Into the Creations-Chapter 73: [] World of Vampire Detective [46]
Chapter 73 - [73] World of Vampire Detective [46]
"These damn mosquito bastards..."
I muttered under my breath, frowning. In front of me lay three vampires, dead on the alley floor. These guys had been causing trouble at a Seoul bar I occasionally visited. The girls were trembling in fear, huddled in a corner, while the thugs who were supposed to protect the place were knocked out. The vampires were laughing and drinking, having a grand old time.
My fun had been ruined. In a fit of rage, I beat them unconscious and dragged them to the alley, where I killed them by driving silver bullets into their hearts. I left their bodies there. The police wouldn't bother investigating once they realized they were vampire corpses. Even if they did, it didn't matter. The police couldn't stop me now.
"Why are they acting up so much lately?"
Vampires were becoming more brazen in Seoul, and I knew why. I had nearly wiped out the Korean Black Cross Society, leaving the country's vampire hunters in disarray. With fewer than ten hunters left, it was impossible to protect the entire country, no matter how small Korea was.
The ancient vampires and newly turned ones had seized this opportunity to become more active. The ancients were building their own power bases, while the ignorant newly turned vampires were running amok, relying solely on their enhanced physical abilities.
'And Kantra is still looking for me.'
Kantra had figured out that I, Jeokgwang, was the one who killed Doris Ziegler and stole the Orb of Life. The discovery of Baek Sang-gi's body had narrowed the suspects down to me.
'They're talking about blood revenge, calling me a traitor. Annoying bastards.'
At first, I ignored them. I hadn't worn the clown mask since that day. I thought the vampires' rampage was someone else's problem—until now.
'I was supposed to have fun with Mary tonight... How dare they ruin my plans?'
Mary was a new top-tier hostess who had recently entered the scene. She was said to be both beautiful and charming, with rumors that even the elite Yeong Hye-jeong bar was considering scouting her. I had prepared a bag of cash to properly celebrate her debut tonight. If it weren't for these damn mosquito bastards, it would have been an unforgettable night.
'If I leave these mosquitoes alone, the nightlife ecosystem will collapse.'
Vampires who couldn't operate openly would target the underworld. And the Korean underworld, which currently dominated the nightlife, was deeply intertwined with the entertainment industry—especially the tenpro clubs I frequented.
'I'm also not happy with what Kantra's been up to lately. For the sake of my own enjoyment, I need to clean up these mosquito bastards.'
With my Illusiter, assassinating vampires was easy. I could cloak myself, sneak up on them, and slit their throats.
'But how am I supposed to handle all these bastards by myself? And there's a limit to the information I can get through hacking.'
Above all, it was a hassle. I entered the vampire detective world to have fun, not to play the role of a pest control exterminator.

Today, people enjoying their internet streams were startled when their screens suddenly changed. The screen turned black, but the broadcast wasn't over—it was still live.
-?
-???
-Seeing the question marks, I guess it's not just me, lol.
-Wait! Is this Jeokgwang's broadcast?
-Lol, it's definitely Jeokgwang. All the other channels look like this too. He hacked them again.
-Again? The admins are screwed, lol.
-Why hasn't this guy been caught yet?
The chat exploded. Most people were excited to see Jeokgwang after several months, while others frowned and cursed. The black screen lit up, revealing a dimly lit, decrepit building. The wallpaper was torn, the windows shattered, and the floor was covered in dust and trash. In the center stood a man in a suit, wearing a clown mask with red hair.
"Hello, I'm Jeokgwang."
The viewers didn't respond to his greeting. Instead, they focused on the man tied to a chair with chains. His mouth was taped shut, his upper body bare, and his limbs restrained.
-Kidnapping?
-Is this for real?
-If Jeokgwang kidnapped him, he's probably a criminal.
Jeokgwang placed his hand on the man's head. The man trembled, his eyes filled with fear.
"This man isn't a criminal."
-No way.
-Did Jeokgwang kidnap an innocent person?
-I knew it. Jeokgwang's no dark hero—he's just a crazy murderer.
"But in a way, he's worse than a criminal. Today, I'm going to reveal a secret that's been hidden for a long time."
Jeokgwang pulled out a knife—a folding knife with a blade less than a handspan long.
"Watch closely. Let me make this clear: I have no intention of torturing him. Some of you watching might be young. Think of this as a simple experiment."
Jeokgwang lightly dragged the knife across the man's forearm. A thin line of blood appeared, followed by droplets. He had barely cut him.
-He really did it. O.O
-I have a blood phobia.
-You psycho.
"Now, pay attention to this wound."
The chat was filled with condemnation, but after a minute, the tone shifted.
-The wound is already healing?
-???
-Is this some kind of magic trick?
"It's not magic. This is his regenerative ability. This man isn't human—he's a vampire."
-Yeah, right. Vampires don't exist.
-Probably CGI.
-Wait, Jeokgwang...
"I'm a superhuman. Like this."
Jeokgwang activated the Illusiter on his wrist, hidden behind the man's back. His body vanished as the cloaking engaged.
"I can turn invisible. If superhumans exist in this world, why wouldn't vampires? The government and the United Nations have just been hiding it."
-Wow.
-So Jeokgwang really is a superhuman.
-How can I become a superhuman like Jeokgwang?
-There's been weird rumors about women's changing rooms lately.
-...So vampires and superhumans really exist?
Jeokgwang deactivated the cloaking, and his body reappeared.
"You've all noticed how Seoul's public safety has rapidly declined lately. The reason is right here in front of me—these vampires. The purpose of this broadcast is to inform the world about vampires."
Jeokgwang tossed the knife aside and pulled a small mirror from his suit pocket.
"This is a mercury mirror. Look closely—vampires don't reflect in mercury mirrors."
The mirror moved around, showing only Jeokgwang's reflection. The man tied to the chair was invisible, making it seem like an empty chair with floating chains.
"A mercury mirror is the simplest way to identify a vampire."
The chat fell silent. A few viewers still expressed disbelief, but they were in the minority. Most had accepted the existence of vampires.
This was a live broadcast, and Jeokgwang himself was a superhuman with powers beyond reality. He explained everything about vampires—the ancient vampires who wielded supernatural abilities, how humans could become vampires, and even the European vampire organization, Kantra.
"Vampires have weaknesses: sunlight and silver. During the day, their physical abilities are weaker than an average human's. And silver is their natural enemy. Let me show you."
Jeokgwang pulled out another knife from his smartphone.
"This is a silver-plated knife. If I stab it into his shoulder like this..."
The man began to convulse. The area around the knife turned black.
"A silver bullet to the head or torso will kill them instantly. If it hits an arm, they'll have to amputate it. Of course, stabbing them in the torso with a silver-plated knife will also kill them."
Jeokgwang pointed the camera at the ceiling. The viewers instinctively know the vampire tied to the chair is about to die.
"Ugh! Ugh! Ughhh!"
"Stay still."
The man's desperate cries and Jeokgwang's calm voice filled the air.
"Everyone, if you see someone with pale, cold skin or fangs that don't look human, they're almost certainly a vampire. A mercury mirror will confirm it."
"Ughhh!"
A loud thud echoed as something was driven into the man. His cries stopped, and silence fell.
"Be careful. Vampires could be right beside you."
The broadcast ended.
That day, the world was turned upside down.

