She was in the kitchen when she saw Petal walking towards the mansion entrance, And what she saw only provided that the both of them are already in love, But Petal was the one who was denying her feelings.

Looking at the old photo from, Lana smiled, This picture had been taking a long time ago before her husband died, At the time Ethan, Issack, Noah and Alice were still young, Her sister Sofia was there too, Unlike now at that time the two sisters were always together, Doing everything together, But after the what her husband did things changed.

Lana missed the time that she and her sister used to spend, But right now there is no way to fix what has been broken and make things get to what they used to, But she thought that no harm in trying.

Picking the phone, Lana called her sister, After the third ring, The call was picked up.

"Lana." Her sister answered.

"Sofia, How are you?" Lana asked.

Lana heard her sister sighed before she replied.

"I’m doing good, What about you and the girl that you have seemed to adopt?" Sofia asked in a sarcastic tone.

Lana shook her head hopelessly at her sister’s choice of words.

"I’m doing good, And Petal too, She is a sweet girl, Sofia, You should meet her when you have the time." Lana replied.

"Hmm, I will, So what’s this call about? Do you want something" Sofia asked, knowing that Lana had called her for a reason?

"Well, Yes, I called to invite you over for dinner, You and Noah." Lana said hoping that her sister will not refuse.

Sofia stayed silent for a moment thinking before she replied.

"Alright, I will come."

"Thank you, Sofia." Lana side before both of them ended the call.

"A family dinner?" Alice kitchens her mother looking at her with a confused look.

"Yes, Is there a problem?" Her mother replied and asked her back.

"No, It’s just too sudden." Alice replied wondering if her aunt agreed to come to the dinner just so she could create problems.

Lana finished signing the document in her hands and closed the file.

"Nothing is sudden, I already told Ethan and Issac and they agreed, So if you have any plans for tonight, Mum." She said as she stood up.

Alice pressed her lips together, thinking about something.

"I don’t have any plans for tonight. Is Petal going to attend the dinner too?" Careful not to make her mother suspect anything.

"Of course, It will be rude to not invite her, She is part of the family now." Lana replied.

Petal was in the garden playing with dogs. The five dogs were so excited to see their favorite new friend. They kept on happily shak to their tails from side to side from the moment they saw her.

Ethan’s five dogs, Are well-trained, To see them Playing with Petal like this, one would suspect that they are trained.

They are two husky couples, Two Cane Corso couples, and one great Dane dog and the five of them are in love with Petal.

It’s been almost eight months since Petal came here and no one understands why the dogs became attached to Petal the moment they saw her.

Lana said that the dogs can sense the disabilities that Pedals are surfing from that’s why they are attached to her.

Petal was sitting on the grass with the five dogs creating a circle around her. It was a funny poison and she took out her phone to take a picture of them.

Petal doesn’t want to show it so the other dogs won’t be jealous, But her favorite was the male great dane, She was drowned to its beautiful color and how huge he is. He is so tall that he almost reaches her height.

Also maybe she likes him more because he is alone, Unlike the other two dogs who have partners.

Stroking the dogs’ heads one after another, Petal smiled, Having a dog friend is an amazing thing. Let alone five of them. They didn’t lie when they said that they are human best friends.

It was three in the afternoon when Ethan activated back at the mansion, he was walking towards the guest house when he saw Petal sitting on the ground with the dogs.

Looking around him, He noticed that there was no one around. The maids were busy cleaning the inside of the mansion by this time. Making sure that no one was around, Ethan made his way towards her but he stopped in his tracks when he saw the sight in front of him.

His dogs were literally sitting around her in a circle As if they were protecting her, He smiled seeing how happy she was as she patted their heads gently.

Petal looked at the time and noticed that she had spent too much time with the dogs. She tried to stand up but her legs were numb from sitting with folded legs for a long time and she ended up falling on her butt.

The dogs immediately became alarmed and took a proactive position and she suddenly became scared. Petal didn’t understand that they were protecting her because they thought that she was hurt.

Seeing the situation she was in, Ethan, Walked towards them. He didn’t think that she was that clumsy, But it’s the perfect situation for him to make his entry.

Petal saw Ethan coming towards them and she frowned. She noticed how the dogs turned to look at him and they immediately stepped back from Petal.

"Sit." He ordered them with a strict voice and they immediately sat down.

"Are you hurt?" Ethan asked, knowing that she is alright.

Petal shocked her head and was about to stand up when she saw him offer his hand to her and she took it.

Taking a hold of her hand, Ethan effortlessly pulled her up as she waited for nothing.

"When you fall on the ground, They are trying to protect you, That’s why they become alarmed." Ethan explained to her and she looked at the dogs and nodded her head.

"Thank you." She said signaling.

Ethan smiled and gave her a small nod, Returning his smile, Petal started to walk towards the mansion.

After she left, Ethan stared at his hand that held hers just moments ago. The moment he touched her, It felt like a wave of elasticity went through his body. Her hands were so soft, Pale in color, and small in size.

Ethan closed his eyes and sighed, He felt like a teenager with the rush of emotions that was happening inside of him every time he saw her.

When it was near dinner time, Petal prepared herself. She wanted to try and skip this dinner, but Lana insisted that she needed to come.

After wearing her dress, She sat in front of the dressing table and started to comb her hair, and tugged it up. She wore a simple green dress for the evening making sure to not overdress and didn’t put any makeup on and let her face look natural.

Petal sighed as she stood up, She was nervous to attend this dinner, Ethan will be there and she was scared that she would do anything that will give her away.

She thought that it’s best to sit beside Alice, This way she will be more comfortable.

Downstairs, Ethan and Issac were the first ones to arrive. They sat in the living room waiting for everyone to arrive.

"So, Have talked to Petal? A little bird told you that she came to you the other day." Issac asked his brother.

Ethan turned to look at Isaac, Irritated by the fact that he was watching him and his every move.

"She came to offer a peace deal between us. She wants to end the conflict and move on." He replied.

Hearing this, Issac’s curiosity picked up.

"And what did you say?" He asked, wanting to know more.

"I agreed, Although I feel that she offered that because she feels scared and threatened by me." Ethan said feeling angry at the thought that she is scared of him.

"That’s normal, After what you did to her." Issac pointed and Ethan glared at him.

"Don’t glare at me like this, You know I’m right and if you need to make her less scared you need to turn on the seductive and the romantic side of you, Petal is a shy girl, She won’t come around if you didn’t push her, She is virgin at heart, So she needs a long season of foreplay before she became ready." Issac shamelessly explained and winking at him.
