Infinite Dragon Beast: Taming Ice Dragons with SSS Ranked Talent-Chapter 118: Light for Rachel
"HAHA! You pathetic human! Are you sure you can defeat me?"
Aiden raised his head, his eyes burning with confidence. His hands were clenched tightly, golden light shining from his body.
The dragon fell silent, then breathed black dust forward, which had the power to turn flesh to ash.
Yet, that did not scare Aiden. Instead, he pointed his right hand forward to emit a dazzling light. From his palm, he created chains of light using his mind and magical energy.
The chains of light bound the shadow dragon, making it difficult to move or attack. Just as the dragon was under his control, Aiden clenched his fist, causing a small explosion of light to burst from his palm.
The shadow dragon roared loudly, filling the area with noise. The shadow dragon felt pain as the light chains binding its body released heat energy, as if burning the dragon’s body.
"Light power?! Could you be—"
The Shadow Dragon’s eyes saw the beast taming pattern on Aiden’s palm, then roared loudly again, shaking the walls and shattering the window glass.
"Good!"
"You are the master of my daughter!"
"Very good!"
"Stop talking!" Aiden said firmly.
He directed his right hand downward, forcing the dragon to enter Rachel’s body. At first, the shadow dragon seemed to resist, but the light power from Aiden’s hand managed to make it enter and integrate with Rachel.
Rachel’s body weakened, along with the fading and disappearing pressure of the dark magic. Aiden was finally free, but he wasn’t done with Rachel yet.
After putting King Villar’s Shadow Dragon into Rachel’s body, Aiden removed the chains and walked toward her, who was sitting on her knees, her eyes still filled with dark energy.
"Now, it’s your turn to control your father’s power," Aiden replied.
Aiden touched Rachel’s forehead, flowing light magic energy into her body. Aurora and Amber stopped their magic after sensing no further threat. They both stepped back and watched Aiden focus on helping Rachel.
Deep within Rachel’s consciousness, the girl sat alone in a dark space with no one else around. Rachel looked like a lonely 7-year-old girl, longing for her family.
"Someone... please stay with me," Rachel whispered.
In the midst of the cold, silent darkness, a ray of light suddenly appeared, piercing through the black clouds.
The light shone toward Rachel, bringing the warmth she had been longing for. She lifted her head and saw a handsome young man floating in the sky.
The warm light emanated from his body; the young man had come like a savior to light up the darkness.
"Rachel?" Aiden greets her softly.
"Who are you?" Rachel asks sadly.
"I’m your friend."
"Friend?"
Aiden continues to fly low toward Rachel. The closer he flies to her, the more the darkness fades away. Rachel realized it; the warmth from the young man’s light had dispelled all her fear.
Just as Aiden touched the ground, all the dark shadows vanished, replaced by a vast green plain filled with blooming flowers. Rachel gasped, then stood up, wiping her tears.
A bright smile spread across the girl’s face. She ran around, enjoying the softness and warmth. She rolled down the hillside and repeated it several times. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
"I love this place," said Rachel, smiling broadly.
"Rachel?" greeted a man dressed in a black nobleman’s robe with a black crown on his head.
Every time he took a step, his long noble robe swept across the grass and flowers in the area. Rachel turned her head and saw two men standing in front of her.
"Who are you?" asked Rachel.
"That doesn’t matter now," replied Villar, Rachel’s father.
Villar stepped past Aiden and stood in front of Rachel. At first, Rachel looked scared, but for some reason, she felt a strong connection between herself and the man. Little Rachel didn’t know anything.
"I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you. You must have gone through many difficult things, my Rachel," replied Villar.
From Villar’s hand, a black dragon-shaped necklace containing his power appeared. He handed the necklace to Rachel, who accepted it without hesitation.
"Is this for me?" Rachel asked innocently.
"Yes. Keep it safe. The young man over there will explain everything to you later."
"Who is he really?" Rachel asked Villar.
"He’s your family now."
Rachel smiled widely, then stepped toward Aiden, who had a warmth about him. She held out her hand, asking Aiden to hold it. Of course, Aiden didn’t refuse, and his hand was really warm.
"Take good care of her," Villar requested.
"I will."
"That necklace possesses some of my power. She can use my power in case of an emergency," Villar replied.
"You only have three times to call upon my power. So use it wisely."
"We understand, Your Majesty.
Aiden bowed his head, Rachel looked at Aiden, then did the same. Villar smiled. Slowly, his body disappeared from that place, turning into small magical particles floating into the necklace Rachel was holding.
Rachel gasped, seeing the black dragon-shaped necklace emit a bright light as the magical particles entered it. Aiden also saw this.
"Rachel," Aiden called, and Rachel turned to him.
"Let’s go home," Aiden whispered.
"Yes. Let’s go home."
In the real world, Aiden opened his eyes and saw the effects of the dark energy on Rachel’s body fading away. Rachel’s eyes returned to normal, with Villar’s necklace attached to her body.
"Aiden?" Rachel greeted him.
"Congratulations! You managed to control the dark energy, Rachel."
Rachel’s face turned red with blushing, she caught a glimpse of the moment when she met the two men in her dream. The man with the warm light looked very similar to Aiden, but Rachel couldn’t be sure.
"Thank you, Master Aiden," said Rachel.
KYUTT!
The sound of Rachel’s stomach growled, a sign that she was hungry after everything that had happened. Aiden chuckled and took out an A-level beast essence from his magic pouch. However, something happened.
"I don’t like beast essence," said Rachel.
"Then what?" asked Aiden.
"I want to eat roast chicken!"
"YEAAH!"
"I knew you’d love roasted chicken," Aurora cheered.
Aiden smiled. He turned around, asking the servants to prepare food for them. The servants nodded, knowing what to do.
"Alright. We’ll have dinner together tonight," Aiden replied.
Rachel smiled widely and nodded, her eyes brimming with tears of joy at wanting this moment so much.
"Sure."
