It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 154: Indirected announcement

Staring at her phone screen. Petal thought about it for a moment. This is not something that can be discussed through texting. She decided to wait for Ethan to come back and then she will tell him.

Petal wanted to ask Jacob to come and live with them in the new house that Ethan gifted her. The house is too big for two people and there are many rooms. Plus its two floors so it’s big enough for the three of them.

At seven in the event. Ethan came back to the apartment. Petal was the one who opened the door for him and noticed the look on his face. Something bad had happened. She could tell by the look on his face.

Ethan stepped inside the apartment and closed the door behind him before he pulled Petal in his arms, hugging her tightly. Kissing the top of her head. Today, Ethan discovered many secrets. One of them could make Petal happy or it could destroy the perfect image she had of her mother.

In the living room. Jacob, who was reading a book, lifted his head to look at the entrance of the apartment to see the two lovers hugging. The apartment was small so he could see the entrance from where he was sitting. Rolling his eyes, he closed the book in his hands and put it on the table.

Petal and Ethan walked towards the living room noticing the look I’d annoyances on his face but they ignored it.

"You look like you have seen a ghost. What did I find out?" Jacob asked, knowing that there’s bad news behind that look on his face.

Ethan turned to look at Pete before he spoke."They know that you and Petal are alive, all of them. You can’t stay here any longer. It’s not safe anymore."

Hearing this, Petal felt like everything around her started spinning. She didn’t want to live a life where she had to be stranded with bodyguards and people to protect her. Feeling a headache start to form on her forehead, she reached her hand to message it.

"Though I prefer for the both of us to stay in the mansion. It’s safer. That if you agreed Jacob. If not. We can make the arguments and stay at Petal’s house. Both options are safe." Ethan said. Looking at Jacob, waiting for his answer."If you agreed to live in the mansion. I will hire you as the head of bodyguards. There’s no other person I can entrust Petal with than you." He added.

Petal looked at Jacob seeing he was looking at her. He wanted her to make the decision."I will do what you think is best." She said, signaling to Jacob.

Jacob stayed silent for a moment, thinking about everything before he made a decision. He knew that things were going to be complicated once Henry’s enemies discovered that Petal was alive.

"The safest place right now is Wilson’s estate. No one will dare to come near the mansion." Jacob said, looking at Petal and she nodded her head.

Petal wasn’t happy with this decision. but she can’t risk Jacob’s life just because of her selfishness.

"One more thing. Today I announced that Petal is under my protection. It’s the only way that I can minimize the list of who might dare and do something." Ethan said.

Petal looked at him not understanding what that meant. But Jacob on the other hand knew what that meant. It’s good that Ethan did that. Now only a few of the underground dogs will make a move.

What Ethan did was indirected announce that Petal Santos is his woman. He could only imagine the look on that cousin of his once the news reached him. For some reason. Jacob didn’t like that man named Noah. Something about was off. He had been watching him since he found out that he’s interested in Petal.

That night. Petal helped Jacob to pack his clothes and everything he needed. At the mansion. The agreements had been done. Ethan ordered for the guest house to be cleaned and prepared. He knew that Petal was worried that she was causing Jacob’s life to be unsettled. But that wasn’t her fault.

The next morning. Petal and Jacob left for the mansion with Ethan. Black SUV bulletproof cars followed them behind, ahead of them, and on the sides. If a normal person were to see this sight they would think that the person inside the car is an important government figure when it was just a normal girl.

Petal sighed looking away from the window. In her opinion, Ethan had gone too far this time. But She knew he was only doing this because he wants to protect her.

Once they reached the house. Petal saw Lana and Alice standing at the entrance of the gate waiting for them. The family welcomed Jacob warmly and invited him for a breakfast.

"Come. The whole family is gathered. Issac and Pearl are inside too." Alice said dragging Petal towards the dining room but Petal refused.

"I have a headache. I will go upstairs and rest. You go and eat with everyone." Petal said signaling. before she walked towards the stairs.

Alice turned to look at her brother for an explanation of why Petal seemed upset."What happened? Did you force her to come here?" She asked Ethan.

Taking off his coat he gave it to passing maid."I didn’t force her. But the circumstances did. She just needs some time alone." Ethan replied patting his sister’s head before he walked towards the dining room only to stop midway."Don’t take her to that club again." He said over his shoulder before he continued walking.

Alice smirked hearing this. She knew that Ethan was aware of that but if he said that that’s mean that something interesting happened. Later she will force the details out of detail.
