"Hello, young lady. I'm called Kyden Nevin Noe. How are you doing on this fine morning?"

In the Heliox estate, Anna was finally meeting her new Arcane magic mentor, a master mage of (tier-8) and someone famous throughout the realm of arcane magic.

"Hello teacher~! A very good morning to you too~!" Anna greeted her new teacher enthusiastically.

She had been looking forward to this for a long time now. His arrival was delayed because of some monster attack in various places around the country, but he was finally here now.

"Hmmm. The young lady seems to be in a good mood." An old voice, long gray beard, eyes hidden behind a thick moustache, and his old hunched body all hinted at how old this person must be.

Even as a mage, the fact that he looked so old meant he was even older than his looks.

Anna could feel the wise-vibes from this person. She could feel that he wasn't a bad person.

She could sense his great curiosity, she could sense the hidden affection that he was feeling, and there was something even interesting about him.

'He's so cool~!'

Anna found his looks as well as the large magic staff on him far more interesting than most mages she have seen until now.

'They're so pretty, right Pappy~?'

The old mage's staff had a large orb on its tip. Inside of this glass orb, Anna could see many colorful lights that wouldn't be visible to normal eyes.

"Oh? The young lady could see them?" The old mage asked with great interest in his eyes. There was a new glow present in those mysterious obsidian eyes now.

These lights that she was seeing were arcane creatures, beings similar to Pappy.

They weren't the same as the baby elephant, but they weren't something just anyone could perceive. Not even other high mages could perceive them.

"Oh! I see colorful light balls inside~. There are… hmm… three, five, nine… there are nine of them! Oh! And their colors represent their nature and powers~. The lighter the color, the younger they are, and the older ones are darker~!"

The fact that she figured even that out stunned the old mage.

'They weren't exaggerating when they said she'd exceed my expectations.'

The orb was a subspace that the old mage had created himself over the period of a century. There were many enchantments around the orb that made it very difficult for the normal people to perceive anything inside of it.

To normal eyes, this orb would seem hazy and colorless, but if she could not only sense all of the arcanum beasts inside of it, along with their age, she certainly was no normal individual.

Her talent was scary. He didn't even know anything about her potential yet and she still seemed scary to him.

Also, there was a unique arcanum beast right beside her… a baby elephant with ears that seemed like its wings.

The purity of Arcanum that he could feel from it was almost the same as his own, something that should not be possible considering how Anna had just awakened her powers.

But, he had no doubt about what he was seeing right now.

He could not sense the Arcanum that Anna possessed and the one that he could sense from her Arcane beast was as pure as his own– perhaps it was even more, but he could only feel as much as his own since that was his threshold.

And this scared him even more.

"You're right, young Miss. They are my partners that help me. Do you wish to meet them?"

"Yessss~! Of course I want to see them~!!"

For an arcane sorcerer, showing his energy mediums (the beasts) was the same as exposing his weakness.

Anna had kept Pappy with her all this time since she had no threat around her people in this house. She was the safest here, but the same was not the case for him.

It was dangerous to keep these creatures out like this, but after looking at Anna's partner, he also knew there was something different about this one from what he had seen over the two hundred years of his life.

"Very well."

-Oooooooooooong!

He didn't know why her parents and elders had praised her so highly until now. He was aware that she was the beloved youngest of the Heliox household, but that did not mean she was bound to be as amazing as her siblings.

The Heliox's young generation was surely amazing, with Eon, Carla, and Alf spreading their names all around the world with their feats, their youngest that people knew little about wasn't necessarily going to be as amazing.

'I thought she would be talented and pretty good thanks to her lineage, but I was wrong.'

When he called out his own Arcanum beasts, the beings that only interacted with the person that they had a contract relationship with, every one of them ran up to her.

-Ooooooooong!

As soon as they got near her, even before they touched her body, they all materialized into their original forms.

"Wowy~!"

A little girl that wasn't even a young adult yet had so much pure Arcanum that merely being near her was enough for his beasts to materialise into their original forms.

{ "Amazing." }

Of the nine, one resembled a giant snake that covered half of the garden that they were standing on. This was the oldest being that he had.

Then there was a torus, a giant predatory bird with the head of a deer, there was a spider with the body of a scorpion.

The youngest and smallest of them all was a humanoid arcanum beast that possessed a humanoid body covered in green fur.

"Hehehe~! Look, Pappy~! Friends~!"

Anna was happy to see each and every one of them. And, since having such beings in the open was not a good thing, even without their master's orders, the bigger ones shrunk down into a smaller form.

Anna found them even cuter in the smaller form, and hugged each and every one of them warmly.

She even kissed the old snake, and it was at this moment that the contractor or these beings saw another unexpected thing.

{ "Hmmm?" }

Anna's special kiss did not work on humans alone. It was a special gift of hers that applied to anyone she kissed.

"Amazing…"

Through the arcane beast, the master could feel the same rejuvenation that the snake felt in that moment.

It was a kind of feeling that the old being had not felt in a very, very long time. He did not understand what had just happened at first, but then the old snake looked into the shimmering eyes of the little engel.

{ "You're… those eyes…" }

Anna's jeweled eyes were still hidden but the teacher knew about them. The arcane beasts weren't aware of it, but after that moment, they knew about the special eyes and the special power of this young child as well.

"Hehe, they're so amazing, teacher~!"

While it was still unexpected, the master of arcane arts was now considering himself to be fortunate to be able to teach this young lady.

He had already taught his fair share of students, he had already seen monstrous talents. He had also seen Eon from afar and knew just how precious of a jewele he was.

'I didn't think much of it at first, but I think I've met the best student of my life.'

He was old and he knew that as well. He did not have a long time left on this earth.

He had achieved a lot and done his fair share of things already. Currently living a peaceful life in a peaceful place, he was ready to spend the last of his days within nature.

'Had it not been for Lady Grizelda's personal request, I don't think I would have come all the way here.'

But he was now glad that he chose to come here. To teach this one of a kind talent.

"How about we start with today's lessons and introduce our arcane energy beasts, young lady?" He suggested with a warmer smile on his face as he sat down on the ground without hesitation.

There were precious seats and chairs prepared for them but he preferred the ground.

And, despite being from a noble family, Anna didn't hesitate even for a moment as she sat down right beside her teacher.

"Yesssss~! I'm excited to learn, teacher~!"

She had been looking forward to this for a long time now. She was eagerly waiting for her teacher's arrival as she practised the basics that her big brother had taught her in the tower.

He had told her to not skip these basics. She still needed to solidify her foundations so she practiced day and night to achieve a higher level.

Her sword practice, her etiquette lessons or her own study did not come in between her arcane art practice.

She did not know how to do cool things like her brothers, but now that her teacher was here, she was looking forward to all the amazing and cooler things she would learn from him.

'He seems like a nice grandpa~.'

She could feel the excitement that he had at that moment. He wanted to teach her as much as she wanted to learn from him, making that moment even more precious for her.

"Very well then~. Let us begin."

As an advisor of the Elder council as well as an honorary council member, Sir Kyden was no less than the other elder mages who possessed their own perspective of magic.

He wasn't a (tier-9) mage but he possessed his aspect of magic as well.

As an arcane mage, he was different from the other mages, and in the following few months, Anna was going to learn just how different arcane energy arts and magic actually was…
