Chapter 147: Chapter 147: A Sensation Across the Universe, Joy for Some, Sorrow for Others

Dante chose the fourth item in Zeke’s hand, which was the Warden spawn egg.

This guy knew the charm of raw stats.

For this kind of minor surgery, Zeke didn’t even need a dedicated operating room; he could do it right on the spot.

Saying that, Zeke had already made Dante and Mephiston lie down. If something could be done on the spot, Zeke would absolutely not delay it—mainly because he was prone to forgetting.

"Come on out, Creeper."

He right-clicked the Creeper spawn egg on the ground.

A strange creature spawned into existence, colored green and white all over, with a rectangular torso, an awkward blocky face, and four stubby little legs on its lower half.

Even though there were four or five people present, it inexplicably favored Zeke.

It locked eyes with Zeke, then, pacing with devilish steps, walked toward him step by step.

Sanguinius watched as Zeke raised a shield, keeping his distance from the Creeper while constantly whittling down its health.

"This creature is truly bizarre-looking," Sanguinius commented, observing how the Creeper completely defied biological evolution.

"At least it looks harmless to humans and animals." Guilliman’s mind flipped through every biological text he had ever read, finding no creature that corresponded to it.

Boom! A large crater was blown into the crypt. Zeke hadn’t controlled the distance well while cutting open the Creeper’s chest, triggering its detonation.

"Truly ’harmless’," Sanguinius remarked.

Implanting the organ of a self-destructing creature into one’s own body didn’t seem like a wise choice no matter how you looked at it.

Zeke spawned another Creeper. With Mephiston’s voluntary consent, he opened his chest and implanted an organ called the "Automatic Detonator."

It was a beating green heart.

"The surgery was a success. Once you’ve recovered a bit, I’ll help you add the other Primaris Marine organs."

Zeke pulled Mephiston up and stared, circling his head to take a look.

Excellent, it hadn’t turned green.

His theory was successful: moving the Minecraft creature’s organ to a corner position could effectively suppress the side effect of altering one’s physical appearance.

"How does it feel?"

"A strange sensation. I can mobilize my psychic energy and inject it into a specific part of my body."

Mephiston proved it with his actions.

Majestic psychic energy surged from his body, ultimately converging on a spot in his right chest.

His body seemed to swell slightly, and a special effect flashing alternately between white and dim began to flicker over him.

Even Sanguinius and Guilliman felt a suffocating sense of death at this moment.

"Not enough, it can be even stronger." Mephiston continued to inject psychic energy, while simultaneously conjuring a bolt of lightning with his powers and striking his own right chest.

As for why he used lightning, Mephiston didn’t know either; it was more like an instinct, just like a moth drawn to a flame.

Crackle, crackle. The lightning coursed over Mephiston’s body, forming a membrane of electric light.

The lightning and the explosive power produced a wondrous chemical reaction; the suffocating feeling of the impending explosion grew even more intense, gripping the throats of the other four people present.

A Charged Creeper. Even this works?

Zeke, who feared nothing, raised his Adamantium shield.

The Charged Creeper is a variant of the Creeper. It spawns on the spot when a normal Creeper is struck by lightning and possesses the highest single-hit damage in vanilla Minecraft.

"Mephiston, that’s enough." Sanguinius stood behind Mephiston and stopped his hand.

"This ability will undoubtedly have extremely unpredictable consequences on yourself. With me here, the Blood Angels will no longer have to bleed and weep as they did in the past."

Faced with the Great Angel’s gentleness, Mephiston halted his actions. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"I understand, Lord Primarch," Mephiston’s voice was hoarse. "I just wanted to test this ability, but once it started, it seemed a desire to blow everything to pieces surged in my heart. However, I have already overcome things far more terrifying than this. I will hold fast to my inner self and make the right choices."

Mephiston smiled. He was very satisfied with this ability. When necessary, it would serve as an ultimate trump card to flip the table.

Next was the Warden’s organ, which provided Dante with massive boosts to all overall stats—strength, speed, and health pool.

He could also charge up to emit a sonic boom attack from his mouth.

"There is another unexpected bonus." Zeke pulled out a mirror.

Dante looked into the mirror. His hair, grizzled from 1,500 years of service, had turned golden again, and his entire mental and physical appearance had reverted to his youth.

"Rejuvenation. Primaris Space Marines already live longer, and coupled with the Warden’s stat boosts, your lifespan will definitely exceed imagination," Zeke congratulated him. "Now you can work overtime even more happily in the future."

"It seems your duty is not yet over, Dante. The Blood Angels still need you." Sanguinius also offered his blessing.

The words that followed became a blur. Dante was in a daze. After going around in a massive circle, he was further away from his goal of retirement than ever.

Dante felt someone pushing him. After another blur, he had already arrived outside the Ossuary.

"Chapter Master Dante, what exactly happened inside?" The eyes of the Blood Angels revealed a deep thirst for answers.

In the end, yielding to the reverence of the Primarch’s crypt, they had not barged into the Great Tomb.

Looking at the scene before him, Dante remembered the plan Sanguinius and Guilliman had proclaimed in the Great Tomb.

Sanguinius’s return could not be announced hastily. As a statesman, Guilliman perceived the opportunities and benefits this event could bring.

It could be announced at an appropriate place and time to build better momentum.

The Primarchs are returning! First Guilliman, then Sanguinius. Our Imperium is prospering, unstoppable!

"Notify all successor Chapters of the Blood Angels to proceed to the Hall of the Council of Blood."

Dante announced this message to the gathered Blood Angels, then walked briskly towards the Arx Angelicum.

"Did you guys notice that Chapter Master Dante’s hair has turned dark again, and he looks younger too?"

"That’s a good thing."

Dante didn’t tell anyone the news of the Primarch’s resurrection, but the commotion of the soul fragments gathering had still attracted the attention of many.

In the Red Scar sector, in the smoke-filled skies above the Shield of the Underworld (Cryptus System), hovered an alien ship engraved with sigils.

The Primarch of the Blood Angels has resurrected.

The ship changed direction, altering its destination toward Baal.

"What? That man has returned."

Ka’Bandha’s ceaseless, day-and-night slaughter came to a halt. That figure surfaced in his mind—his smile, his every movement, all of it left him completely captivated.

Damn it, how could such a perfect person exist in this world?

Even if the master of those movements wanted to kill him, Ka’Bandha still couldn’t control his emotions.

He so badly wanted to tear that smile apart.
