Jyera World Apocalypse-Chapter 91: The Strongest Jyrean
Marco, the leader of the survivor group in the commercial building, didn't realise how close his group had come to disaster. Even though most people here wouldn't be attacked by the level 3 winter zombie, due to the biological alterations made by Anna's ability, there were still many "normal" humans among them, and the damage caused by the cold would still be the same for everyone inside the building if they were attacked.
At that moment, he was inside a simple, familiar female bedroom. There was a bed, a bookshelf with some books, a desk and chair, a desktop computer, and only the paintings and decorations were missing, having been taken by the place's owner. He remembered helping the astronaut Anna organise this room, right after they defeated and took over this commercial building from some escaped prisoners.
Whenever he missed his friend, Marco would come to this place to look at the familiar objects. He smiled at the sight of all the furniture and its arrangement; Anna had demanded that everything here be done to the smallest detail she had requested…
Approaching the bedroom window, which was almost completely blocked from the inside and out, Marco removed the curtain and saw through the few cracks in the glass the enormous blizzard outside; he could feel the terrible cold coming from outside, even with the building's powerful heating system. According to his memories of the first apocalypse, this terrible winter not only covered the city of Kaelor, but all of Jyera, and he suspected that Jyor as well…
His smile fading, Marco sighed:
"It's been two months since Anna left for the planet Jyor, and she hasn't contacted me since. Something terrible must have happened. I shouldn't nurture empty hopes…"
As Marco lamented, his eyes widened as he sensed a terrifying aura. For most people who had just become mutants, this type of aura was unknown; it manifested as chills, a dry mouth, a shiver, and a strong feeling of fear. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
But for Marco, who in the previous apocalypse had become an experienced Level 3 mutant and encountered many powerful figures, that particular aura was very familiar…
It was the aura of one of the most powerful mutant humans ever seen in the first apocalypse; he was one of the few who reached Level 4 in Jyera, and also an old friend of his, Lorenzo Rivero.
"Has Lorenzo finally recovered from his illness? Why is he so furious? Did something happen in their building? Unfortunately, I can't do anything to help in the middle of this blizzard. But with Lorenzo in that building, everything should be alright…"

When Lorenzo's eyes fell upon the level 3 winter zombie, and he unleashed a powerful killing intent, the monster even stopped breathing. The fear already felt for the man intensified to the point that it began to tremble uncontrollably. And before it could speak or think, one of its arms began to wrinkle and age, but it wasn't as if time was advancing extremely quickly; it was more as if it were losing all the vitality of that limb.
"Crack"
"ARGHH"
In less than 8 seconds, the arm wrinkled and dried up completely, before cracks sounded from the bones, causing immense pain to the level 3 zombie. He screamed as he watched his right arm disappear, turning to dust before his eyes and scattering in the wind.
Lorenzo, who was already standing in the room, finally relaxed his killing intent a little after causing great pain to the zombie that had invaded his house and injured his son.
With another wave of his hand, the icy air stopped entering the destroyed apartment, as if the place had a barrier preventing the blizzard from outside from getting in. At the same time, Lucien's frozen body floated very slowly to his side, the ice on his body melting quickly, but Lucien remained unconscious. He was then guided by some kind of invisible force and landed gently on Lorenzo's bed.
"ARGHH"
The zombie with bluish skin screamed again in pain; his remaining arm had wrinkled, causing him extreme pain and agony before finally being obliterated, turning to dust again.
Immediately afterwards, the feline, Mr Mustache, floated from the lower floors of the partially destroyed building where he had fallen, and landed beside Lucien's bed. The hibernating creature had suffered some injuries and had partially awakened, but under the effects of the ice and a mysterious force, it soon closed its eyes again, recovering from its injuries and returning to hibernation as if nothing had happened.
What happened next would shock anyone who witnessed the scene; it was like a true miracle! The entire apartment began to be repaired; it was as if time was rewinding, and everything that had broken inside, from the floor to the walls and furniture, was returning to its original place as if nothing had happened. While this happened, the zombie continued to suffer and be tortured by an invisible force, losing internal organs, wings, and even its legs. In the end, only its torso and head remained...
Finally, with everything restored, Lorenzo moved to what remained of the zombie and stepped with his bare foot on its skull, killing it instantly. But instead of the blood spreading and staining the apartment floor, the zombie's entire body vanished into thin air, turning to dust, leaving only a bright red crystal the size of a grape.
The crystal floated to Lucien's body and disappeared, entering his inventory.
Lorenzo then stared blankly into space, as if reading something, a rather familiar scene that Lucien always repeated. He sighed and, in a deep, calm voice, spoke words that would have shocked Lucien if he had woken up:
"To think that a mere level 3 zombie would interrupt my rest. I still don't have enough power to do many things…"
While sighing and looking at Lucien, Lorenzo continued:
"Hm, I understand, Lucien's system was trying to repair the incomplete communication system... This is my fault, there were many problems, and your mother and I couldn't finish all the preparations and functions that should have been there… But something is very wrong. Where are the other System Holders?"
Lorenzo began waving his hand in the air as if flipping through an invisible book, and then started repeating some phrases with very strong emotions:
"The Survival is dead? Those bastards really went too far… It's my fault that his system was missing its main ability, after all, I used parts of his system to strengthen Creation…"
"Vanguard and Sentinel aren't in Jyera anymore? They're so far away I can barely sense their directions… You two should be here protecting people from the troublesome zombies and what's coming in the second and third climate shifts. Where did you go?"
"Meanwhile, Symbiosis went to Jyor but found disaster; her situation is critical…"
After the last sentence, Lorenzo looked at the photo of his wife on one of the shelves in the room, and lowered his gaze while murmuring, full of lament and sadness:
"What a disaster… Darling, I know I made you many promises regarding our son, but I will still need to depend on him for a while longer. Besides, it's time for him to know the truth…"
With these final words, Lorenzo waved one last time with both hands:
One hand made a pincer-like gesture and pointed to his head, removing a globe of light, which was then inserted into the head of the unconscious Lucien; his second hand moved Lucien's body back to the armchair where he had been sitting and had just finished dinner.
After that, Lorenzo lay down again on his bed, returning to his sleep.
Ten minutes later, Lucien woke up startled, searching for the threat that had invaded his apartment, but soon realised it had all been just a nightmare…
Checking and confirming that his father and Mr Mustache were indeed alright, Lucien turned off the lights and returned to his room, falling into a deep sleep after the tiring day. After sleeping, he began to have dreams that were vivid memories of his own experiences in the first apocalypse…
