"Bitch, it seems now you’re starting to understand your situation more clearly"

Malworon stared at Rahu in silence, his expression hard.

"I never imagined I had to expend more than half of my power against a mortal"

The distorted layers of space around Rahu, constantly overlapping, slowly stabilised. After a moment, they folded back into one, finally converging into Rahu, accepting his presence once again.

The land—no, there wasn’t even a land below. It was unrecognisable...melted, carved and erased from the realm. Only the hundred miles around the Inheritance Tower was intact, on which Karma stood panting.

When Rahu heard Malworon’s words, he smirked, "I too never imagined I would have to use my law against a mere vessel. So, don’t feel down. In fact, you should be honoured to witness one of the Superior Laws"

Malworon clenched his sword tightly in his hand and slowly lowered it. The ring of Authority beneath his feet slowed down its rotation.

He observed his surroundings, and when he observed the Yin and Yang domains around them, his eyes narrowed slightly.

"It seems I underestimated that beast, the obstruction and endurance of that thing is so strong that it is even affecting my Authority a bit", Malworon muttered softly, but soon he returned his gaze toward Rahu.

His gaze sharpened, without warning, Malworon stepped forward.

No light was expended, nor was any technique announced out loud. The distance between them collapsed in an instant.

The same purple sword materialised once again in Rahu’s hand as he adjusted his stance.

CLANG!!

Their swords met at point-blank range; the impact was so monstrous and violent that the Eclipse Domain began to tremble, and the crimson sky above them was split apart.

Malworon pressed forward, his attacks were relentless, his golden blade striking in perfect intervals and vital spots. Every clash that was released contained a blinding radiance that cracked the space around them.

Their speed was so fast that it was impossible to watch them with just the naked eye or even some low-level ocular abilities!

Karma gawked at this scene; her jaw was wide open. The entire crimson sky was split into golden and purple colours. Just looking at them gave her chills.

"What is this level of battle? It’s the first time I’m witnessing such a scene"

A melodious voice echoed behind Karma, as two footsteps echoed. Turning her head back, she saw two beautiful women walking towards her.

"Oh? Aria!" Karma leapt towards Aria.

When Aria saw Karma rushing towards them, she chuckled.

"Aria! How were your adventures? Hehe," Karma spoke as she poked Aria with her nose.

"Well, I almost died a few times. But they were worth it, and hehe, I even obtained a Flame Physique"

She gently ruffled Karma’s silky fur and muttered with a small smile on her face. Hearing her words, Karma nodded happily.

"That’s good to know!"

Then she turned towards Silveria, her face turned a bit strange, "You still alive?"

Silveria’s eye twitched at the remark, but she controlled her emotions.

Pointing towards the sky, she questioned. "Who is that guy? His strength feels almost similar to my grandfather," her voice was incredulous. Just looking at the being for too long gave her a slight headache. And she... is a Soul Tempering Realm cultivator.

Aria too nodded her head. Seeing them, Karma nodded, "It’s normal, because that body contains a wisp of God’s intent"

"G-God’s!?"

Silveria and Aria widened their eyes in horror. Silveria was even more shocked. She knew what that term represented.

"Then is Rahu...??"

"Yes"

Silveria took a deep breath. Her eyes shone as they reflected the tall figure of the handsome man in the sky.

"He...he looks so hot!!!"

The two continued their battle, their clashes echoing throughout the realm. Ducking down, Rahu suddenly thrust his blade forward, "Heh, you sure move around a lot"

KUCHHHKKK!!!

The blow landed squarely on his knees. With a smirk, Rahu raised his leg high, and with monstrous momentum, he smashed his heels straight at the being’s head.

BOOM!!

Malworon was instantly driven backwards, skidding across the ruined ground below. Before stabilising mid-air.

"Pff-Hahahaha!! Mal bastard, why don’t you take a look at your face!" Rahu burst into laughter from high above.

Malworon frowned when he heard that. A small patch of light manifested in front of him. He raised his gaze to look into it. But what he saw in the mirror, made him frown.

A vein popped on his forehead, "You arrogant bastard"

Light began to gather around his head; Severin’s earlier handsome face was nowhere, half of his forehead was caved in, and his golden hair was cut in half.

The entire left side of his head was caved in, and for the first time...A drop of golden blood fell.

Golden and Thin.

Malworon’s expression changed.

The ring beneath his feet flared. This time, there was a deeper shade of gold spinning.

