He frowned as he looked at the reports and nothing was found except for the body.

"This is the work of more than one person. Someone has found out about her and they won’t stop." Noah said as he continued to look through the file.

"I know, But unfortunately we couldn’t find any lead ex-pat for this man’s dead body." Issac replied to Noah’s words.

Noah nodded his head as he continued to look through the file before he closed it.

"Thank you, I should go now." Noah said as he stood up.

"I wanted to ask you about something personal." Sick said as he took out a new cigarette and lit it up with the lighter.

"Go ahead." Noah said as he walked towards the mini bar pouring himself a glass of alcohol.

Issack took a deep puff of the cigarette before he lit out the smoke from his nose.

"Are you serious about Petal?" He asked as he tapped on the cigarette in the ashtray.

Taking a sip from the cup in his hands. Noah turned to look at him.

"I am, I’m willing to take things to the next step if she is willing to, Of course." He replied.

"But why do ask?" Noah asked and took a sip from his whiskey looking at Noah closely.

Noah knew that Issac asked this question for a reason, One that he won’t share with him so he has to guess.

"Nothing, I just wanted to know." Issac replied.

Taking the last sip from the cup, Noah put it down on the table before he left.

"I think I’m about to watch some close people getting burned by the flames of love." Issack muttered under his breath.

In the evening, In Petal’s room.

Petal checked herself for the last time in the mirror before she picked up her purse and walked out of the room. Noah arrived at the entrance of the mansion and sent her a message.

Walking down the stairs, Petal saw Ethan sitting alone in the living room, She glanced at him for a few seconds before she looked away and left the mansion, She wonders why he was coming here a lot lately when he didn’t live here anymore, She knew that it wasn’t her right to think like this but he is bothering her every time he comes here.

Ethan, who was sitting in the living room, was surprised to see her going out this time, But he saw how she was dressed up. He immediately figured that she had a date with Noah.

Ethan’s eyes narrowed as he thought about the two of them having dinner together. He wondered if it’s going to be just dinner or something more. Shaking his head hopelessly, Ethan took out his phone and made a call, and the other person on the other line replied.

"Keep an eye on her but don’t let them see. If you suspect something, Protect her at all costs." Ethan ordered before he ended the call.

Throwing the call on the couch, running his fingers through his hair, He was angry and he needed to blow off some steam and the best way to do that is by doing some heavy workout in his home gym.

It’s better than taking it out on someone, Ethan thought to himself as he stood up walking towards the gym.

At the date.

Noah was staring at Petal as she ate her food, She looked so beautiful tonight with the dress that she was the white floral dress that she was wearing, She had her hair clapped from both sides, She looked alluring with light makeup that’s he put on, Especially the light pink color that she applied on her lips.

Petal was aware of Noah staring at her and it made her uncomfortable. She looked up at him hoping that he would stop staring but he didn’t.

"Why aren’t you eating?" Petal asked.

"How can I eat when I’m distracted by your beauty?" He flirted with her and Petal was shocked for a moment.

"Thank you." Petal replied to his words.

Somehow she feels like she is a bad person for making this go on when she obviously doesn’t even like him and for this, she needs to do something, say something things cannot go on like this.

"Noah, I need to tell you something important." Petal said signaling. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Noah nodded his head, He had a feeling about what she wanted to say.

"Go ahead." He replied.

Petal to a deep breath gathering her thoughts first before she says anything, She took out her notebook and pen and started to write on them.

"Noah, I know you are a good guy, But me continuing in this relationship is like lying to myself and lying to you, There is no actual feeling between us except for me respecting you, and don’t think that going on in this will have a happy ending, we should end it now." Petal handed him the notebook to read what she wrote.

She felt good being honest, She didn’t want to end up like her father playing and toying with innocent people.

Noah read what Petal wrote and felt like he was being rejected in a soft polite way and he had to thank her for that.

"I appreciate your honesty. It makes me feel good that I got to know a girl likes you, But I’m sorry, I can’t admit that I’m defeated in winning your heart. I will keep on trying as long as you don’t have someone special that was able to win your heart." Noah said, smiling at her.

Petal let out an amused laugh as she stared at him, She was shocked, She hadn’t expected that.

Taking the notebook from him, She started to write something on it.

"Then don’t blame me if I come harsh on you, every time you try to hit or flirt on me you will get a strong rejection, Deal." She wrote and showed it to him.

Noah chuckled as he read what she wrote, He offered his hand to her and said.

"Deal."

Petal too offered her hand to him and the two of them shook hands conforming to the deal, The rest of the donner went smoothly now that the two of them had become honest with themselves.

They both laughed and had a great time together, Petal thought that this was one of the best days in her life.

By the time she went back to the mansion, it was almost the middle of the night, Everyone was asleep or that’s what Petal thought. She made her way upstairs, Petal smiled to herself she had a wonderful evening.

She frowned when she saw how dark the Cordier was. At least they could have left one light turned on, she thought as she made her way towards her room carefully. Because of her hearing problem, She didn’t hear the footsteps that were behind her.

Once she reached her room she opened the door and entered and was about to turn on the light when a hand grabbed her wrist and another one covered her mouth.

"Walk forward." A voice in her ear whispered and she did as he said.

Walking forward, She heard the door to the room is closed, Petal gulped in fear, Was he a thief entering the mansion and he is now going to kill her, Petal felt tears gathering in her eyes as she thought about this period killing.

Suddenly this person loosened his grab on her hand and mouth and stepped back and turned on the lights.

Turning around, Petal’s eyes widened and her hands turned into fists.

She took a step forward and...

SLAP!

A hard tight slap landed on Ethan’s face that made him turn his face to the other side.

Ethan rubbed his face with his hand as he turned to look at her.

"What are you doing here?" She asked him to sign.

Ethan who started to learn the ASL language understood what she said.

"What are you doing coming back late? Do you know what time it is?" He asked her back and watched how she glared at him.

Petal frowned, He understood what she said, But how?.

"I started to learn your language, It’s only normal since everyone is talking with it." He replied to her question that she didn’t ask.

Petal’s heart skipped a beat, She stared at him confused.

Why would I learn it? He hates her, doesn’t he?.

"I did that to communicate with you, This is the only." Ethan said, taking a step closer to her.

"I know I’m a bad person in your eyes, But... " Ethan stopped talking when she placed her hand on his mouth before she pulled her hand away.

"Please, Leave." She signaled to him.

Ethan watched her eyes that were full of tears, He wanted to be the one to wipe them.