"What a mess. A complete mess."
That was my take after browsing the internet. South Korea was relatively stable. Guns were largely prohibited, and the vampire presence wasn't too strong. With the police and military cooperating, the situation would likely be under control within a month.
'China's in chaos, and Japan's upper echelon has been exposed as vampires.'
The West was even worse. In Europe, where vampires were abundant, gunfire echoed through cities even in broad daylight.
"Those Kantra idiots can't touch me now. No one in this world can stop me! Hahahaha!"
I stood up, preparing to go out, and lovingly stroked the Illusiter on my wrist.
'I went to the pool yesterday, so today I'll hit the club.'
Cloaking myself, having sex, and then disappearing—shortened to "stab and dash"—had become my hobby. Yesterday, at the pool, I "stabbed and dashed" 12 women, three of whom were virgins. I only target women who meet my beauty standards, which is why the virgin ratio was only around 20%. Tonight, I planned to go to a club, pull down a dancing girl's panties, "stab and dash," and then disappear.
'Oh, I almost forgot.'
I grabbed some lubricant. It was essential for a smooth "stab and dash."
'Tomorrow, I'm scheduled to visit Yeong Hye-jeong... The day after, I'll hook up with Hera. Then, outdoor sex with Choi Sun-mi. Man, I'm busy. So busy.'
Next week, I plan to visit a broadcasting station for some "stab and dash" fun.
'When I get bored, I'll go abroad and continue my "stab and dash" spree. Hahahaha.'
So far, I've taken the virginity of 261 women. I won't stop until I've claimed 1,000 virgins.
'Virgin Hunter! Seong Eugene is on the move!'

I've been saving up points. With no threats left in the vampire detective world, I could afford to stockpile them.
"It's a bit disappointing how few points I've saved. I must've auto-played too much."
I boldly chose to manually play only the interesting parts, letting my avatar handle the boring sections. As a result, I hadn't accumulated many points compared to the time that had passed in the "Vampire Detective" world.
"But I've become Seong Eugene, the Virgin Hunter who's claimed a thousand virgins. I'm satisfied. Hehehe."
I've achieved my goal. Of course, I didn't touch minors—that would ruin the achievement and go against my preferences.
"The Japanese university entrance ceremony was a jackpot. Heheh!"
As I reminisced, I checked the Play Life app, looking for my next adventure. But nothing caught my eye. I'd already done everything I wanted in the "Vampire Detective" world.
'Nothing's appealing no matter how many times I look. Oh, what's this?'
At the very bottom, a new creation caught my eye.
-Earth Warrior Crashman (Tokusatsu)
A tokusatsu show I'd watched on VHS as a child.
[T/N: Tokusatsu are live-action movies or TV shows that use practical special effects like Power Rangers.]
'Ah! My childhood is flooding back. Pink and Yellow!'
But I couldn't choose this one. The world of "Earth Warrior Crashman" was surprisingly harsh. I'd learned about it in middle school—aliens invade Earth, summon monsters that destroy cities and slaughter people.
'When I watched it as a kid, I didn't notice the brutality... But that's because it was made for children. If this world became real... yikes.'
The monsters don't just die—they grow giant. And the Crashmen fight them with giant robots. The cities destroyed in the process... It's enough to make you sigh.
'Even an S-rank hunter would struggle to survive here.'
I decided to put "Crashman" on hold. I'll keep this creation sealed until I'm strong enough to at least survive.
