feeling their firmness and his strong heartbeat.
When Lin Yu’an finished all the stories and the room fell into a warm silence again, he lowered his head, once more deeply kissing Aliya’s lips.
This time, the kiss went beyond a mere taste—it was filled with long-suppressed passion and desire.
The night was like ink, the moonlight like water, and the temperature in the bedroom gradually increased with their heated breaths and silent love... 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
...
After a long time, when all the passion gradually subsided.
Lin Yu’an tightly held Aliya, breathless and flushed from satisfaction, feeling the warmth of their bodies and the harmony of their souls, his heart filled with unprecedented tranquility and happiness.
