Chapter 104: The Envoy Master

Amber saw Aiden stumbling into the palace hall. The girl with red hair and dress dared to help Aiden, but Aurora gave her a rude look even though she was Amber. Aurora was still upset with the Fire Dragon Clan’s attitude.

Aiden watched Aurora’s response, then turned to Amber and shook his head, asking her not to make the situation worse.

"You can survive? How impressive, HAHA!" shouted Arthur, his voice still echoing in the place.

"I’m a man of my word. You, speak up!" Arthur insisted, Aiden nodding.

"I’m not from this world. Goddess—"

COUGH!

Before Aiden could finish his words, he coughed up so much blood that it spurted out and dropped on the hall floor.

Leonora acted firmly, and ordered the servants to call the palace physician to help Aiden recover.

"There’s no need ... it’s useless," Aiden explained, bringing Leonora to a halt.

"What do you mean?" Leonora asked.

"I was blessed with specific body abilities by the Goddess Magical Astralis. As such, ordinary magical healing would be useless," Aiden interjected.

"Hmm, does that include your recovery from Arthur’s fatal attack?" Leonora asked.

"Yes," Aiden replied briefly.

Leonora cleared her throat while nodding occasionally. According to other historical records, Envoy Master did have certain abilities that set him apart from others. That ability was not listed on the world’s main magic list.

Even so, there was a need for stronger proof as to whether Aiden was an Envoy Master or not. Words could be deceiving, eyes could be tricked, but magic tools could not be manipulated.

"We need to do further investigation. He may have special abilities related to historical records and prophecies. But magic tools can prove it for sure," Leonora explained.

Arthur turned his head, looking at Amber who sat beside Leonora, "Are you sure that he’s an Envoy Master?"

"I’m sure, Father! The fragment stored in the ruins of the Wasteland Palace has never reacted like that since thousands of years. Isn’t that enough to prove his identity?" asked Amber.

The situation inside the hall became noisy with many elders talking. According to history, the Fire Dragon Clan had been guarding the fragment since thousands of years ago, there had been no signs of it before. But everything changed after Aiden arrived.

Arthur paused, then looked forward again, at Aiden carefully. Arthur’s eyes narrowed as he watched the fatal wound on Aiden’s left chest slowly regenerate until it was completely closed.

’There’s something strange about this kid. He can even tame Amber who is even more temperamental than Azar,’ Arthur explained.

"Then, do you know what the task of the Envoy Master is?" Arthur asked.

"To collect the beast essence of the Fire Dragon Chronos and deliver it to the Goddess Magical Astralis. That’s what I know," Aiden said.

The muscular man before Aiden sighed and shook his head. He rose from his seat on the King’s throne and stepped closer to Aiden, Aurora and Rachel immediately went on alert.

"Indeed, but there is a major task that the Envoy Master must carry out other than collecting the beast essence," Arthur replied.

"What’s that?" asked Aurora.

"Leading the Fire Dragon Clan to become sovereign!" said Arthur.

Aiden gasped, then lowered his head and began coughing up blood again. Goddess Magical Astralis hadn’t said anything to Aiden before about it.

’Is it possible that it’s just a task the Fire Dragon Clan gives to an Envoy Master?’ Aiden asked.

"Handing over the entire fate of the Fire Dragon Clan to a human is very risky. We know best what the clan needs, but as clan members, we cannot resist the will of the prophecy," Arthur replied.

"I have no interest in becoming King! I just want to collect the beast essence and leave this world!" said Aiden.

"HAHAHA!"

"You can say it all you want, but the fact remains that you can’t," Arthur explained, his hands clasped around his waist.

Leonora turned her head, seeing one of the great elders coming in carrying a red box sealed by fire magic chains.

It was a tool that could confirm the truth of Aiden’s words, given by the Goddess Magical Astralis inside a comet.

Arthur and Aiden’s attention was drawn to the side, seeing Leonora come in with the box in her hands.

The fire magic seal that bound the box could only be released by the Fire Dragon King’s emblem.

"Stop talking about that. We need to confirm whether he’s the Envoy Master or not," Leonora explained. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

"Alright." Arthur became a gentle man when his wife spoke to him. He removed his king’s emblem necklace, then began to emit fire magic from his hand absorbed into the emblem.

From it, a crimson laser of fire shot right into the seal. The seal shattered with a small gust of wind.

The red box opened, a translucent meteorite stone floated in the sky of the hall, all the elders and warriors knelt down while bowing their heads, saluting the Fire Dragon Clan’s ancestral artifact.

"What is it?" asked Aurora.

"We call it the Fire Dragon Awakening Stone," Arthur explained.

"According to legend, this stone will only react if it successfully synchronizes with the Envoy Master’s magic. We’ve tried setting up a contest, but all the fire dragon clans couldn’t get this stone to react," Leonora replied, explaining in detail.

"If the legends are true, then you should be able to make this stone react, Aiden," Leonora interjected.

"This is proof for you. If you’re not Envoy Master, I want you to cancel that disgusting contract from my daughter!" Arthur said, knowing about Amber being tamed by Aiden.

Aiden cleared his throat, but his body’s abilities were drastically reduced as a result of using the passive regeneration skill earlier.

To make the stone react, Aiden had to use at least a large amount of his magical energy.

He used a fire elemental gem to restore his magic energy, then pointed two fingers of his right hand upwards. The fire magic energy radiated straight at the translucent stone, waiting for it to react.

For about five minutes, there was no sign of the Fire Dragon Awakening Stone reacting to Aiden’s magic.

Arthur sighed in frustration, cursed and returned to his king’s throne. Amber rose, her eyes rounded in disbelief at Aiden’s failure to make the stone react.

Leonora, however, was different. She still stood before Aiden, continuing to look at the stone. Slowly, a speck of red light appeared on the translucent stone, making Leonora smile widely.

"It’s true!" said Leonora.

Amber, Arthur, and Azar looked in the same direction. They were shocked to see that Aiden had managed to make the translucent stone turn red.

"T-The stone reacted?!" gasped Azar, shocked.

"There’s no mistaking it, he’s the Envoy Master!" declared Arthur, looking at Aiden with regret.

Aiden’s vision was blurry. He suddenly fell and his magic stopped. The Fire Dragon Awakening Stone returned to its original, translucent state.

Apparently, the synchronization of Aiden’s magic with the stone had not been optimal due to Aiden’s injured condition.

Aiden fainted with a cold body, weak and out of energy. Arthur saw Aiden faint, and immediately ordered the healers to bring Aiden for intensive care.

"We finally found the Envoy Master after thousands of years of waiting! I can taste the glory of the Fire Dragon Clan in the near future," Arthur explained.

He turned to Amber, praising his daughter for having such a sharp eye. It was fortunate for her that the Envoy Master had entered into a beast taming contract with Amber.

Leonora was silent. She was happy, but she was also worried about Aiden’s condition. Leonora said goodbye, she would help the palace physician recover Aiden’s condition.

Arthur did not mind. Instead, he told the elders to throw a big party and tell everyone that the Envoy Master had been found.

"Aiden Aswald! You are one of us now."
