Invisible Security Guard-Chapter 2380 - 2399: Eerie
The world is vast and full of wonders. Those sand sculptures are full of life, yet Yusuf Zuck and Shane Ray have never seen these Divine Beast sculptures before, nor have they even heard of them.
"I still can’t use Divine Consciousness here, I can’t detect what’s inside the sculptures. However, such large sculptures are definitely not simple. You stand by to protect me while I dive into the sculpture to see if there’s anything strange inside." Shane Ray said, quickly diving into one of the sand sculptures.
However, just as he dove in, the sand sculpture suddenly shattered, collapsing into flowing sand.
The sand sculpture seemed solid, but couldn’t withstand his impact, so it turned into a pile of sand.
Yusuf raised an eyebrow; these sculptures have probably existed for a long time. Even though there are no winds or waves, if they were all as fragile as the one Shane Ray collided with, they should have collapsed on their own a long time ago.
But the sculptures still stand here mysteriously, which indicates that there must be some kind of easy reinforcement restriction on them that prevents them from falling apart. Once someone interacts with them, the restriction disappears and the sculpture collapses.
"It turns out they look impressive but are useless, merely piles of real sand. Yet, such lifelike sculptures must have been crafted by a master sculptor." Shane Ray said while continuously waving his hand to send out palm shapes that caused all the sculptures to collapse into piles of sand.
"Let’s go, big brother. They’re just sculptures here anyway, let’s see what lies beyond the Sculpture Plain." Yusuf yelled loudly.
"Alright, let’s go." As soon as Shane Ray responded, a change occurred. The piles of sand he had just smashed suddenly started rapidly wriggling, and in the blink of an eye, they reformed into sand sculptures, which then came to life.
"Roar~Roar roar roar roar roar..." Not just coming to life, but moving, and with furious roars, all rushed towards Shane Ray.
Shane Ray jumped in shock, sand sculptures coming to life? That’s unbelievable, and these sculptures possessed tremendous combat strength, their oppressive aura akin to Heavenly Dao’s pressure, engulfing Shane Ray overwhelmingly.
"Be careful, big brother." Yusuf was also astonished. Are the sand sculptures revived, or have they attained life, or were they transformed into mechanism sand sculpture beasts?
He had no time to think it over, grabbing the Blue Wing Big Knife and rushing forward, slicing one of the sand sculpture beasts on the back of its head.
"Bang~" Without any surprise, the sand sculpture beast exploded, and Yusuf breathed a long sigh of relief; they were nothing but impressive-looking displays.
Seeing Yusuf kill one with a single swipe, Shane Ray relaxed, snorted angrily, and collided with the sand sculpture beasts using the Power of the flesh.
"Bang bang bang bang bang..." The sand sculpture beasts broke apart, and Shane Ray was completely at ease.
"Something’s wrong, big brother." Suddenly realizing, Yusuf turned around and saw that the sand sculpture beast he had defeated had come back to life, and... its Heavenly Dao oppressive aura was ten times stronger than before, making even Yusuf feel the immense pressure.
"Not good, these sand sculpture beasts revive immediately upon being shattered, and their strength multiplies tenfold. This place is eerie, be careful Yusuf." Shane Ray quickly backed up against Yusuf.
The plain is vast, with perhaps billions of sand sculptures visible only as far as the eye can see.
If all these sand sculptures can revive and become ten times stronger upon revival, these sand sculpture beasts don’t have to do anything more; they can simply wear them down.
"Let me try again to see if they can be killed." Yusuf squinted, wondering about the existence of these sand sculpture beasts.
Determined to figure it out, he raised the big knife once again and sliced down onto the sand sculpture beast.
However, this time, the single slice didn’t shatter the sand sculpture; instead, it left a huge notch from which sand continuously fell.
"Again." He continued the assault, aiming for the previous notch, slicing again.
"Swoosh~" This time, the sand sculpture beast shattered, but... immediately upon shattering and hitting the ground, it quickly wriggled, revived, and its aura was even more overwhelming.
"Yusuf, don’t engage with them. Haven’t you realized? Every time you kill them, their aura strengthens by tenfold, and their sand bodies become increasingly solid! You could never kill it with two slashes now!"
Yusuf forcefully nodded, "I believe it, we must leave now."
It’s extremely eerie; they are unkillable, and killing them only strengthens them tenfold. The formerly sandy-bodied sand sculpture beasts are becoming more solid. This is not a good sign, so engaging them in battle is pointless. Thus, Yusuf decided to leave quickly.
However... his decision seemed late because all the sand sculpture beasts began shaking spontaneously, forming sand piles, rapidly shaped and then charging towards Yusuf.
"Tri-Sol, come out." Shane Ray promptly released his Solar Divine Bird, and the two of them jumped onto it. As the Solar Divine Bird let out a resounding cry, it began to ascend.
But as the Solar Divine Bird ascended, some of the sand sculpture beasts with wings flew into the sky, forming a dense wall of sand beasts, seemingly intending to stop their advance.
"Charge, we’ll break through; they’re weak now." Yusuf shouted.
The Solar Divine Bird shrieked, flapped its wings, and charged into the sand sculpture beast swarm, causing them to disintegrate into loose sand as the bird pierced through.
"Buzz~Buzz buzz buzz~" Suddenly, the entire space hummed with a buzzing sound. From the Solar Divine Bird, Yusuf and Shane Ray saw that the source was the surrounding yellow wind, forming a veil over the sand sculpture plain and connecting heaven and earth.
Yusuf and Shane Ray’s faces darkened; the yellow wind veil was evidently a barrier, a sandstorm barrier trapping them and the sand sculpture beasts together, preventing their escape.
If they couldn’t leave, they would face endless fights. They wouldn’t kill, yet the sand sculpture beasts would continuously attack them. It would become a death loop where killing the beasts strengthens them tenfold until you can’t kill them anymore, and they can easily kill you.
"Big brother, this looks bad, I can’t summon the Door of the Other Shore anymore." Yusuf’s hair stood on end as he spoke.
