Interstellar Beast World: All My Husbands Are Powerful and Rich!-Chapter 186: Vine Dew
"Rory, it’s... It’s not that!"
Yuel caught Rory’s wandering hands as they roamed across him.
His Adam’s apple bobbed several times heavily before he managed to steady his breathing. Only then did he speak again.
"Rory, I want to bond with you too... very much. But... today isn’t possible."
"Why?"
Pinned gently against the bed, her wrists restrained above her head by his hands, Rory stared up at him with puzzled eyes.
Was this the kind of thing that required choosing an auspicious day?
Yuel took a slow breath and leaned close, his voice lowering near her ear.
"Today is the day I bloom. If we bond today, you’ll bear fruit. And once there is fruit, until it ripens... we won’t be able to..."
That was exactly why Yuel didn’t want children right now. For plant-type ability users like him, things were different from beast-type ability users.
In certain matters, there was simply no way to take precautions.
On the day they bloomed, they absolutely could not share a bed with their female partner.
Rory stared at him in astonishment. It was the first time she had ever heard such a thing.
"So... when we have children in the future," she asked curiously, "they’ll be fruit?"
How exactly would that even work?
"Rory, that part isn’t important." Yuel leaned down and kissed her. "Anyway, we don’t want children right now. When you do someday, I’ll explain everything."
Then his voice softened. "Rory... it’s time for you to harvest the flowers."
As soon as the words left his lips, buds began appearing all along the vines winding through the little house.
They swelled and burst open one after another. Transparent blossoms unfolded everywhere around them.
Yuel lifted Rory into his arms and handed her a beautifully woven basket.
"I’ll carry you while you pick them, alright?"
Rory nodded.
Though it would have been easier to concentrate if he weren’t pressed so close to her.
One by one, the translucent flowers were plucked and placed into the basket.
By the time they had gathered them all, the basket was completely full.
Rory picked up one of the blossoms and brought it to her nose.
A delicate fragrance spread through the air—fresh, elegant, and identical to the scent Yuel carried with him.
Breathing in the perfume, she suddenly remembered something.
Some flowers produced nectar.
Looking at Yuel, who had just finished straightening his clothes, she pushed the basket toward him.
"You’re going to the battlefield soon. You need these more than I do. Take them with you."
Then she leaned closer and asked softly, "Yuel... do your flowers have nectar?"
Nectar?
Why was she suddenly asking about that?
A faint blush crept across Yuel’s handsome face as if something had crossed his mind.
"Rory, I don’t have nectar," he said softly, "but I do have vine dew. If you like it... when I return, I can give you some."
"Why wait until you come back? Can’t you give it now?"
Rory was genuinely curious about what this vine dew was.
Yuel’s flowers and leaves were already incredibly powerful—something called vine dew sounded even more extraordinary.
"Will taking it hurt you?" she asked quickly when she noticed his hesitation. "If that’s the case, then I don’t want it."
Could vine dew be something like Yuel’s blood? If that were true, Rory absolutely refused to take it.
Yuel rose and walked over to her. Without another word, he lowered his head and kissed her lips.
"It won’t hurt me," he murmured softly. "It just requires you to collect it yourself..."
"Hm?"
Yuel lifted Rory and set her gently on the bed. His warm hand guided hers beneath the hem of his clothing, resting first against the firm muscles of his abdomen—then slowly moving lower.
The moment Rory’s fingertips brushed his belt, she jerked her hand back as if burned.
Yuel chuckled quietly. Catching her slender wrist, he pressed her palm back against his waist.
"Weren’t you asking about vine dew?" His voice dropped, threaded with quiet temptation. "It’s right here."
Rory’s lashes trembled as realization dawned.
So that was what he meant by vine dew.
"But you said you’re blooming today, so you can’t..."
Yuel lifted his lips from hers, but didn’t move far. Instead, he followed the trembling line of her jaw with light kisses until he reached her ear.
His warm breath brushed against the sensitive curve, sending a faint shiver through her.
"When a plant-type ability user blooms, it only means we cannot bond," he murmured, his voice soft as velvet dipped in honey. "But vine dew... you can take as much as you want."
Truthfully, Yuel had wanted this for a long time.
More than once before, he had nearly lost control.
But back then, Rory hadn’t bonded with any of them yet. He didn’t dare go too far.
At most, he had only allowed himself to feel the warmth of her palm.
Now things were different.
Guiding her hand again, Yuel slid it beneath his clothing.
The moment Rory’s fingers slipped inside, Yuel gave a muffled groan, his throat tightening as he pressed her hand more firmly against him.
"Rory... gently," he whispered, voice strained. "When blooming... this place is sensitive..."
Rory’s ears flushed red.
Forget the vine dew—this man clearly meant something else entirely.
The room slowly filled with the fragrance of flowers.
Again and again, vine dew was drawn.
If time had not been so short, Yuel might have continued.
He didn’t even care if it left him completely drained.
At last, he glanced at the time. Reluctantly, he leaned down and kissed Rory’s cheek.
"Rory, Vincent and I have discussed something."
"If this mission keeps us away for a long time... you don’t have to wait for us. You can bond with Xarion first."
The memory of Xarion losing control of his abilities still lingered in Yuel’s mind.
If he and Vincent both left and Xarion lost control again, Rory could be in danger.
But if she bonded with Xarion sooner, she could stabilize him completely and prevent another outburst.
Yuel knew she tried to be fair to all of them.
Whenever she made a promise, she always tried her best to fulfill it.
Lowering his voice near her ear, he whispered,
"Rory, I don’t care what number I am. I only want you safe... and waiting at home when I come back."
Rory pulled him into a firm kiss.
"I’ll be safe," she said quietly. "And you must come back safe too. I’ll be waiting for you."
By the time they stepped outside, the sky had already darkened.
When Vincent returned to the house, Rory had just come out of Yuel’s room.
The moment he saw her, he hurried over and wrapped her in a tight embrace.
"Rory, did Yuel tell you everything?"
She nodded.
"He did. I’ll stay home and wait for you both. But you have to come back safely."
"Don’t worry," Vincent said with a confident grin. "I’m Rank eleven now. I won’t end up in such a miserable state again."
The incident with Coalball had become the second prince’s greatest lifelong embarrassment.
"I’ll protect myself—and Yuel."
"I believe you." Rory leaned forward and planted a firm kiss on his cheek. "You need to pack, right? I’ll prepare some things for you too. Wait for me."
With that, she hurried back to her room.
She took out the flower petals Yuel had given her. She had originally wanted him to keep them, since he would need them more on the battlefield.
But Yuel had refused.
So Rory kept a few petals for herself and divided the rest into two portions—one for Yuel, one for Vincent.
Then she added potions, beast cores, nutrient packs...
Anything the household had, she prepared some for both of them.
Especially beast cores.
She packed a large supply.
Once everything was sorted into two spatial rings, Rory carried them to Vincent’s study.
He and Yuel were inside discussing something.
When Rory entered, Yuel immediately smiled, took the ring she handed him, and said to Vincent,
"I’ll wait outside for you. Hurry up."
