Insect Tamer's Ascension-Chapter 370. Evaluation by the Royals (1)
After everything was done and Theo got to know of the fact that the servant who was allotted to clean the terrarium room confessed that she did not go inside the big terrarium.
Theo became a little strict with her, he needed people to know that if a job is given to someone, it is necessary to complete it no matter what.
When that was over, Theo bathed in a good bath after a long time and then went to bed early. The family dinner was cancelled because the baron had something to do.
And nobody had any problem with it as they were used to it. They were promised the dinner after the royal orders were completed and everyone agreed to that too.
When Theo lay on the soft bed, it felt really good for a while, the comfort was extremely relaxing.
But there was this feeling in his heart he could not explain.
’I don’t feel satisfied in this luxury... why do I want to go back to the camp hut?’ Theo asked himself and had an inward laugh.
’Here a person would kill for having this luxurious living space and me, on the other hand, want to live outside.’
Just while thinking about all that, he went to sleep.
Even though he didn’t feel like sleeping here, his body felt relieved to have such a bed.
And Theo woke up when the first ray of the sun fell into his room.
A habit he acquired while living in the camp, he quickly got up and took a nice bath first thing in the morning.
Clara, too, came back an hour later and prepared the best dish Theo could have eaten.
After that, Theo got ready while Clara and Elias wore the best attendant uniforms the castle could get them.
When Alfred came to escort them out, he was surprised to see a big container where Theo was blatantly showing off the ants.
The time of hiding his beasts was gone now, they were powerful enough to shut down anyone’s mouth.
Though, all the knights that saw Theo were different. They didn’t care about what beast Theo had.
In their eyes, he was the only one that needed to fight anyway, and the rumours of him getting aura were also circulated very quickly.
When Theo got out of the castle and started going down the stairs, he saw both his parents seated on a lavish bench with really good clothes.
The baroness was wearing an emerald-coloured dress that matched really well with her skin tone while the baron was not in armour for the first time.
When they saw Theo going down the stairs, they waited for him to get near to look at what Theo was wearing.
"Hmm... Good." The baron kept a hand on his chin and smirked, the suit fitted well on Theo’s body now and one could tell that he was very fit and muscular underneath it.
There was a sharp aura around Theo that came from his clean look and the eyes that seemed to be smiling.
The baroness nodded in pride as if appreciating the fact that her son now looked very handsome.
"Let’s go," the baron spoke and got up.
The man went toward the only golden carriage in front of the castle.
Theo appreciated the fact that the carriage was drawn by a beast that was a close relative of the griffons.
It seemed the highest-grade beast the castle owned had now become better.
They got inside it and started their journey again. Not one of the siblings came to see Theo off and he didn’t mind it.
They were very busy individuals who couldn’t do anything when Theo was gone as one needed to protect the family more than completing selfish tasks.
But that was not the case anymore.
The travel was around 12 hours without a break, and Theo decided to practice a little bit of his Hive Link.
He became curious and asked the ant queen if he could join the hive while he would be away from it in the future, and the answer was simple, he could do until he stayed in the range.
"I will be back in a few minutes," Theo spoke, making the baron open one of his eyes while the baroness became surprised.
Clara and Elias looked at Theo and then at the baroness, they could tell what he was about to do and the fact that the baroness didn’t know what it was made them feel like starting to explain right now.
"My lady," Clara spoke after making eye contact with Elias.
When she got her attention, she quickly spoke, "Please don’t panic, but young master Theo’s ey-"
Before she could even complete her sentence, Theo’s face jerked back and slammed against the cushion of the seat.
The baroness instinctively got up to help him but when she got too close, her eyes widened in panic and shock.
"H-His eyes!" She shouted, "They are golden, honey!" She shouted again while looking at the baron, who sighed.
"Calm down, Seraphina. I will explain."
And just like that, while Clara helped stabilize Theo’s head that moved left and right because of the uneven roads, the baron explained to the baroness about the ability that Theo got while in the gate.
The more the baron explained, the more the baroness felt like things had become a lot more chaotic than what she realized or knew about.
After a few minutes, Theo felt his mind straining and the connection between him and the hive loosen before it was shut down completely.
The golden in his eyes vanished and what Theo saw first was the angry face of his mother.
"So, do you have a headache now?" the baroness spoke with that same smile on her face, the one Theo knew was fake.
"I- I don’t get a headache in a few minutes now, mother... It takes a while," Theo spoke, making the baron nod.
"Tell me everything that happened in the gate... aside from this Hive Link skill... and don’t forget to be DETAILED. Alright, my dear son?"
Theo didn’t get a headache from the skill but he was sure he was going to get one after explaining everything.
It was going to be a long ride.
