[And it looks like we have ourselves a battle brewing!] Razorstella noted with glee. [Place your bets. How badly is our guys going to trounce these losers?]

[Oh? Don't you think they have a chance in beating Olstenna, Alice, and Antonio?] Springerdermain asked, serving as the serious contrarian.

[No way in this world or the next,] Screamira answered. [Look, the cat's son is about to cause people's jaws to drop.]

[How's he going to do that?]

[By cracking this motherfucker's jaw!]

...

[Slicing Wind!]

^Antonio!^

In the blink of an eye, the attacking prisoner activated their [Regalia] and drew a sword coated in Aeroqi aether that he promptly aimed at Antonio's neck.

The goal of this assailant was to land a demoralizing blow against this mercenary group by killing the warrior they assumed to be a mere rookie, at least judging from their aether cultivation.

Under normal circumstances, an Aether Master would definitely die when they were the target of an Aether Grandmaster, especially when the gap between them was between the middle tier of the former and the elite tier of the latter. If someone were to compare such a gap to a real hole, that hole would be the size of a ten-mile canyon.

Antonio, though, was anything but a normal aether warrior.

'Huh...'

This blade coated in wind was indeed faster than what any normal Aether Master would be able to see. However, in Antonio's eyes, this blade was significantly slower than the punches that the kaijin would throw at each other during their sparring sessions.

As such, moments before the blade could make contact with his skin, Antonio managed to dodge out of the way.

Much to the shock of everyone who wasn't his comrade.

"Whoa!"

"How the hell did he avoid that?!"

"He got lucky! There's no way he's going to avoid Master Yuden's next attack."

"Spineless git!"

Antonio had avoided the attack by bending backwards as if he had no spine holding him up, hence the insult.

However, just because the first attack missed didn't mean that Yuden was done with his assault.

Following the motion of his strike, Yuden proceeded to spin in place before bringing his blade down in the form of a chopping attack.

[Cyclone Chop!]

Knowing better than to allow the attack to break his ribs open, Antonio proceeded to counterattack.

Twisting himself into a pretzel, reinforcing his bones and ligaments with [Chaos] and aether so that nothing would break or snap, Antonio launched a kick towards Yuden's head.

Normally, such a move would be less than useless in a match between an Aether Master and a [Regalia]-wearing Grandmaster.

Crack!

"What the fuck?!"

"How?!"

Which is why everyone in the room, except Olstenna and Alice, was shocked to see Antonio crack Yuden's face with a side kick.

"Ha!"

Using the fact that Yuden was still stunned by the kick to their face, Antonio curled back his legs and launched a leaping back kick into his opponent's abdomen in order to push them away.

Antonio, however, did not leave this gap open for long.

"We aren't done yet!" 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Riding the high of his counterattack, Antonio charged forward while coating his hands in [Chaos] and aether, forming claw-like structures. Unleashing a flurry of scratching strikes, Antonio was somehow able to force the opposing Grandmaster to go on the defensive.

"How the hell are you cutting through my [Regalia]?!"

"Fuck you, that's how!"

Now, this would've been the perfect time for the other three Grandmasters to get involved and take down Antonio since he was essentially throwing himself into the fray...but they didn't do that. Instead, they allowed their pride and arrogance to blind them to this obvious advantage for the sake of earning some glory. In other words, they made moves to attack Olstenna and Alice instead. Although, they did briefly discuss the unusual abilities that Antonio had showcased in this moment.

"How the fuck did he do that?!"

"Who cares?! Just smash their skulls in!"

Despite seeing their ally getting pushed back, this didn't stop the others from trying to rush in for their own attacks.

[Blazing Claw!]

[Corpse Hammer!]

[Iron Breaker!]

One by one, the other Grandmasters activated their [Regalia] and rushed towards the remaining two warriors.

The cheetah Bloodliner known as Chamkana attempted to launch his own blazing claw kick towards Alice's neck in order to decapitate her, while Skullcracker and the Rotten Hammer Grandmaster aimed heavy fists towards Olstenna's face in an attempt to crush his skull.

Under the influence of their specific aether arts, Skullcracker's fist resembled an iron sculpture, while the Rotten Hammer's attack looked as if a thousand strips of rotten flesh were calcified under a single lump.

