Kar98K Upon Touchdown!-Chapter 700 - Looking Out For Your Neighbor!
Chapter 700: Looking Out For Your Neighbor!
On the vast plains beyond the southern hills.
The roar of an engine was heard!
A two-wheeled motorcycle was seen speeding as it made its way to the little wooden house that had a red roof and yellow walls.
The motorcycle unexpectedly showed no signs of slowing down even as it neared the house. Instead, it sped up dramatically!
His hand did not let the accelerator go!
The next moment, under the watchful eyes of countless viewers!
Liu Zilang dashed up a slope and the wheels of his motorcycle left the ground. He then began to fly toward the roof of the little wooden house.
Clunk!
Screech!
The front wheel of the motorcycle hit the roof!
Still carrying inertia from the jump, the motorcycle stood on its front wheel on the roof.
Liu Zilang deftly controlled its balance. The motorcycle spun several times on one wheel as it dissipated the force of impact.
Clunk!
The next moment, the rear wheel of the motorcycle fell onto the roof and came to a stop.
“LOLOL, what an awesome show-off!”
“God on two wheels, a devil on three. I see where he got that nickname now!”
“By the way, why did Vic go up the roof? Is he planning to camp up there?”
“Ermmm the roof of the wooden house isn’t very high. Surely he won’t become a target himself?”
“…”
The exciting and risky motorcycle stunt had caused the spectators’ scalps to go numb. However, they quickly regained their composure.
After two days of the tournament, they understood Liu Zilang’s attitude. They knew that he was one who always snapped at an opportunity first.
Even in such a professional tournament, he had his show-off moments. However, every time he did, there was a deeper meaning behind it.
But his flying motorcycle to the roof…
It was a little hard to understand.
‘You can’t shoot at targets if you’re a target yourself!’ everyone thought.
Suddenly, Liu Zilang who was on the roof hopped onto his motorcycle again. He gained some speed by driving the motorcycle in an arc before driving toward the edge of the roof.
‘Is he going down already?’ Everyone’s face darkened, and the corners of their mouths twitched…
Just as the motorcycle was about to fall over the edge, Liu Zilang hopped off it again.
He glanced at the blue circle on the mountaintop and then quietly laid prone on the reverse incline of the roof.
The spectators suddenly felt a strong sense of deja vu…
From God’s perspective, Liu Zilang, as well as GodV who was lying on the bed directly below him, seemed to have the same pose!
They are two ultimate cunning b*stards!
A shiver went up the spines of the live audience members and the live stream viewers.
‘So much for showing off…
‘He’s still a cunning old b*stard in the end!’
On the commentary platform.
“Ahem… it’s interesting how 4AM is playing this out. GodV and Vic have somehow ended up in the same place.”
“I don’t think it’s ‘ending up in the same place together’ with Vic corrupting the image of 4AM. Don’t you think that GodV’s stance looks somewhat familiar?”
“Oh… I remember now! In the Asian Preliminaries, Vic brought GodV to lie on the bed of one of the Twelve Golden Palaces.”
“Heheh, so Vic is really corrupting GodV. So what now? GodV surely knows someone is on top of him, but Vic might not know that someone is under him.”
“Instead of that… how about we place our concerns on whoever might enter the wooden house soon.”
“I can’t imagine what will happen if someone actually discovers the house and enters it…”
“…”
The worries shared by the commentators were not unfounded. After a short while, many players were seen running from beyond the safe zone.
Most of the players were passers-by, and they had no intention of occupying the unassuming wooden house.
As time passed and the second blue circle started shrinking, the bullet screen of the live-stream channel started to get busy.
“Seems like Vic and GodV waited for nothing!”
“Serves them right! I hate cunning b*stards like them!”
As the caster’s camera panned across them once more, a silhouette appeared from beyond the safe zone. It was seen running toward them.
The eyes of viewers from all over the world converged on him…
“It’s Aluka!” someone on the commentary platform cried out in surprise.
Everyone took a closer look. Who was it, if not for Aluka from 4AM?
The live Western audience members did not find anything out of the ordinary. However, the spectators in the Chinese live-stream channel were shocked silly. The bullet screen exploded with activity!
“F*ck me… so someone has taken the bait after all!”
“It’s not just ‘someone’, it’s one of their own!”
“Bahaha, is this reality TV?”
“That’s an awkward place to have a family reunion!”
“…”
At the start of the match, Aluka touched down at Pochinki. He survived the battle of wits and skills in the twisting alleys of that town
Needless to say, there was a lot of blood on his hands.
In solo tournaments, many players would start to feel full of themselves once they began racking up their kill count. To them, it felt like they were ‘in the zone’.
They felt like they could kill anyone!
However, they usually neglected one problem. It was important for a player in professional FPS tournaments to be ‘in the zone’. However, at the same time, they could not rely on ‘the zone’ too much.
Relying on it too much meant that they could be sent to an early grave because of it itself.
Aluka was not one who ever became full of himself. The kills that he scored after touching down at Pochinki did not make him arrogant but instead cleared his head.
He strived for stability throughout the match, going as far as staking out a spot at the edge of the safe zone every time.
At this time, his mind was set on the little wooden house that had a red roof and yellow walls.
He observed his surroundings as he ran.
Not long after, Aluka neared the house.
The door to the wooden house was closed, and it did not look like there was anyone inside. Aluka was not careless, though. He peeked through one of the windows and then fired a few shots inside as if he had discovered someone within.
The house was still quiet as usual.
‘Looks like no one’s inside,’ Aluka thought to himself, ‘I’ll just stake it out here until the circle refreshes.’
Creak!
Aluka pushed open the wooden door; first aid kit and an energy drink came into view.
He thought that there could be something else of value inside and started his search.
Very quickly, he found himself in front of the bedroom door.
Aluka pushed open the bedroom door. In front of him was someone lying on the bed. That person had his gun aimed at him!
‘F*ck!’
Aluka immediately reacted.
While the muzzle of his opponent’s gun flashed, he did not retaliate. Instead, he swiftly closed the bedroom door.
Splinters flew as bullets hit the bedroom door. At the same time, Liu Zilang who was on the roof stood up and then dashed toward the fight in great strides.
He was as excited as a husband who had pretended to have gone out of town for work but instead had hidden in the closet to catch his neighbor in his bedroom…
