Infinite Rewards Harem System: My Rewards are x10,000-Chapter 34: The Rendbound Order
"We’re finally here. You did great." Nyashara giggled.
Her laughter bubbled up light and teasing, cutting through the early morning haze that clung to the winding cobblestone path. The sun was bright and warm, painting the clear sky in a sea blue expanse.
Right now Terrence was dressed as a green disgusting and revolting slime monster.
The costume was a masterpiece of deliberate hideousness. It was a bulbous, translucent-green bodysuit that jiggled with every step, embedded with fake bubbling pustules that glowed sickly yellow under the light. Gooey tendrils dangled from the "shoulders," dripping viscous slime that fizzed and evaporated on contact with the ground. The headpiece was a hooded blob with cartoonish googly eyes and a wide, toothy maw that flopped open and shut with each breath. It smelled faintly of cheap latex and the chemical citrus of whatever glow-in-the-dark gel they’d slathered on.
Reason for this is because they wanted him to draw zero attention to themselves and it made for a smooth walk to their guild.
The disguise had worked almost too well. Monsters and humans gave the shambling slime a wide berth. Mothers yanked children behind them, street vendors pretended not to see, and a pack of low-tier Awakeners crossed the road rather than share the sidewalk. No one looked twice at the three "normal" companions trailing behind the monstrosity. There were no fangirl swarms. No guild recruiters. Just peaceful anonymity for once.
"Agh! Didn’t know you were that good of an actor Terrence." Crank said with a chuckle. "Next time try not to scare the kids away."
"Wasn’t that the point of this costume?" Terrence laughed as well, voice more echoed.
The echo came from the costume’s built-in voice modulator. It was deep, wet, and gurgling, like someone speaking through a mouthful of gelatin. It made every word sound vaguely underwater and sinister, which only added to the comedy of Terrence’s exaggerated slime-waddle.
"You two-" Happy shook her head with a smile. "Welcome Terrence to the Rendbound Order!"
She gestured grandly with both skeletal arms as they crested the final rise. The guildhall loomed ahead like a fortress plucked from a dark fairy tale.
The Rendbound Order was like a medium-sized dark grey and red castle with red flags and gemstones decorating it. A large banner with the name and guild insignia was on it as well.
Thick stone walls rose four stories, weathered granite veined with crimson crystal that pulsed faintly in time with some unseen heartbeat. Crimson banners snapped in the breeze, embroidered with the guild sigil: a stylized rend-tear encircled by chains and thorns. Massive rubies and garnets were mortared into the battlements like watchful eyes, catching the dying light and throwing bloody sparkles across the courtyard. Torches in iron sconces flickered to life automatically as shadows lengthened, their flames an unnatural steady red.
Honestly, it reminded him of something from Fairy Tail.
The vibe was pure guild-hall fantasy—grand, slightly intimidating, but lived-in. Not the sterile corporate towers of the top-tier kingdoms, but something warmer, rougher, more personal.
Terrence unequipped the slime costume and watched as Happy opened the large bright red doors fror them.
With a thought and a soft chime only he could hear, the slime suit dissolved into motes of green light that spiraled into his inventory. Underneath: the same dark blue dry-fit and black pants from earlier, now faintly steaming from the costume’s residual heat. He rolled his shoulders, grateful for real air again.
Nyashara and Crank entered first. Then Terrence entered last.
The guildhall was vast with various monsters and a couple of humans sitting and chatting at wooden tables.
Likely waiting to be announced the higher tiered Rends they would enter.
The interior opened into a cavernous great hall lit by floating crimson orbs and wall-mounted braziers. Long trestle tables stretched the length of the room, scarred from years of tankards, daggers, and the occasional brawl. A roaring hearth dominated one wall, flames dancing purple and gold. Adventurers of every description lounged or leaned: lizardfolk sharpening blades, harpies perched on rafters gossiping, a cluster of humans poring over a glowing map, a lone cyclops nursing a barrel-sized mug. The air smelled of woodsmoke, spiced ale, roasted meat, and the faint electric buzz of anticipation. Likely everyone waiting for the assignment board to light up with today’s high-tier Rend drops.
"Well look who finally decided to show up-" Someone immediately called out to them, not noticing Terrence yet. "Bones, deadface, and the sly fox herself."
The monster in question sat a wooden table not that far away and wore a smart smirk.
