Kaijin Fighter: So I Have to Make Monsters, So What?-Chapter 1223: Glass Leader: Blue
Meanwhile, in the hall of Glass Warriors...
[Hellfire Hammer!]
[Crushing Shell Strike!]
[Boulder Cutting Claw!]
Crash!
Shatter!
Schwing!
For the past five minutes or so, Olstenna, Lythero and Antonio were under attack.
The statues that gave the [Hall of Glass Warriors] it’s name were coming to life one after the other and were relentlessly attacking in the way that only artificial warriors could.
This was both a good and bad thing.
Good in the sense that the attacks and movements of these glass warriors were incredibly predictable. It didn’t matter how weird they looked or what weapons they wielded, all of these glass warrior statues mindlessly charged forward and swung their weapons in ways that were devastatingly heavy but also easy to dodge.
However, this was also a bad thing because it made the warriors present realize something important yet ominous about these glass warriors.
There was a very high possibility that these glass bastards were nothing more than the prologue/minions to something even more dangerous living in this hall.
However, they couldn’t really spend that much time thinking about this implication when they were in the middle of fighting about a hundred or so glass warrior statues.
Eventually though, they managed to shatter or melt the last of them.
"Was...was that finally the last of them?," Antonio asked.
"I think so," Olstenna answered. "But keep your guards up regardless. Something about this situation rubs me the wrong way."
"Well, that was absolutely terrible,", Lytheot sighed." I feel exhausted."
"Me too."
"Me as well."

Part of the reason why the trio were exhausted after fighting these strange glass warriors, was due to the fact that three glass bastards were oddly immune to attacks that weren’t proper aether arts.
During the assault the trio had attempted to get away with simple aether empowered attacks, understanding that continuously using their abilities would just lead to them being eventually drained of aether. However, the moment their simple attack landed, the glass statues oddly felt even harder than slab of tempered steel.
Evidently, this odd property made it impossible for the zako to provide assistance as well, so the minute embodiment of [Chaos] opted to hide away.
In other words, the warriors were forced to go big or go home.
And unfortunately for them, they were about to be forced to go even bigger than before.
As the trio were in the middle of catching their breaths and attempting to recover their aether, a malicious aura suddenly appeared and began to press down on the group like heavy rain during winter.
Once they noticed this threat, all three of them quickly went into defensive postures and directed their attention towards the source of this malice, the pool of water in the center of the hall.
This actually would’ve been the part where they would run away to fight another day, because while growing as a warrior and acquiring treasure was important, being alive long enough to make use of such things was more important.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t.
Even if two out of three of them had the power of an Aether Lord, the sheer amount of malice and aether pressing down on them made it nearly impossible for them to move.
Meaning, they were forced to stand there and watch as something that seemed to exist only in their nightmares started lifting itself up out of the pool in the central portion of the hall.
"Holy..."
"Shit..."
The first thing they noticed coming out of the pool were a pair of massive, yet spindly arms that resembled those of a giant skeleton.
Unlike the bleached white bones of normal skeletons though, these skeletal arms were dark and covered in a variety of colorful patterns and figures that seemed to carry this sacred, primordial energy to it.
"This feeling! It’s not [Chaos], is it?!," Antonio asked in alarm.
Despite having been given the rundown on [Chaos] and it’s weird properties, Antonio still wasn’t that familiar with the stuff. Thankfully,
"No, it doesn’t feel like [Chaos]," Lythero said with certainty. "It’s definitely aether, it’s just...old."
"Incredibly old," Olstenna added.
Shortly after making this observation, the body those arms were attached to started to lift itself out of the water.
A torso rose first, with a ribcage that had been etched with those same carvings from the arms but covered in a series of necklaces that radiated with an energy that reminded the trio of a burning hot summer’s day.
Then came the head, a skull wearing a warrior’s headdress that was decorated with ghostly feathers that seemed to sway and move to an invisible wind.
But the thing that attracted the attention of the frozen trio as they stared at this rising giant skeletal monster, was this strange mirror in the center of its forehead.