"Radiant Light Authority...Second Regulation"

The entire realm of Inheritance froze! Karma, Silveria and Aria included. The expressions twisted in horror as their hearts skipped a beat. Rahu raised his brows when he saw this, "Heh, so finally decided to get serious, huh?"

He stretched out his hand, and black, eerie tendrils began to spill out from his being.

Gravity spiked high, and the space tightened to an unimaginable degree. Instead of Malworon’s eyes, there was endless light spilling out. Raising his head, he muttered softly.

"Solar Continuum"

The space suddenly narrowed , and endless light flooded the entire realm. No, not as beams or lances—it was an entire plane! A continuous plane, ripping through the space like a large, moving horizon!

Just as Karma was about to shout, she heard a strong voice in her head.

"Karma, retract your domain. Or you’ll die"

She obeyed...hastily. With a snap, the domain surrounding them popped like a bubble!

The entire realm froze for a brief second. The space around Rahu converged once again, but this time it was different.

A pitch-black hand stretched forward into the space above the Inheritance realm, the space surrounding the endless light plane which was frozen. Suddenly moved!

The endless, continuous plane that surrounded Rahu from all sides halted for a brief second. Terrible cracks spread throughout the space. And to Malworon’s horror, the entire continuous plane of light was frozen!

"Hmm, this is still not enough. I guess we have to prepone our plan a bit"

A deep voice echoed throughout the battlefield.

Rahu slowly raised his finger, and a small multicoloured beam tore through the space and struck the inheritance tower!

BOOOM!!!!!!

The beam of the tower with monstrous momentum, Karma furrowed her brows as she glanced up at the tower. Even Silveria and Aria were confused about what he had just done.

The tower suddenly vibrated, and an illusory figure shot out from the top with blinding speed!

"W-What!!?" The figure shouted in horror, but when he glanced around. He froze in horror... literally.

Before he could voice his thoughts, a pitch-black hand caught his neck.

"R-Rahu!?"

"Don’t feel too bad, nothing personal"

Saying that, a wisp of black tendril entered the being. The illusory figure’s entire being blackened.

He stopped talking, he couldn’t talk any further. Slowly, the being started to thin and finally, a second later. He vanished...or more accurately, he, too, turned into a pitch-black tendril and vanished inside Rahu’s body.

"Haah...Sigh, this tower...is truly special," Rahu spoke, the endless light which was frozen, suddenly moved! More accurately. It began to retract! Retreat back into the colossal tower!

"W-What!? How is this possible!?" Malworon stumbled back a few steps, his eyes so wide that two eggs could have been fixed inside them.

"The tower administrator? How...did he devour him? Isn’t that...hisss" Malworon sucked in a cold breath. His legs froze, witnessing the sight in front of him.

"NO! I HAVE TO SOMETHING!!" He shouted, just as he was about to take a step forward. He froze.

Figures began to flicker on the battlefield, around the tower. They were the cultivators of Solterra and Yvaris!

"Huh!? What’s happening?"

"Weren’t we inside the tower?"

"I was just about to touch that mirror? Am I inside a trial or something?"

The cultivators of Solterra and Yvaris gawked at this scene. But suddenly they snapped their heads towards the sky and froze.

"LOOK!! UP IN THE SKY!!"

"W-WHO IS THAT?"

"J-JUST LOOKING AT HIM—FEELS LIKE MY EYES ARE BURNING"

A tall figure floated in the sky. But that wasn’t the main reason they were scared. This being...didn’t feel human at all!

It was pitch black, with creepy white veins all over its body! Only a pair of purple orbs was visible. It was downright eldritch.

A minute or less later, most of the cultivators of Yvaris and Solterra had materialised. All of them were trembling and shouting.

Silveria frowned when she saw this. With a quick estimate, she realised there were a total of three hundred thousand cultivators gathered around the tower.

The numbers were huge.

Malworon was trembling all over; he couldn’t move his body! No...not because of his choice. It was because the space around his body was frozen!

But inwardly, he was screaming!!

"STOOPP!! YOU MONSTROUS, EVIL BASTARD!!!"

Seeing this sight, Rahu smirked. "Malworon, although I wanted to continue our fight further. But this had dragged on long enough. So, just stay there like the dog you are for a few minutes"

A wide, malicious grin spread across Rahu’s face. Looking at the cultivators below, he slowly stretched out his hand.

"Infernal Soul...Devouring"