He was a 6’5 muscular Minotaur with gold and white luxurious armor and had a large black and blood red battle axe strapped to his back.
It was like if Teros from Brawlhala ate trenbologne sandwiches.
Broad shoulders strained against ornate pauldrons etched with golden runes. White-and-gold plates gleamed under the firelight, polished to a mirror shine despite the visible dents and scratches that spoke of real combat. The axe on his back was monstrous—double-headed, black haft wrapped in crimson leather, blades etched with glowing blood-runes that pulsed like veins. His fur was a deep chestnut, horns swept back and tipped in gold caps. Amber eyes glinted with lazy confidence as he leaned back, one hoof propped on an adjacent bench.
"Heh nice to see you too Minoturd." Nyashara smirked. "But you’re forgetting one more."
"Ha who else is it-"
Terrence stepped forward with a wide smirk on his face.
The room’s ambient chatter stuttered. Heads turned. Conversations died mid-sentence. Even the crackle of the hearth seemed to hush.
Everyone paused what they were doing and focused on him in surprise.
"I’m sure you’ve all might’ve seen my face once, but if you haven’t, I’m Terrence Danbrose."
A couple seconds passed and Terrence looked at everyone and noticed they were still unmoving and shocked at his presence.
"What? Was it something I sai-"
"KYAAAAAA!!"
Terrence looked bewildered as he felt multiple bumps.
"He’s even much more hotter up close!" A long black haired red eyed vampire yelled while tightly hugging him. "And smells sooo good!"
The vampire—Ash, apparently—latched on like a limpet, arms locked around his waist, face buried against his chest. Her crimson eyes sparkled with manic delight as she inhaled deeply. Long obsidian hair cascaded over his shoulder like spilled ink.
"Psh Ash move he’s mine! I saw him first!" She was shoved to the side by a much taller 6’7 long white haired and sea blue eyed beast girl. She had fluffy white ears on top of her head and was extremely curvaceous. She blushed as she shyly stepped towards Terrence with a cute smile.
The beast girl—Crystal—towered even over most of the hall’s occupants. Snow-white hair fell in silky waves to her waist, fluffy wolf ears twitching nervously. Sea-blue eyes shimmered with a mix of awe and embarrassment. Her figure was all generous curves wrapped in fitted leather armor that somehow managed to look both practical and distracting.
"U-Um hi, I’m Crystal and I’m a big fan of you." She stuttered out nervously. She wasn’t used to being the one towered over and him being absolutely handsome didn’t help her case one bit.
Terrence smiled then stepped forward and gently grabbed her hand. "You’re beautiful Crystal. It’s a pleasure to meet you."
He placed a gentleman’s kiss on her hand for added effect.
The contact was feather-light, lips brushing knuckles. Crystal froze. Her ears flattened. Cheeks blazed scarlet.
"EEEEIII!!" The beyond flustered Crystal squeaked and then bear slapped Terrence to the side, making him comically shoot over and crash into the wall.
He hit the stone with a cartoonish thud, sliding down a foot before regaining footing. Plaster dust puffed around him. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Nyashara, Happy, and Crank laughed hard.
Crank wheezed so hard his mandibles rattled. Happy’s bones clacked like applause. Nyashara doubled over, tails whipping in delight.
"He looks strong.." An ogre named Apocalypse said. "maybe even will give you a run for your money huh Zoros?"
The ogre—built like a small mountain—nodded toward Terrence with grudging respect, tusks gleaming.
Zoros shook his head slowly and focused on Terrence. His amber vampire slit eyes, narrowing. He brushed a strand of his long black hair out of the way.
’Who are you really and where exactly did you come from?’
The Minotaur’s gaze was sharp now, calculating, and no longer playful.
Stars spun around Terrence’s head.
He pushed off the wall, rubbing his shoulder with exaggerated drama.
"I had a feeling in my gut waking up that today would be an interesting day.."
Terrence glanced up and his eyes met two amused pink ones.
"But this interesting? I would’ve never guessed."
A figure stepped from the upper balcony, descending the wide staircase with deliberate grace. Long light pink hair flowed like liquid moonlight, pink eyes glowing faintly with inner power. She wore flowing crimson-and-black robes edged in gold thread, a circlet of dark crystal resting on her brow. The air around her shimmered with quiet authority.
"Guildmaster Beatrice!!"
