King of Assassins-Chapter 787 - 582 Bad Luck_3
The core building in this area is a fifty-story skyscraper, although it has been abandoned for an unknown amount of time.
The glass facade of the skyscraper is long since dilapidated, with various obvious signs of weathering.
According to the information, the skyscraper is the headquarters of the Wolf God Cult.
Field Team Six of Black Tiger entered through the side door of the building, with Black Tiger holding a transparent bulletproof shield at the front.
The breacher Iron Shield, however, walked at the end of the line because his body was too heavy. It wasn't necessary for him unless they encountered an impenetrable stronghold.
The tech department had already taken control of the opponents' surveillance, and guided by electronic wristbands, Black Tiger proceeded down the corridor.
It wasn't until they advanced to the first underground floor that they encountered a few people. These individuals were sallow and thin, wearing haphazard clothing, and lay languidly on chairs, half-asleep.
The team leader gave the order without hesitation: "Open fire."
Black Tiger and another assault member fired simultaneously, the sound of the silenced gunshots dull, as caseless bullets sped out of the barrels and tore open clear cavities in the bodies.
Due to the obstruction of muscles and bones, the bullets inevitably tumbled, blasting open a cavity within the body tissues before exiting, leaving a wound the size of a sea bowl on the back.
Any ordinary person hit with a shot would almost certainly die and lose all ability to move on the spot.
Black Tiger and the other shooter were experienced and did not waste ammunition. With two point-blank shots, each person was hit two to three times, blood splattering everywhere.
They didn't even have time to scream. The battle ended in an instant.
Black Tiger said in a low voice into his earpiece, "Clear."
No sooner had he spoken than a man suddenly stood up from the pool of blood.
This man had two holes in his chest, his heart, and other organs blown to pieces, yet he stood steadily, with various colored fragments continuously falling out of him.
Despite this, he stood very firmly. What's more terrifying was the green glow in his eyes, like a hungry wolf.
He let out a sudden howl, his shattered body growing layers of strong muscles, with dense black fur sprouting over them. His head elongated considerably, his mouth widening with sharp white teeth, resembling a giant wolf standing upright.
As he howled to the sky, he charged towards Black Tiger and his team.
Black Tiger and the other assault member seized the opportunity to fire, their shots precise, each point-blank bullet landing on the werewolf's head.
The werewolf was forced back, blood splattering from his head like blooming flowers. However, the bullets couldn't penetrate his skull.
Seeing this, the team members were all stunned. Such a level of mutation was extremely rare.
The sensors worn by the field personnel transmitted the front-line situation back to the command vehicle.
Wei Ying, seeing the display on the screen, hastily warned, "Be careful, this is a Wolf God Apostle. They have three levels of transformation."
The faces of Field Team Six turned grim. Rumor had it there were only two true apostles of the Wolf God, was their luck really that bad?
There was no time for discussion, and everyone opened fire together. The werewolf bounded on all fours, darting with incredible speed while constantly changing directions.
Most of the shots missed, and someone threw a concussion grenade. Unexpectedly, the werewolf accelerated suddenly, swatting the grenade back.
The concussion grenade flew back and exploded amid the crowd. The violent sound waves made Black Tiger's vision go black, and he felt dizzy as if the world were spinning, his limbs uncontrollable.
Yet the werewolf leaped forward, grabbing another assault member by the neck. The protective neck brace couldn't withstand the grab, and the member's neck was torn apart.
Black Tiger sensed danger, instinctively raising his shield to protect himself. The werewolf's long claws left four deep marks on the tempered glass, but ultimately couldn't break through the shield.
The powerful force behind the wolf's claws pushed Black Tiger away.
The werewolf no longer paid attention to Black Tiger, charging into the crowd, clawing left and right. Though savage, the werewolf was cunning, targeting weak spots in the protective gear.
There seemed to be a special force in the wolf's claws, capable of tearing the bulletproof black armor directly.
The field staff, still disoriented from the concussion grenade, were utterly powerless to resist.
In the blink of an eye, six people had their entrails ripped out, presenting a gruesome scene.
Finally, Iron Shield came to his senses, the metal muscles whirring back to life as the War Tiger Exoskeleton Armor charged fiercely into the werewolf.
The werewolf was sent flying by the impact, and Iron Shield lunged forward to deliver a powerful punch, landing squarely on the werewolf's head.
Though the werewolf's head was hard, it couldn't withstand such a powerful strike, its wolf-like head caving in like an evil wolf's.
Iron Shield, enraged, hammered down ten more times, shattering the werewolf's head completely before he finally could catch a rough breath.
Iron Shield, regaining his composure, then stood up and walked to Gao Xuan's side, "Black Tiger, how are you?"
Black Tiger struggled to stand, "I'm fine."
Iron Shield was about to speak when he suddenly saw another werewolf, with a wolf's head and human body, emerging from the depths. This werewolf held a wooden staff.
Iron Shield's eyes filled with ferocity, "Courting death."
As he was about to charge, the werewolf pointed the wooden staff at Iron Shield, "Die."
It felt as if an iron spear had pierced through Iron Shield's mind, the intense pain depriving him of the ability to think, causing him to collapse to his knees, clutching his head in agony.
The werewolf appeared a little surprised, showing a ghastly smile, "A bit of potential, submit to me and I'll spare your life."
Iron Shield, regaining some sense, heard these words and, without hesitation, turned and ran.
Driven by the metallic muscles, the War Tiger Armor crashed through three walls in succession, disappearing in no time.
The werewolf seemed a bit surprised, approaching Black Tiger with the wooden staff held high, coldly saying, "Your friend ran away, why don't you?"
On the command vehicle, Wei Ying's face was stern. Field Team Six was so incompetent. Even if the opponent was an advanced Evil God's Apostle adept at spiritual suppression, they shouldn't have crumbled so easily.
Especially the one operating the exoskeleton armor; what a waste.
However, at such a distance, that Black Tiger fellow was as good as dead.
Wei Ying's eyes showed a hint of pity for this not-so-bright individual, who was also extraordinarily unlucky...
