Chapter 514: Chapter 514: Guile the Soldier

In the early hours of the next morning, a group of people strode down the street.

Chun-Li, dressed in her iconic qipao training outfit with her signature twin buns, walked at the front, chatting and laughing with Mai Shiranui.

Behind them was Qin Ming, expression deadpan, holding an unknown object tightly under his arm.

That "object" was none other than Kasamoto Eri, whose neck was trapped in the crook of Qin Ming’s arm, her feet completely off the ground as she dangled helplessly. She flailed and slapped at his arm in a panic, gasping out pleas.

"Boss! Boss! Keh I was wrong, Boss! Let me go! I can’t breathe!"

But Qin Ming, stone-faced, completely ignored her cries and even tightened his grip further.

"You threw me under the bus the second things got awkward, huh?! It’s like a damn reflex now! You’re a real loyal lackey, aren’t you, Kasamoto Eri?!"

"Boss! Please, Boss! Spare me, Boss!" ƒreewebɳovel.com

"Oh, now you’re scared? Where was that sense of fear earlier? I swear, I ought to grab your legs and rip you in half!"

"Eh? You can’t do that, Boss! I still need those!"

"Shut up! One more word and I’ll fold you into a suitcase!"

While scolding her, Qin Ming gave her a good shake.

Dangling with her legs in the air, Kasamoto Eri’s eyes rolled back as she was jostled about like a rag doll.

Chun-Li, who’d long noticed what was going on behind her, kept turning her head to try and say something—but each time, Mai stopped her with a wave of her fan.

Still, Chun-Li finally couldn’t hold it in. Watching Eri being whipped around like a plush toy, she frowned and leaned toward Mai to whisper.

"Shouldn’t we... stop them?"

Mai didn’t even turn her head. She just flicked her fan casually.

"No need. Don’t worry—they’re just playing around."

"Playing around?! That’s what you call this?!"

"Oh please, you’re just not used to it. This is mild, really. You haven’t even seen the intense stuff yet. Especially those two freaks, Mature and Vice—I’m positive those girls have some kind of mental problem. No wonder they get along so well with my junior brother!"

"Mature and Vice?"

"Yeah, those two are my defeated underlings. They’re strong, though—and total degenerates. Always together. If you ever see them, run. I mean it."

As she spoke, Mai glanced down at Chun-Li’s legs—particularly those famously thick thighs—and couldn’t help clicking her tongue before adding:

"Otherwise, with those legs of yours, they could probably keep themselves entertained for a whole year."

The mention of her legs again made Chun-Li instinctively tug her skirt down, forcing a polite but strained smile onto her face as she hastily changed the subject.

"We’re almost there. I’ll introduce you to my partner—Guile, a U.S. Special Forces soldier."

With that, she led them into another hotel. After locating the right room, she pushed the door open.

Inside stood a Western man wearing a short-sleeved shirt that showed off his bulging muscles. Most notably, his hair stood straight up like a broom, forming his signature high flat-top.

This man was none other than one of the main characters of the Street Fighter world—a powerful military expert who had appeared in nearly every installment:

Guile the Soldier!

[Name: Guile]

[Strength: 60]

[Constitution: 60]

[Agility: 30]

[Spirit: 50]

[Skills: Military Combat Arts (A-Rank), Sonic Boom Knifehand (C-Rank), Supersonic Knifehand (A-Rank), Guile Hurricane (B-Rank)]

[Bio: The legendary "Broom-Head"! The man who once tried to counter a Hadouken head-on with a Sonic Boom—and failed due to no charge time!]

Seeing Chun-Li arrive, and noticing she had brought a group of strangers, Guile stood up with a puzzled expression.

Chun-Li quickly stepped forward and began explaining the situation, detailing everything that had happened the previous day.

Standing by the door, Qin Ming observed Guile’s stat sheet through his sunglasses. The corner of his mouth curled up in a nostalgic smile.

The Sonic Boom Knifehand, huh... now that’s a move I know like the back of my hand.

That was the very first skill he used to build his name back in the day.

He hadn’t expected that one day he’d meet the originator of that technique in person.

By now, Guile had learned what happened from Chun-Li. The moment he found out that Balrog—one of Shadaloo’s Four Kings—had been killed, his eyes lit up and he quickly approached the group, warmly extending a hand.

"Pleasure to meet you all. I’m Guile. I’ve been assigned to assist Interpol in investigating the secret organization operating here."

Qin Ming reached out and shook his hand with a smile.

"Likewise."

Being from the military, Guile was direct to a fault—he simply didn’t know how to hide his emotions.

This personality trait had caused frequent clashes with Chun-Li when they first started working together.

Guile had originally assumed Chun-Li was just a pretty face sent over from Interpol who’d only get in his way during missions. He had little patience for anyone he thought couldn’t pull their weight—especially since he was in a rush to find his missing comrade.

Naturally, Chun-Li didn’t take this attitude lying down. The two butted heads like roosters in a cockfight every time they met.

But after going through multiple missions together—raiding several of Shadaloo’s hidden bases, saving each other’s lives, and gradually earning one another’s respect—they finally set aside their prejudices and became true allies.

For Qin Ming and the others, there was no need to go through that same process. Since Guile trusted Chun-Li, he would naturally trust anyone Chun-Li brought along.

And if Chun-Li vouched for them, then they had to be formidable.

Turning to grab his laptop, Guile pointed to some documents on the screen, his expression serious.

"I’ve all but confirmed the location of Shadaloo’s headquarters in this area. We’re ready to move in at any time to dismantle their operation. I just don’t know if Chun-Li’s missing father or my missing friend are there."

At the mention of this, Guile sighed heavily, and Chun-Li’s face turned sorrowful.

Seeing the mood shift, Qin Ming twitched an eyebrow, unsure of how to offer comfort.

What could he say? Should he just blurt out the truth and spoil everything for them?

"Hey, don’t get your hopes up. Chun-Li, give it up—your dad’s been dead a long time. Got beaten to death by a tag team of twelve lunatic women codenamed ’December.’ It was a brutal mess."

"And Guile, your pal Nash? Yeah, he’s not dead, but he has been brainwashed and turned into a hired killer. Been working with Bison doing all sorts of shady crap lately."

If he said that out loud, Guile and Chun-Li would definitely lose it on the spot.

But Qin Ming wasn’t worried that they couldn’t handle it emotionally. Guile was a hardened soldier with incredible mental fortitude—this level of trauma was nothing to him.

And while Chun-Li wasn’t military, she was one tough woman. In terms of sheer willpower, she could easily rank in the top five across the entire Street Fighter universe.

She once learned the truth about her father’s death just moments before confronting the killer face-to-face. She beat the guy within an inch of his life—then suddenly noticed something off, stopped herself, and later discovered he’d been brainwashed.

Instead of holding a grudge, she forgave him and helped him turn his life around.

That’s not being soft—that’s not some bleeding-heart saint routine.

Because when Chun-Li fights villains, she goes hard. No holding back.

She’s just a person of pure integrity—clear in her morals and emotions.

In another era, she’d definitely be the nüxia type—a true heroine of righteousness.

So if you think you can mentally break her with a little tragedy? You’re dreaming.

Unless you kill her outright, she’ll keep getting back up like one of those hot-blooded anime protagonists—again and again—until she grinds you into the dirt.

I mean, think about it. She’s just a second-tier martial artist, yet she’s constantly involved in major world-threatening events, always walks away unharmed, and even manages to save people—sometimes even the entire world.

You really think someone like that doesn’t have some hidden talents?
