Petal’s eyes narrowed. Her body turned cold and her face turned pale but she continued listening.

"A game of revenge,’’ you said. And how isn’t going so far? Is it working?" The woman with blonde hair asked.

"Greatly. So there’s nothing to worry about. When the time is right. I will get rid of her." Ethan said.

"I pity that little girl. She thinks that you love her when you’re playing with her feelings before you give her the final blow. It will be painful but she deserves it for falling for the devil himself." The woman with blonde hair said.

"That’s what will happen to you too, Rita. if I discovered that you’re betraying me." Ethan said, threatening her.

The video ended and Petal kept looking at the screen with a blank expression. Her head was spinning. She didn’t know if what she heard was true or not. But was him. Ethan, She saw him with her own eyes. Speaking with the dark cold tone that he used to talk to her with before.

Jacob who listened to the conversation between Ethan and the woman didn’t believe what heard. All that time that bastard was playing her. But the question is. Who sent this video to her?

"Petal." Jacob called her but there wasn’t a reply. She was looking at the phone screen with blank expressions.

Petal remembered seeing this woman in the mansion before. At the time, she didn’t ask Ethan about her. She was stupid for not doing that.

Putting her phone in her bag. She turned to look at Jacob."Take me to the mansion." She said, signaling.

Jacob stared at her a minute before he started the engine. Driving towards the mansion.

At the mansion. Lana and Alice were busy putting the last touches on the birthday preparations.

"I think everything is ready." Alice said as she looked at her brother who seemed as if he was nervous. It was hard to tell.

"Yes. Now we just have to wait." Lana replied.

"When are they supposed to be here?" Lana asked as she fixed the decorations on the wall.

"They should be here in ten minutes from.... Oh, God." Alice said, looking at the door, seeing Petal walking towards them.

"What? You said there are ten minutes left." Lana said.

"We still have time. Quick. Turn off the lights and hide." Alice said as ran to hide.

Issac quickly turns the lights off with Pearl’s help before they hide too in a spot where they can see Petal when she enters.

Ethan was standing at the entrance to welcome. Noticed that there’s something off with her. A feeling inside him told him that something bad had happened.

"Welcome back." Ethan said to her in a gentle voice reaching to hug her and she didn’t stop him.

Jacob watched the scene with silence waiting for Petal to know what she’s going to do.

Pulling away. Petal stared at Ethan with an expressionless look on her face. "We need to talk. Now." She said to him, signaling.

Ethan turned to look at Jacob before he looked back at her. "Let’s talk and go to the study room." Ethan said.

"I don’t know. But I can tell that it’s something bad. We should call off the surprise part." Issac said."Turn on the lights." Issac added.

Petal stepped inside the mansion only to stop walking. Reading the words that were W

written on the mansion entrance. She turns to look at Ethan.

Happy birthday, Petal. These were the words that were written at the entrance.

"I wanted to make it a surprise to you. But I guess I failed." Ethan said, smiling at her.

Petal felt nothing. Strange. Usually, she would be moved by his words. But she felt nothing this time. Ignoring his words. Petal continued walking towards the study room. I didn’t shake her that he was continuing with his acting.

Ethan frowned, noticing how PetaI was treating him with coldness."What happened?" He asked Jacob.

"She will tell herself." He replied as he followed Petal.

"Mom. I think we should give them some privacy." Alice said, stopping her mother from going to the study room.

"Alice is right. Mom. Let’s wait here." Issac said.

Lana nodded her head and the four of them walked towards the living room, waiting to know what was going on.

Inside the study room.

Ethan closed the door behind him and walked towards his desk. Leaning against the table.

"What happened?" He asked in a calm voice though he was restless deep inside he kept on a straight face.

Petal unlocked her phone and gave it to him. The video was already on the screen.

Ethan took the phone from her looking at her confused. He took a look at the phone and then back at her before he tapped on the screen playing the video, not knowing that what about to hear next was going to make his world collapse.

"Everyone is talking about you and that girl Ethan." The woman said.

"And what are they saying?" It was Ethan who asked.

The woman with blonde hair laughed and said."They’re saying that you’re in love with her. That she might be your new weak spot."

"Well. Unfortunately, you and they are wrong." Ethan replied.

Petal turned to look at Jacob who stopped the car on the roadside.

"How so?" The woman asked.

Ethan kept on a poker face as he stopped the video."No need to hear the rest. I know everything I said very well." He said putting the phone on the deck.
