I'm Really a Villain-Chapter 1196: Leaving, Block the Way, Stand Up
"Young Master Xu, please wait a moment,” Wu Daozi hurriedly approached with the others.
Xu Zimei turned around, looking at the group with a puzzled expression.
"I am the dean of Nine Ghosts Academy,” Wu Daozi introduced himself first.
"I’ve heard that Young Master Xu intends to join our academy?”
"Where did you hear that?” Xu Zimei frowned and asked.
"That’s not important. Our Nine Ghosts Academy warmly welcomes your arrival,” Wu Daozi said with a smile.
"If you join us, you can directly ascend to become one of the Nine Ghost Sons. At that time, you’ll also have the opportunity to oversee the academy.”
"Not interested,” Xu Zimei waved dismissively as he replied.
"Then what plans does Young Master Xu have next?” Wu Daozi asked.
"I’ll leave the Nine Ghosts Academy and look around,” Xu Zimei replied.
"Dean Wu, you seem particularly interested in me?”
"Staying at the academy wouldn’t be a bad thing, would it? The Ghost God Realm is fraught with dangers. Even the Great Emperors can’t claim invincibility,” Wu Daozi remarked.
"That’s not something for you to worry about, Dean Wu,” Xu Zimei replied.
"You killed Xuan Min and Xuan Quan. If you don’t join the academy, you will be declared an enemy of it,” Ye Mi sneered from the side.
"Oh? Are you going to kill me?” Xu Zimei raised his head and looked at him.
"I know you’re strong, but you should also be aware that our Nine Ghosts Academy is supported by the Nine Mountain Ghost Lords.
The academy itself was founded by Master Kui,” Ye Mi said with a cold snort.
"You think highly of yourself, but how do you compare to the Mountain Ghost Lords?”
"Mountain Ghosts? Last night, I nearly slaughtered a guy named Yan Gui. I wonder if you know him,” Xu Zimei said with a smirk.
"How dare you slander Lord Yan Gui!” Ye Mi’s voice turned icy cold.
"Slander? Rather than wasting my words with you here, why don’t you go ask him yourself?” Xu Zimei replied.
"Lord Yan Gui is incredibly busy and doesn’t have time to come to the academy. You’re likely counting on that, aren’t you?” Ye Mi countered.
"Forget it. You can’t wake a man pretending to be asleep,” Xu Zimei shook his head and replied.
"So what if I killed Xuan Quan and the others?
Today, I’ll wait right here. Feel free to bring reinforcements and give it a try.”
"You…!” Ye Mi pointed angrily at Xu Zimei.
"That’s enough,” Wu Daozi waved his hand, interrupting Ye Mi. He turned to Xu Zimei and said with a smile,
"To be honest, we might need Young Master Xu’s assistance with something. If successful, we will reward you generously.”
"No need. My decision to leave Nine Ghosts Academy is firm, so you don’t need to persuade me,” Xu Zimei shook his head and refused.
He then turned and walked away.
Watching Xu Zimei’s departing figure, Ye Mi said angrily, “That man is far too arrogant. Someone needs to humble him.”
"And how would you do that? Are you his match?” Wu Daozi turned and asked indifferently.
"We can call upon the Nine Ghost Lords,” Ye Mi suggested.
"If we call on the Nine Ghost Lords for everything, then what’s the point of me being the dean?” Wu Daozi countered.
Seeing Ye Mi fall silent, Wu Daozi said coldly, “If you want someone dead, let them go mad first.”
After parting ways with Wu Daozi and the others, Xu Zimei found Xie Changliu, and the two returned to the Venerable Mother’s Hall together.
Lai Canyin had been waiting there for some time.
"The map you wanted,” Lai Canyin said, tossing a map to Xu Zimei.
The map was made of some sort of Monster Beast hide and was well-preserved. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
When Xu Zimei spread it open, it stretched to a hundred meters in length—majestic mountains and rivers leaping vividly off the surface.
Every stroke depicted the terrain with extraordinary detail.
"The vast Ghost God Realm is divided into five sections:
Half-God Domain, Half-Ghost Domain, Half-Burial Domain, Sealess Domain, and the Forbidden Land,” Lai Canyin explained while standing beside the map.
"Our Nine Ghosts Academy is located in the Half-God Domain, while Seven Gods Academy is in the Sealess Domain.”
Xu Zimei looked at the map and nodded slightly.
"The Half-God Domain is already part of the central regions, while the Sealess Domain is more remote and lacks resources. That’s why Seven Gods Academy has always wanted to relocate,” Lai Canyin continued to explain.
"Have you ever heard any legends about the Ancient Gods?” Xu Zimei asked.
"Ancient Gods? What are those?” Lai Canyin asked, puzzled.
"Never mind, I suppose you wouldn’t have heard of them,” Xu Zimei shook his head and replied.
Lai Canyin thought for a moment before continuing, “You might find what you’re looking for in the Scripture Pavilion at Nine Ghosts Academy.”
"The Scripture Pavilion is off-limits. I think it’s safe to say my relationship with your academy is completely severed,” Xu Zimei replied.
Lai Canyin fell silent for a moment and ultimately chose to say no more.
After committing the map to memory, Xu Zimei put it away.
At the same time, Jiang Mozi came along with a group of students, having packed up their belongings.
"Shall we leave now?” Jiang Mozi asked.
"Let’s go,” Xu Zimei nodded.
"I hope we’ll meet again in the future,” Lai Canyin’s voice came from the side.
Xu Zimei nodded slightly.
The two led the assembled students of Heavenly Saint Academy out of the Nine Ghosts Academy.
Passing through the vast square, they walked along shaded avenues lined with an array of strange stone statues.
Just as they stepped into this area, a rhythmic and synchronized sound of footsteps echoed.
Soon after, a crowd of people rushed out from both sides, surrounding them.
The leader of this group was none other than Ye Mi.
A formidable aura surged around him; strands of Mixed Yuan energy coiled around his body.
His white robe billowed in the wake of the Mixed Yuan energy.
Beside him stood four elders.
The Four Symbols’ power emanated from these elders, their overwhelming force shaking the heavens and earth.
With white beards flowing, their faces were etched with deep wrinkles.
"What’s the meaning of this?” Xu Zimei looked at Ye Mi and smiled.
"Are you looking for a fight?”
"This has nothing to do with you,” Ye Mi said flatly.
"You may leave, but they cannot.”
Ye Mi pointed to the students of Heavenly Saint Academy.
"Why?” Jiang Mozi stepped forward and asked.
"Weren’t you the one who decided to expel us from the academy?”
"That was then. The academy has now reconsidered and decided to keep you,” Ye Mi replied.
"This is the academy’s mercy; you’d better not waste it.”
Jiang Mozi scanned his surroundings, chuckled softly, and said,
"If the academy wanted us to return, a simple notification would suffice.
Was all this fanfare really necessary?”
"This is the dean’s directive,” Ye Mi said impatiently.
"Then I’m afraid not. From the moment you chose to expel me, I ceased to be part of the Nine Ghosts Academy,” Jiang Mozi replied.
"Are you certain?” Ye Mi narrowed his eyes, a dangerous glint flashing within them, as he asked.
Jiang Mozi smiled and turned to Xu Zimei, saying, “You used to say I had knelt for too long. Well, this time, I’ll stand up.”
He lifted his head and puffed out his chest, looking directly at Ye Mi with a smile. “I’m certain.”
"Good, very good,” Ye Mi said with a laugh of rage.