If this coordinated assault landed on Olstenna, his skull wouldn't just be pulverized; it would've been reduced to dust.

Keyword: if.

"Try me, jackass!"

"Ha!"

Before Alice's neck could get sliced open, she summoned her scythe-like [Astra] and swung it upwards, catching Chamkana's leg before it could make contact.

"Fuck off, you shitty cheetah!" Alice roared as she countered against Chamkana's attack.

In one fluid motion, Alice swung the scythe upwards and slammed Chamkana into the ground directly behind her. Immediately after, she dismissed the scythe to free up her movements and then immediately resummoned it so that she could swing it directly into Chamkana's abdomen.

However, this swing had turned out to be a rather...questionable idea.

[Iron Vice!]

CRUNCH!

"Oh?"

Alice had swung the scythe with the expectation of piercing Chamkana's stomach with her blade, but the cheetah-like Bloodliner had an unexpected trick up his sleeve; that is to say, he had an interesting trick built into his gut.

Before the scythe could pierce him, Chamkana's abdomen opened up like a bear trap and trapped the scythe's blade with its teeth. Sensing the power behind this odd trick, Alice understood that if she was using a normal weapon or an aether treasure below the Silver tier, it would've shattered in an instant.

Chamkana was all set to taunt Alice for failing to cut through him, how he had gone through painstaking effort to install the Silver tier aether treasure known as the [Steel Jaw of Kabhanda] into himself, but Alice beat him to the punch on all of that by wildly swinging her scythe into the ground like he was a whack-a-mole hammer.

"GET OFF YOU FREAKY FUCK!"

"OOF! GAH!"

Feeling that using just brute force wasn't going to be enough to get Chamkana to release his jaws, Alice began to channel more of her aether into her [Astra], causing it to become a touch more...caustic.

"Let's see how long until your jaw melts!"

...

At the same time as all of this was happening, Olstenna had summoned his [Regalia] and channeled his aether treasure flames into his arms, catching both of the hammering blows. Vicious purple and black flames burned brightly around Olstenna's arms and pushed back against the attacks reeking of rot and rust.

"What the fuck? Two aether treasure flames?!" Skullcracker cried in alarm.

"Wait a minute...I recognize this flame!" the Rotten Hammer Grandmaster screamed in alarm at the sight of Olstenna's arms. "Why the hell are one of you motherfuckers working as a—"

[Hellfire Burst!]

Instead of allowing this impromptu questioning to occur, Olstenna released a blast of aether flames that pushed back both of the attacking Grandmasters, causing aether fire to cling to their [Regalia].

Olstenna wasn't done yet.

"Get over here!"

Taking a page out of Alice's book, Olstenna grabbed Skullcracker by his fucked-up arm and began to channel aether flames into his arm in order to accelerate his swing and slam the bastard into the Rotten Hammer Grandmaster.

If the two warriors weren't wearing their [Regalia] at this point in time, Skullcracker's arm would've been shattered into dust, while the Rot Hammer Grandmaster would've had his rib cage jammed into his lungs.

Instead, Olstenna had to settle for having the two warriors being sent flying towards a wall.

"Fly away!"

But before the two warriors could make contact, they managed to release enough aether to stop their momentum and go back on the offensive.

"Fuck!"

"How the hell did this bastard manage to push us back like that?!" Skullcracker grumbled while stomping forward and preparing to launch another attack with his overgrown arm.

"I don't know, and I don't care! Aim between his legs!" the Rotten Hammer Grandmaster replied as he began to condense death aether in preparation for his own attack.

Unfortunately, these two weren't going to have the chance to do so.

"Oh no, you fucking don't!"

Olstenna wasn't the defensive type of warrior; he was the offensive type.

As such, while Skullcracker and the Rotten Hammer Grandmaster were still in the midst of preparing to attack, Olstenna launched himself forward in a burst of black flames before slamming a pair of open palms against the bottoms of their jaws.

To make sure that attack was extra painful, Olstenna made sure to release an explosion of purple flames against both of their jaws.

...

[Well, damn. Looks like these guys are absolutely fucked.]

[Told you.]