While they weren’t entirely sure what to make of this mirror, they could sense that a deep and ancient power was dwelling inside of it.
Once the skeleton had extracted it’s head, torso and arms out of the pool, it’s mouth began to move and released a deep, haunting voice.
[Who...dares?]
"Oh fuck, it talks."
[Who...dares...to enter...my domain...and challenges my...immortal warriors?,] the skeleton elaborated.
"Say what?"
As soon as this statement was made, the destroyed glass warriors that Lythero, Olstenna and Antonio had spent great effort destroying, started pulling themselves back together...in some cases.
Some of the warriors were shattered into pieces and then began to literally pull themselves back together, while others were cleanly cut and began to glue themselves back into solid wholes.
The most absurd of these destroyed glass bastards were the ones that had essentially melted, so the sight of them remelting back into cohesive statues was mildly upsetting to see, to say the least.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!"
Correction, Olstenna was absolutely fucking livid at the sight of all the glass warriors he melted suddenly restoring themselves.
Regardless, once all the glass warriors had restored themselves, the trio found themselves to be surrounded.
However, the warriors didn’t go on the attack or hold them hostage.
Instead, they just stood there in a menacing manner, their weapons drawn but not pointed at anyone.
Evidently, it gave off the feeling that these warriors had complete faith in their leader.
Speaking of, the giant skeleton with a mirror in its forehead began to look down towards Olstenna, Lythero and Antonio, it’s hollow eyes shining with a strange light that seemed to pierce into their souls. Needless to say, this light caused the warriors to shudder.
[Hmmm, how... interesting,] the skeleton hummed after looking over the group one by one. [An Aetherii berseker, a human swordsman and...oh?]
Once the skeleton had focused his vision on Antonio, the light in his eyes took on a different hue. A hue that was very similar to the energy produced by a certain "puppet master".
[You look like a human, but the energy in your veins...it is one of the Primalborn,] the skeleton said with piqued curiosity. [In fact...I think I sense one of them...here!]
BAM!
"GRRR! GRRR!"
"OH BALLS!"
The moment Lythero and the others were rendered frozen scared, the zako accompanying them had attempted to escape in order to get help. Unfortunately, before it could do so, the giant skeleton had reached out and grabbed him.
The moment the zako was grabbed, the trio could see that the [Chaos] inside it was working overtime to try and dispell the aether empowered hand that was holding it. Unfortunately, it was to no avail.
As quickly as the aether was dispelled, it was replaced at the same rate.
[I see...so the legacy has been passed,] the skeleton said in a voice that sounded a bit more firm than it did a moment ago. [And I suppose that makes you three the bearer’s allies?]
"Uh..."
Unsure of what was going on at this point, the trio simply shrugged and nodded.
[I see...in that case. Warriors?]
Once they were given the orders, the glass warriors simply repositioned themselves to surround them, as if they were making a makeshift arena.
At the same time, Lytheor, Olstenna and Antonio became enshrouded in a strange blue light.
...Meanwhile, in a hidden portion of the hall...
"And you two thought I was a coward for wanting to hang back a bit after the glass warriors were all defeated."
"Alright, I’m a big enough person to admit I’m wrong when I’m wrong. However, you have to admit that none of us were able to detect whatever the hell that thing is."
"Ye-wait a minute...why are you glowing like those rubes down there?"
"Eh?"
"Wait, why are we re-"
Zwip!
...Now back to the skeleton...
Zwip!
"What the fuck?!"
"Who the hell are you guys?"
"Wait a minute... they’re Silver-tongues!"
Then shortly after this weird blue highlight appeared, three more warriors enshrouded in a red highlight appeared.
[I was going to originally kill everyone in this room for disturbing my slumber, but it had been ages since I had a proper tribute,] the skeleton said as he began to lounge back in the pool.
[But in respect to the one who walks between the worlds, I instead offer you three a chance. Entertain me, the Blue Mirror of War and be rewarded. Otherwise...well, I don’t need to explain the rest, do I?]
