Ye Fan stopped descending further because he sensed gaps around, originally dug by the cultivators of the Taiyuan Star.

But sudden bursts of Spiritual Energy streams from all around could greatly affect cultivators, let alone mortals. Moreover, such places abundant in Spiritual Energy also housed many subterranean creatures, including Spiritual Beasts Ye Fan had previously encountered.
