Petal reached for the water and gulped the whole bottle in one go as continued to stare at the stage and when she realized that the show was going to be more dangerous for her, Petal looked away not wanting to look at the Now necked man.

Petal felt as if she was doing something wrong, She needed to leave this place.

Writing down something on the paper she left it on the table and stood up walking towards the exit.

Mason went to bring more drinks for her when he didn’t find her there and saw a note placed on the table.

[Tell Alice that I went back first.]

Petal stepped out of the club and looked around her examining the new area, It was her first time coming here but it seemed that it’s not the first time for Alice, Come to think about it, Alice appeared to be someone different from what she thought, Not that she is judging her, She just surprised by how wild she is, Unlike her, Alice seemed to enjoy life more than her.

Petal saw a cafe across the street and she decided to wait for Alice there.

Fifteen minutes later, Alice came downstairs searching for Petal where she left her but she didn’t find her.

"She left first and left this note." Alice head Mason said."I guess she is not ready for this kind of thing, She’s too innocent." He added handing her the note.

"Hmm, She is, I will go and find her." Alice said before she left the club.

When Alice stepped outside the club she saw Petal sitting on one of the chairs of a cafe across the club, Sighing in relief, She walked towards her.

Petal was drinking a cup of coffee when Alice arrived.

Taking a seat in front of her, Alice asked.

"Why did you leave? Did someone do something to you?"

Nodding her head now, Petal replied.

"I wasn’t comfortable." She replied, signaling.

Alice sighed and sat back on her chair.

"I apologize, I shouldn’t have been brought to this place." She said,

Petal smiled at knowing that Alice brought her here to have fun and she did. She learned a new thing today and one of them is strip dancing.

"It’s alright, I’m just not used to it." She replied, signaling.

Alice stayed silent for a while thinking about something, But she decided to keep it to herself for now.

"About yesterday, Issac told me what happened, We made sure that they got the right punishment." Alice said and Petal nodded her head.

Hearing this, Petal wondered if they had been taken to the underground room as that man did to her. She remembered what that man did to her. Her body shivered and she tried to push the memory away.

The girls stayed there for some time chatting and after that, they went to a restaurant and had lunch together, Before they went shopping together.

"What do you think?" Alice asked to pick up a red sleeveless top with a high neckline.

Shaking her head no, Petal picked up another one for her and asked her to try it.

"It’s good, I will go and try it." Alice said and walked towards the dressing room.

A few minutes later, Alice came out of the dressing room wearing the top that Petal picked.

"Is it good?" Alice asked her.

"Perfect." Petal replied signaling.

Alice smiled and went to change her clothes back.

While Petal was waiting for Alice to pay for her clothes, She took a look around the street looking at the rest of the clothes shopping. She noticed a musical instruments shop and walked towards it to take a look at it, But suddenly she noticed a familiar face between the crowds in the street.

"Jacob?" Petal mumbled in her mind as she walked towards where she saw him but the person started to walk fast.

Petal pushed her way through the crowded street and she managed to follow that person. She was about to catch up with him when suddenly someone collided with her and she ended up falling to the ground.

"Are you alright miss?" An old woman asked her.

Petal stood up, not bothered by the pain in her knee. She looked around her trying to find him but it was too late. He was gone.

Petal tried to swallow the lump in her throat feeling hurt, She wasn’t imaging, It was Jacob, There is no way that she mistook him for someone else.

"Petal, What happened?" Alice asked, rushing towards her." Your knee is bleeding? What happened?" She asked again, seeing her knee that was covered with blood.

Petal turned to look at her with hollow eyes, She felt her heartache. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Why would Jacob run away from her? She wondered.

Alice noticed that something had happened that made her react like this and she hoped that she didn’t find out about her mother’s death.

"Come, Let’s go back to the car." Alice said, urging her to walk.

The whole road, Petal stayed silent staring outside the window. She couldn’t stop thinking about why Jacob ran away from her. She noticed the shock in her eyes when their eyes met as if he wasn’t expecting to see her.

Did her family abandon her?.

For the first in her life, Petal, Felt scared and alone, At this point, she is all alone.

Once they arrived at the mansion, Petal walked upstairs towards her room and locked the door behind her. Today, She wasn’t in the mind to deal with anyone. Taking off the two hearing devices, She lay down on the bed and closed her eyes, and fell asleep crying.

Downstairs, Alice waited for her mother to come back and inform her about what happened.

"I know, I’m aware of what happened, But not the reason." Lana said, surprising Alice and Issac.

"What do you mean?" Issac asked, confused.

Lana stayed silent for a while before she spoke.

"When Petal First came here, I put two bodyguards to watch her just in case that she is planning to do something against us, I had to be cautious but the more time passed the more I realized that she is her father victim, The person she saw today was the bodyguard that her father assigned to her since she was young, He is more like a brother to her, But when he saw her today, He runs away from her when she tried to follow him." Lana explained.

Alice and Issac exchanged a confused look.

"But why did he do that? She told herself how close they are." Alice questioned.

"Because her father has many enemies and most of them don’t know that Henry Santos had a daughter and if they knew they would come to find her and kill her, Jacob, Her bodyguard, would try to stay away from her until everything calmed down." Lana answered.

"Petal doesn’t know, But there are some of her father’s enemies that know that she had put a killing orde

r under her name once they found her." Lana added, shocking the two siblings.

"But if she stays here, No one can execute this order." Issac pointed.

"That’s what we count on, Hopefully, she is safe here." Lana said feeling uneasy about something.

It was already midnight when Petal woke up. She had slept in the wrong position and now her neck hurts. She rubbed it gently to soothe the pain until it became better. Getting up from the bed, She walked towards the bathroom room to take a shower.

Taking off her clothes, She stepped into the shower letting the warm water soothe her sore muscles and joints, She stood under the water thinking about what happened today.

Recalling how Jacob looked at her, Petal felt that there was something suspicious about him, As he was avoiding her for a reason, But what is it? What could force him to do that?

Closing her eyes she left up her face letting the water fall on it directly before she turned the faucet off and picked up the towel Wrapping it around her body and picked another one warping it around her head before she stepped out of the bathroom.

Walking towards the dressing table, She was about to pick up her body lotion when she remembered something, She turned around losing the towel and tried to see the scare on her back, Petal started at the pink skin that started from the middle of her back and to her lower back, She was glad that it was on her back a place where no can see.

Warping the towel around her again, She picked up the body lotion bottle and went to sit on the bed.

Inside the guests’ house.

"Sir, We found some of the cameras are still working and we found some Videos from surveillance cameras." Mr. Robert, Ethan personal lawyer informed him as he placed the laptop in front of him to show him the videos.
