It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 179: A lost angel
"When Lana told me that Ethan is dating now. I was happy to hear that. I thought that he had finally decided to move on. But today she told me that there’s some kind of misunderstanding happened between the two of you. I was sad." David said.
Petal looked up at him. Listening to the man named David. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
As much as she respected this old man. Petal didn’t feel comfortable talking about such personal matters. For almost two weeks she only listened to everyone telling her that what she did was wrong. No one asked her what he did? what did she discover?
It hurt her. She gave him everything. She was honest about her feelings while he was faking his. No one cared about her, that’s what she noticed. All they cared about is Ethan and her going back to him.
"I’m not here to talk you into going back to him. I have no right to do that. But what I’m going to tell is. Don’t make rushed decisions just for revenge." David said, smiling at her.
Petal only stared at the old. She didn’t try to say anything. He wouldn’t understand her even if she tried. Even the ones who understood her didn’t care. She watched as the old man stood on his feet and walked away from the table. Could this night go any worse? She thought to herself.
Petal spent the night sitting there. Sitting alone on the chair. The table was empty. No one was there to disturb her enjoying the night sky that was full of stars this evening. An earlier man brought a warm blanket for her and she knew who told her to do that. She didn’t understand that man. He treasures her like she is worth millions. Like she was the center of his world. If he loved her so much then why did he do this? Why did he bother to care for her even after everything ended between them?
The blanket smelled like him. Like sandalwood. It brought all the memories back and she sighed and tried lying.
Thinking about all of this exhausted her. It’s only been two weeks but she felt like it’s been two years. She tries to convince herself to hate him. To fill her heart with hatred but she couldn’t. She tried but she failed. His love was deeper than she could erase from her mind. His love ran through her veins and no matter how many times to replace it. She discovers that it’s impossible.
Now she has to deal with this pain every day. Petal wondered if a day would come and this pain became a feeling that she got used to. She read that time can heal broken hearts. In her case. She hoped that healing would be faster. Because deep inside she was breaking apart and it felt as if she started to lose her mind.
Standing up. Petal warped the blanket around her tightly. The warmth of the blanket prevented her from feeling cold. Climbing up the stairs. She wanted to go to her room to rest but her feet laid her to a different room. A room that she’s not supposed to be in.
What are you doing Petal? She asked herself.
Standing in the middle of the room. She found herself surrounded by his scent and memories. Her heartfelt heavy and for a stupid hormonal reason, she felt like crying. At herself or the fact that she missed him. She didn’t know.
If he walked in and found her here. Standing in the middle of his room. It will be an embarrassing situation. It will make her look bad. But she didn’t care. Because being here made me feel better. Less restless. But this is wasn’t what she wanted to herself. Walking out of the room. She looked around and found no one. Walking upstairs. She decided to end this long tiring night and just go to sleep but she found in front of her is someone she didn’t expect to find.
Walking along the long corridor. Petal felt her feet hurt from wearing heels for a long time. It would be nice if she was able to have a massage right now. A nice feet massage or maybe a full body massage. It would be good for her to fall asleep without using the sleeping pills. Lately, her insomnia was even worse. It was hard for her to fall asleep without taking the pill.
Petal’s feet stopped walking when she saw someone leaning against her room door. The person that she tried to avoid the whole night. Their eyes met and she felt her heart race in her chest.
Ethan leaned against the door gracefully. Looking at her. The blanket that he sent to her was folded in her hands. Right now she looked like an angel. A lost one. The dress she wore tonight did nothing but add to her already alluring self. He thought that dark colors suited her best. He was wrong. All colors suited her and the one she chose tonight was just too perfect. No. She was too perfect.
He spends the whole evening watching her. Watching her is what made this long boring night pass. She did nothing but drink a cup of juice. She did eat he noted. And he noticed that she lost weight. The little weight that he worked hard to make her gain. Alice had told that she stopped eating meals with them and he suspect that she eats anything at school.
Moving away from the door. He stepped back. Allowing her to enter her room.
Petal tried to ignore the fact that he was so handsome. Or like what Alice say too hot and walked towards her room but she didn’t open the door, She turned to look at him.
The atmosphere around them became tense. Mostly her who was like this. Ethan only stood there with his hands tucked inside his trousers pockets. Looking at her.
