Infinite Wealth System: Crazy Tasks, Insane Rewards!-Chapter 17: Seduction and Connection
Chapter 17: Seduction and Connection
Jayden bit his lips. "What the heck is 'hide the sausage'?!"
> [Perhaps you'll see. It depends on if you complete the task or not. Good luck, host.]
Jayden's eyes turned faint as he heaved a deep sigh. He never knew a task like this would come at this moment, but he had always known he would have to encounter things like this after the system's Harem feature was unlocked.
[Duration: 12 Hours.]
[Additional Rewards: +2 Wealth Points. +1 Skill.]
Aside from the seven million dollar reward and the additions to his attributes, the system was actually going to grant him two Wealth Points, which he knew had great value, and a skill...
A skill... Jayden really hadn't understood what good a skill would do him, but he knew it was another tool to greatness.
While the task was a crazy one, the rewards were insane.
"Seven million just to f**k a nurse??? I'd do it!"
Jayden looked forward to completing the task that day. He had lunch late, around 4:30 PM, and then went to take his bath.
After changing into new clothes, he went ahead and dialed Nurse Temi's number.
[Phone ringing...]
It took a while before she picked up.
"Hello? Jayden?" Temi asked.
Jayden nodded. "Hey... yeah, sorry to call this late. I'm feeling a little off. Tightness in my chest again. Thought it went away, but it's back."
"You should come to the infirmary," she replied with an almost cold voice.
"I don't think I can make it there without collapsing. Can you... maybe come check on me here? Just for a minute?" Jayden lied, but he tried to show absolute seriousness.
He made sure his voice reflected everything he lied about.
"Your apartment?" Nurse Temi questioned as her tone changed.
"Yeah. Please, Nurse Temi. I wouldn't call if it wasn't serious," Jayden persuaded.
A short pause happened on her end, leaving Jayden's heart on pause as well for a while.
"...Alright. Text me the address again. I'm on my way."
Then she finally agreed, and Jayden's eyes brightened. A smile crossed his lips as he smirked.
First move done!
"Thank you," Jayden said before ending the call.
"Phew," Jayden placed both hands on his waist. Then with a new thought striking his head, he quickly began to arrange his room.
His room was already a mess since he hadn't gotten much time to clean it up these days, but today, he had definitely gotten enough time—he just had to do it quickly.
In a moment, he was done.
...
Jayden sat on the edge of his bed, a towel draped loosely around his neck, his skin still damp from the shower he'd just taken. The air in the apartment smelled faintly of sandalwood and a cinnamon candle he'd lit on purpose. The soft hum of jazz played in the background, low enough not to distract but just loud enough to fill the silence.
He glanced at his phone. 6:47 PM.
She was late.
Or maybe cautious, he guessed.
Either way, it worked to his advantage. It gave him time to rehearse the lines he wasn't exactly planning but was ready to improvise, depending on her responses.
Task Seven was clear: create a believable emergency, lure Nurse Temi to his private space, and, if successful, seduce her enough to raise her affection to 60%. That number haunted him like a scoreboard, ticking just out of reach.
A soft knock echoed through the apartment the next moment before he knew it.
He took a deep breath, stood, and walked to the door, making sure the towel still clung to his neck casually. When he opened it, she stood there... Nurse Temi, dressed not in her clinical whites but in a simple blouse and jeans, her satchel slung across her chest. She looked around the hallway once before meeting his gaze.
"I don't usually make house calls," she said.
Jayden smiled. "Yeah, I figured. But you said to call if anything felt strange again. And this time, it really did."
She stepped in, eyes sweeping across the apartment. It was neater than expected. Clean, minimalist.
"You sounded urgent on the phone," she said.
Jayden shut the door gently behind her. "Yeah, I was feeling that tightness in my chest again. Got lightheaded after the shower. I didn't want to walk all the way back to the infirmary in case I fainted."
She raised a brow. "So your first idea was to call me?"
"I trust you," he said simply.
Temi blinked, then gave a short breath and dropped her bag on the nearby couch.
"Alright. Sit down."
Jayden moved back to the couch, sitting as she pulled out a small portable kit and a stethoscope. She knelt slightly to check his pulse, her hand brushing against his wrist.
"You really should've come to the infirmary," she murmured as she counted his heartbeat.
"I know. But I was hoping for something a little... warmer," Jayden said with a smirk.
She looked up. "Jayden."
"What?" He smiled, soft and disarming. "You're not exactly the coldest person in the room."
Temi clicked her tongue but didn't pull away immediately.
"This better not be some kind of prank," she warned clearly.
"No prank. You think I'd splash water on my face, fake shortness of breath, and invite you to my apartment just to flirt with you?" He paused. "Okay, maybe it sounds like something I'd do..."
Jayden nodded. Actually, that was a great lie anyway... He just hoped he would've gone far before she noticed.
Temi gave him a look.
"But this time, I really did feel weird," he added with a grin. "Maybe I just needed to see someone who made me feel safe."
Temi's hand stilled as she rolled her eyes at him... She gave a slight glare in that moment.
"You really are something," she said under her breath, more amused than angry.
Jayden shrugged. "I get that a lot."
She stood, tucking the stethoscope back into her bag. "Your vitals are normal. No sign of any chest issues. Whatever it was, it's passed."
"Maybe you're my cure," Jayden said, and this time, his voice lowered—less teasing, more sincere.
Temi gave him a sharp look but didn't reply to that. She only moved to the couch to sit and jot notes in a small pad. "You should eat better. Drink more water. Sleep earlier."
Jayden gave her a stare and nodded, leaning back on the couch, watching her. "Maybe I would... if I had someone around to remind me."
Her pen stopped. Just for a moment.
Jayden stood slowly and walked to the kitchen, pouring two glasses of cold water. He handed her one without asking.
She took it.
"You didn't have to come," he said. "You could've just said no, or told me to visit the infirmary in the morning."
Temi looked at him. "I know."
"So why did you?"
Silence rose again. A kind of tension—not hostile, just unsure.
"Because... I wanted to know if you were actually okay," she said quietly after hesitating for quite a while. "You looked like someone who didn't have many people checking in on him."
Jayden nodded slowly... That statement hit him hard. "You are right. I don't."
She took a sip from the glass. "Well, maybe don't fake emergencies next time. Just say you want to talk," she said.
It was clear she already doubted that he was actually having chest pain.
"Would you have come?"
She gave a reluctant smile. "Maybe."
The conversation drifted after that. Jayden changed into a clean shirt, still slightly damp around the collar. They talked about random things... Campus gossip, how strict the medical board was, how Jayden hated the taste of hospital food.
The jazz continued in the background.
And Temi stayed. Even when she finished her water. Even when it was clear he was fine.
She stayed.
And Jayden knew the task was going better than expected.
Because for once, it didn't feel like seduction.
It felt like connection.
And in the next moment, Jayden shifted close to her...
There was only a slight gap.
Temi swallowed, shifting slightly in her seat.
"You're... playing a dangerous game, Jayden," she said with a breaking voice.
Jayden smiled, warm but bold. "Only if you don't want to play it with me."
The silence that followed was heavier. Her breath hitched, and for the first time, she didn't move away when his fingers brushed hers.
It was as if time had paused for a moment, and before they knew it, there was no longer a inch space between their lips, as Jayden grabbed and pulled her softly toward himself.
