Just A Daoist Who Occasionally Kicks Ass-Chapter 428: A Master of Oral Technique in the Temple!
In just a breath or two, the calm and ruthless swordsman had walked right to the gates of death. If he hadn’t been so decisive and merciless with himself, he would have been nothing more than a corpse by now. Even so, he was left extremely weak, as the massive blood loss left this once-strong martial artist pale, with trembling hands and feet.
The burly youth, the middle-aged feng shui master, and the seductive woman all turned pale at the same time. Unanimously, they dropped their meditation cushions to the ground.
The burly youth and the woman were unharmed, but the feng shui master had three or four grotesque blood vessels stuck to his abdomen. He turned pale with fright, panic surging through him.
“Help me!” he shouted desperately at the woman.
As a feng shui master who killed and trapped others using geomantic techniques, he didn’t carry any sharp weapons. The seductive woman reacted swiftly, drawing from her bosom a thin, cicada-wing-like short blade, and sliced at once.
The terrifying blood vessels, along with a chunk of flesh from the feng shui master’s abdomen, were cut away cleanly, and blood and tissue flew everywhere.
The feng shui master was not as ruthless as the swordsman; perhaps he was cruel to others, but now a large chunk of his own belly flesh had been cut off. His face paled in pain with sweat pouring from his forehead in big beads, and within moments he became extremely weak.
Suddenly, the woman leaned over him, lying atop the master, and began licking with her flexible tongue. This turn of events shocked everyone. This woman really knew how to play! 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
But within two seconds, the wound on the feng shui master’s abdomen vanished, rapidly healing itself. Watching this, everyone was utterly dumbfounded. What on earth just happened?
Still, the feng shui master’s legs were shaky, and the woman supported him.
Meanwhile, the swordsman was using a wound-healing medicine to stop his own bleeding. Seeing this, his eyes flickered. This woman’s tongue isn’t normal!
Li Yanchu’s mouth twitched slightly; this method of healing was truly unusual. Fortunately, she saved the feng shui master. If she had tried to heal the swordsman, who had injured his butt, the scene would have been too shocking to watch.
The burly youth could no longer endure the bizarre scene, the strange killing method, the blood-sucking floor and meditation cushions... Even this normally fearless demonic monk felt chilled to the bone, and he turned to run! Not every ruthless killer, who treated life as worthless, could truly disregard their own life and death. At least, this burly youth was not that kind.
But the moment his foot stepped out of the room, the bell inside the Daoist temple suddenly grew louder and faster. The burly youth let out a shrieking “Ah!”, clutching his head as he fell to the ground. He then rolled violently, as if enduring immense pain.
Yet for the others, this bell was only slightly heavier than before. This youth was still somewhat cautious; after falling, he immediately rolled to protect himself, and grabbed the string of prayer beads from his wrist, holding them firmly in his hands just in case he was attacked by someone else.
One had to admit, his swift, smooth actions just now had indeed worked. The jianghu swordsman withdrew his hidden weapon, and the feng shui master also put away the bag of glutinous rice, keeping their composure without showing a sign of panic.
Although both of them were pale, and the feng shui master was even weaker physically, the feng shui master’s mental state and aura were far more stable. Even the ruthless swordsman could not help but envy this, as the master had a woman nearby who knew some oral techniques.
At this time, the burly youth breathed heavily while leaning against the corner, recovering his cultivation.
Watching the subtle moves of these people, Li Yanchu smirked inwardly. On the surface, everyone seemed calm and carefree, but in reality, they were always ready to strike when the opportunity came.
Through the burly youth’s ordeal, Li Yanchu realized that the temple seemed to have a rule: Once you enter, you are not allowed to leave easily!
Thinking this, Li Yanchu strode forward with Zhang Wei, walking into the rear chamber under the watchful eyes of everyone present. The fact that the feng shui master could come out of the rear chamber suggested it was temporarily safe, or at least low in danger. Since they were already here, they might as well go in and investigate.
Inside the rear chamber, thick layers of dust covered everything, making it appear desolate and dilapidated. The only notable feature was a statue of a celestial maiden holding a vase, smiling faintly, her gaze fixed on the entrance.
In front of the statue was a table, covered in thick dust. Judging from the marks, something had once been placed there, but had now been removed.
Could it be that feng shui master’s doing? Li Yanchu narrowed his eyes.
He and Zhang Wei carefully searched the room, and after confirming there was nothing worth taking, Zhang Wei wanted to leave. “Daoist Master Cao Cao, it seems the Peach Talisman isn’t here. This celestial maiden statue is somewhat eerie; perhaps we should leave.”
Zhang Wei felt uneasy inside the temple, as some details didn’t match the records left by his family elders. Based on his experience, such statues are usually problematic, especially the ones that appear perfectly normal.
“In a Daoist temple without portraits of the Three Pure Ones or of the Land Immortals, with the main hall dominated by a dragon-headed bird-bodied deity and a celestial maiden statue in the rear, I feel this celestial maiden statue is even more sinister!”
Li Yanchu’s eyes glimmered with magical light as he stared at the life-sized celestial maiden statue. Unfortunately, the temple had a strange suppressive force, so even he could not discern any clues.
Seeing that Daoist Master Cao Cao’s thoughts aligned with his own, Zhang Wei became even more convinced that something was wrong here, and the two of them retreated together.
The swordsman, wearing the straw hat, did not stay in one place to await death, but kept searching the main hall. The meditation cushion was too strange; though it could block the curse of the paintings, it could also kill the person using it, and they needed new objects to resist the curse.
Meanwhile, the middle-aged feng shui master and the mature beauty were also searching quietly.
Li Yanchu noticed that the feng shui master’s chest had a noticeable bulge. It was obvious he was carrying something.
The bell rang irregularly, and even the handsome scholar with rosy lips and pearly white teeth was searching around. After all, everyone had risked entering this mysterious temple in search of treasure.
The swordsman found a pair of shoes, yes, the type commonly worn by Daoist priests. Meanwhile, the mature beauty found a stone bead. These items were not easy to spot.
At this time, the handsome scholar was standing in front of one wall of the temple, feeling around for something. The only one not participating was the burly youth, who sat on the floor pale and silent.
Everyone was extremely wary of this strange temple, as no one knew whose image would appear next when the bell rang.
At that moment, the bell tolled. The hoarse, deep sound made everyone’s hearts shudder involuntarily; it was like a signal summoning death itself!
